The customer service I experienced at this store was exceptional. I initially ordered a set of four tires from them and they were the wrong size (my fault) but they were able to quickly accommodate me, suggesting a comparable replacement they had in stock. The price was great, they were able to add on some additional benefits while still keeping me within my budget and the tires were of a great quality. They went out of their way to help me and make my experience with them a positive one. I will definitely go back for tires and for other automotive services.

Very friendly and professional personel willing to help. Our motor home broke down and it was repaired as quickly as possible when parts were available the next day. They allowed us to keep the motor home in their parking lot so a motel room was not required. They provided electricity and water so we could live comfortably. Gave a vehicle to us to use so we could get food since we were completely out of food. Again we want to thank Larry and Mike for the great hospitality.

We were able to get in right away for an oil change and they threw in a free tire rotation. Billy also looked at our breaks. Really great service, very friendly, and funny. All the staff is amazing and funny, including Ronnie!

I had went to the location in Kingsport on 11W and had a great experience. So when it was time for new tires they were my place. They had my tire information in the system from my last purchase and they were in stock. So it seemed quicker than a self checkout at a Grocery Store that my vehicle was ready. Made an appointment Thursday for Saturday to check brakes through Carvana warranty and service writer said they didnt do the Silver Rock warranty, which the manager and I had a lengthy conversation about it Thursday. Well today he said we never talked about Silver Rock, that was mainly what our conversation was about. I went down to Kingsport Tire and Phil the manager said they would do whatever it takes to get it taken care of. He made our appointment and well see what happens. But I wouldnt recommend FST Kingsport at all. That isnt they way customer service is handled at all.

Drop Dead! That’s the message from new owner Monro (out of New York) to legacy Free Service Tire customers. Lifetime alignments purchased on multiple vehicles are no longer being honored. Oil changes pre-purchased on Free Service Tire discount cards are no longer accepted. (Fortunately, down to just one but the lost money is by a daughter who is an elementary school teacher.) These arrangements were good to have regular visits, so I did extensive business with Free Service Tire over years from Center Street to their move out on Stone Drive. No longer. Monro is a single-transaction firm with no loyalty. If they have the best price on your preferred tires, then the crew is good for the service. Unfortunately, Monro the corporation loses three stars on this review. Grant Tire in downtown Kingsport was recommended by an acquaintance, so will check them out for next vehicle service needs.

I have purchased 2 sets of tires for 2 different vehicles at this location in the past month. Both times, I was given professional, sound advice. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and allow you to make decisions without trying to oversell. Their prices are just as competitive as any other place in town. I highly recommend them and I will be back in the future.

Went in with a coupon for a 9.99 oil change. They took my information told me to have a set. Not 10 minutes later the service tech came in and said all but one of my tires was bad. In which they try to sale me 4 tires, when I declined the gentleman said suit yourself. Oil change finish go to play and it’s over 16 okay fine not that bad until I was charge almost 5 dollars to dispose of the old oil. Wait, what no one else does this and if the do it’s included In the price. I feel like because I was a women they tried to make money anyway they could. Will not go back..

Nice and friendly staff. I got my appointment fast and it didn’t take long get my tires on. They Pointed out and issue I have with my wheel and explained what to expect and what to do to fix it. They printed all of my receipts ( from a previous visit and today) so I had them together. We will most likely start coming here for our car needs.

I needed expert advice about my car an of course went to Free Service on Stone Drive. I explained the problem I was having and they immediately called a technician. I told him about the problem. He road tested my car and took it to the work area. After while he came to the counter and told me what was wrong. I was dumbfounded. 3 major problems! They went into great detail explained everything. I had wanted to drive up to Russell co.Va. so my nephew could use the car as his work car. The tech. And the counter man said it would be a great mistake to drive. It seems my wheel could fall off at any point. They understood that I didnt have that much money to put in the car at the moment. They honestly didnt strong arm me into repairs. They were concerned about my safety..With their honest concern I promised to drive home and park my car. I have previously rated this business as a 5. If I could change it to a -5, I most certainly would now. Free service was bought by Monro in May 2018. There are very few of the same people working at the Kingsport TN location. In the past month they managed to completely screw up a rotation and balance on my truck, stating I needed new tires with only 2/32 worn on them (although the Goodyear in Kingsport balanced them just fine), AND made a number of mistakes on my sons car. They told me it needed two new front tires and an alignment. They wanted $200 more for the tires than I could get them anywhere else. Bought the tires myself and took them to be mounted and have an alignment. THEY MOUNTED ASYMMETRICAL TIRES INSIDE OUT!!! Then tried to tell me the pull the car had was the new tires were bad.So I take the vehicle to Goodyear, to get the tires mounted correctly. They informed me Free Service had siliconed the caps on the wheels?? Who does that?? Then I get notified that they are unable to do the alignment (definitely wanted this checked since Free Service said it was perfect) due to a damaged inner tie rod. There was no play in the wheel or damage to the tie rod prior to service at Free Service. If you value your vehicle and money at all, do yourself a favor and never go to this place. Warn all your friends and family too!!

Last week was driving down stone Dr in Kingsport. Saw their sign said oil change and tire rotation. I went in around noon today. Spoke with Carl who greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. I told him what service I wanted. He immediately advised me that they were booked till 3. He set up an appointment for 3. He took my info so he could have everything set up when I got there. I arrived back at 2:50 he greeted me like I had been there a million times even though it was my first time. Got me checked in we chatted about work and my vehicle. The experience I had today was honestly the best experience Ive ever had getting service for my vehicle. Every thing was done within 30 minutes honesty is a big thing he quoted me a higher price for the service because of incorrect information I have him about my oil. Once they got the correct info he adv me the price would be lower. I was surprised and happy. Just want to say thanks to Carl and his team they ROCK!!!!!

So I have a 2013 chevy sonic that I got from smart auto. And for the last month or so my car wouldnt start and I had no clue what was wrong. I was afraid to take it to smart auto as I didnt want them to put a bandaid over whatever the issue was. So I came in to service tire and auto center and david boffey took care of issue and it was super fast. This was a follow up appointment for an air conditioner system leak check. Everything was taken care of in a friendly and courteous manner. My vehicle checked out and was returned to me with no additional charges, but with the same friendly and courteous service we always get at Free Service Tire. We have used the Kingsport location for all our vehicles and have complete trust in their work.

I ordered tires online and had them shipped here to be put on. Everything went smooth and on time. Staff is great too! Prices are always as quoted with no complications. I get my oil changes done here now too and they are always quick and cheaper than other garages.

These guys are great, I tell my friends they are the car whisperers! I cant tell you how many times my daughter and I have taken our cars to them after hearing an intermittent noise and they figure it out. One time it was some inexpensive bushings that were cracked. If they had broken it would have been a very expensive fix. Ill never go anywhere else.
