I have had multiple experiences with john. They were difficult tasks but john was able to complete them all. I had an artist halogen light for my piano and no one could fix. john made it work beautifully. He restored an old tarnished chandelier and it is exceptional. He also retro fitted pendants to fit onto a narrow beam. I strongly recommend john for any lighting situation whether simple or “impossible.”

John does really great work and is a pleasure to do business with. Hes very knowledgeable and makes suggestions on the basis of whats practical. I brought in both high end and less fancy lamps, his rates were fair for all and worth the repair in every case. Very satisfied with the quality of work, I took in three table and floor lamps, a few months later Im bringing in another three; definitely a go-to service with rapid turnaround. He sells shades and bulbs too, one stop care; best lamp repair on Long Island and beyond.

We recently came into possession of an antique floor lamp, probably about 100 years old. It is a family heirloom. Although the lamp worked, it was in need of rewiring, as well as repairs of a significant crack in the pole near its base. We were unsure if it could be repaired at all. I found 2 local lamp repair shops, and emailed them both regarding what we needed. Both asked for pictures, which I sent over. John at Beautiful Lighting responded immediately. I never heard back from the other party. Working with John was a pleasure . He always responded timely which is a difficult attribute to find these days. He took wonderful care of our lamp and did a great job scoping out a new casting to replace the broken pole segment It looks like it has always been there. He even took the time to polish the whole piece to make it look even more uniform. John quoted us a very fair price considering the parts, labor and expertise needed to make the repair. Upon picking up the lamp, he gave us a significant discount because the work needed was less than he anticipated. The lamp is just gorgeous and has a whole new life! Worked with John a few months ago when we brought him a chandelier I purchased off Facebook marketplace...it needed repair and cleaning. John is a master at his trade. We finally put our chandelier up and it looks absolutely spectacular. He brought my dream to life ! The owner and craftsman, John, was a pleasure to do business with. According to the fixture specifications I needed wire extensions for a high ceiling. Although the fixture needed complete dismantling, John reassured me that, although time intensive, it would be no problem. Later that day, he called to tell me the news... I didnt need any extension, the wire was long enough! I found an honest man today who took pride in his work ethic. Thank you John.... Ill be back!

I highly recommend this business. The owner, John, was pleasant, professional, accommodating and fast. He was able to squeeze me in at the last minute. My lamp took less that 1/2 hour to repair and his fee was extremely fair. I will definitely give him my business going forward and refer all my friends and family to him.

We have an old floor lamp my wife wanted to keep; it needed new wiring & new parts. I felt it was not repairable, but I brought it to John in pieces anyway. The man is a magician/genius. John did a fantastic job on an antique lamp I inherited from my parents. He took it apart and re-wired and fixed every inch of this sentimental lamp. John even took pictures of the process so I could see exactly the work involved. His price was more than fair for the expert workmanship!

My happy and excited Labrador Retriever knocked over and broke one of my living room lamps - the wire at the top became disconnected.
