Hippo Storage moved us the week of Oct. 11th, 2021. It was a short move in Kingsland GA. They were prompt, timely and very safe. Not one item was damaged, nor a wall scratched. I recently had Hippo handle my residential move which was about 6 hours away from St. Marys. They did a fantastic job and did everything they promised they would do and more. The price was firm and did not change and their quote was much better than the more popular companies that I had give me a quote. The personal touch made a huge difference and I felt as if my possessions were well taken care of from start to finish. Only had 1 broken glass which was my fault because I didnt pack that box as well as I should have! They were amazing and I happily give them 5 stars without hesitation!

Hippo Storage moved us recently from Saint Marys to Fernandina Beach. James and crew arrived on time, began promptly, wrapped all of the fragile pieces with care, and then placed everything exactly as we requested at the destination. Although a short move, it was a thoroughly professional and pain-free experirence. The company regularly gets five star reviews, and every one is fully deserved. We were very pleased with the service, and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I went to Hippo storage when I was moving because of all the 5 star reviews and I was not disappointed. They let me borrow some gently used boxes so I could pack my belongings. This made it so l wouldnt have to pay for new boxes and their associated packaging fees. Its a relief to find a company trying to help you save money instead of trying to find ways to nickel and dime you. The movers (Chris and his team) who showed up were very careful with my belongings. They were professional and ensured I was happy with everything they did. I hope I dont have to move again anytime soon, but if I do, Im hiring them.

Never had a more professional crew to come in and do a move for me. Ive had several moves throughout the years. But the way they came in and rolled out everything all over the floor before moving anything Ive never seen that before and the professionalism mannerism of all the young men that were there and the fact that the owner himself showed up to make sure everything was done properly and professionally shows a lot about how he cares about how his company is represented. Would recommend hippo to anyone that discusses with me about the possibility of a storage facility or moving again very much appreciate it for the job as well done regards.

If I could give this company 0 or negative numbers of stars I would. Had the owner of the company come give estimate for local move. The estimate he gave was for 5-6 hours for 2 bedroom and office move and no dining room furniture just three chairs for the island . It took a crew of 5-6 plus the owner came for a third of the time 9 hours to move us. Plus a 7th man came 4 1/2 hours into the move because things were moving so slowly. The owner was training a couple of guys during the packing. There were three of the guys who clearly won’t make it in the world of movers because they are so slow it was painful to watch. My husband finally had enough and step into give direction. They put a dent in the walls of the duplex we were renting. Put deep scratches on a 40 year old hutch and a small circular abrasion on a desk. My husband had to go back an forth with the office staff and finally the owner. The owner finally after much hassle and never taking accountability for the slowness of some of his employees gave 20 percent off. Even one of the experienced movers said it took longer than it should of. Charging for nine hours with what happened and taking into account that my husband helped unload boxes and gave directions I don’t think is fair. It took a half hour for one of the 7 guys to fix the scratches on the hutch. If you want a painful move this is the company to choose

Our move was made quick and easy! We were pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and speed of the team that came in to move our furniture!!I would definitely recommend using this company for all of your moving needs.

Our experience with this company is nothing less than STELLA! When you think about it they have all your possessions. I can tell you we were more than 100% satisfied with the professional and caring way they treated us and our possessions from pickup to delivery and set-up. There aren’t enough stars or compliments to give this company! Marcus, Joseph and the crews (along with Tina the coordinator) are beyond amazing. They set a move date and were kind enough to reschedule it for me. The guys wrapped and carefully moved all my stuff. They disassembled and reassembled stuff as needed. They were smiling and laughing the entire time which helped ease my nervous/stressed out mood! I’ve stored with both Hippo locations and used the pods for moving and storage! But I will 100% use the movers again and recommend them to everyone! The rates are so reasonable! Better that any other local movers in the area of Brunswick and Jax. Top notch service!It doesn’t get any better than this!!

Place and owner is amazing. Gave me truck to move everything, eventhiufh not free because my rental unit was too small to qualify only $19.99! Called knowing I would need truck after deadline to return and had absolutely no problem! Staff super friendly and helpful!! I would recommend to anyone!! Plus cute storage kitties roaming around. Also seems like owners have honey bees! I approved of anyone helping the environment and animals on it!!

I have been doing business with Jin McClain at Hippo Storage since 2002. I have rented 2 different storage units from him and have stored my boat there or over 17 years. Never once have I had any issues or problems with him, his staff or the storage nits or my boat. He and his staff are the most friendly and helpful people I have meet. It is a pleasure to do business with honest, hard working, and caring people. Living 3,5 hours away it is comforting know my stuff is well looked after and safe. For those few bad reviews I read all I can say is that If you had problems with Mr. McClain or his staff, they were likely not the reason. As a former banker and businessman all I can say is that his business is run the all business should be - professional, caring and courteous. It is a fact in the world we live in - you cant please everybody - no matter how hard you try. Great business Mr. McClain. Thank you!

I had to use the storage facility after the death of my mother. I relocated to find a job and to go to nursing school to build a better life for my daughter and I.I must admit it was difficult at first finding full time work was a bit of a problem and the owner of the storage place worked with with my payments.My blessing of a full time job came in September. I immediately called Mr. Jim the owner to make arrangements to pay off the remaining balance in two months. I asked him for the balance plus two month storage and delivery fee. a complete balance so i could pay it off before I move into my apartment in two months. He refused and told me i had to pay a certain amount that day or he will sell my property. I was forced to hire a lawyer and file chapter 13 bankruptcy so he could not sell my property. Mr Jim still will not release my property and he gets a monthly payment that is allotted out of my check and he is still adding storage fees on to my property because he refuses to release it to me. the fact is he is getting paid and still refuses to give me my property. this Christmas my daughter and i will be sleeping on the floor in our apartment while he and his family sleeps in a comfortable bed and we will not be have Christmas dinner at a table because Mr. Jim still has it locked up. In this economy we have to look out for each other. I will rise above this Mr Jim MERRY Christmas and god bless you.

I was a Navy wife for 20 years and I have never ever had such a horrible move. The only thing they did right was show up on time. Three men and a supervisor, none of which knew how to pack and move anyone. I only was moving small stuff and just a few special pieces of furniture. The crew was asking the supervisor what to do every 5 minutes. When he sent the crew to another part of the house, the supervisor would go check on them and come back in 15 or 20 minutes. Then start in a different location. NO ROOM WAS COMPLETED. They charged me by the box so guess what, each box was only 1/2 full. I only gave them one star because I couldn’t find a way to give them a “MINUS 2 stars”

I had a wonderful experience with Hippo Storage in Kingsland, GA. They are very professional, they took great care in wrapping and packing my things. I feel they went above and beyond to make sure my furniture and other belongings were well taken care of. The manager Tina is awesome as well as the staff. I highly recommend this company.

Great folks to deal with, and an exceedingly well maintained storage facility - spotlessly clean - probably the nicest Ive ever encountered. Very satisfied customer!

Guys were all respectful and did a fantastic job.

Poor customer service and no communication. I found my car in poor condition from being exposed to the weather and being outside for a long time. While my contract specified that my car be stored under the roof. When I started to ask questions about what happened to my car, no one could give me an answer. No one has even appologized for their error. Management seems to not know what is going on in their own storage facility.

I only gave them 1 star because there wasnt an option to give 0. First off, they spent about an hour bubble wrapping items that werent worth the cost to wrap. At nearly $200 an hour, wrapping a $20 chair doesnt really make since if it takes more than about 45 seconds to wrap. Beyond that, they were supposed to move everything from in our house but apparently they wont touch things that arent perfectly boxed. This includes items such as ladders. Im not exactly sure the proper specifications on boxing a ladder. Strollers are also apparently off limits.I will not be using their services ever again, and you shouldnt either.PS - Thanks for breaking my daughters prized Hello Kitty bed, and for wrapping my $20 IKEA chair, but not my $2000 carbon Fiber Bike
