I love this place. You never know what kind of treasures you may run across. Some prices are extremely low and some prices are extremely high. I suppose whoever prices the items use their best judgment. This place is always crowded so be prepared for lots of people in a confined space. Grab the first parking spot you come across, otherwise, you may end up parking across the street. They definitely need more parking but it is well worth a visit. Fell in love with this pic...had to have it...$5.00...cannot beat that...frame is solid/heavy and just as pretty as the picture.

There is a lot of junk donated that should be in a dumpster. Call the Lions club and redonate all the handicap material. People should donate decent, reusable materials and they should be priced as reusable not competitors with Lowes . I know its volunteers but there is no organization.

They have awesome stuff but the prices are crazy high on some things, and the gentlemen working in the warehouse was extremely rude and not helpful at all.We are looking for windows and currently struggling which is why we came here... I found a couple things I wanted and was told I could set them down while looking at windows but when I asked the guy if I could go back to the other side to get those things he wouldnt even ask anyone he just said that they was closed And the doors were now locked so I was unable to even purchase those items that I had sat down. Im highly disappointed and very aggravated with the way he treated us didnt even offer to carry or help us carry the windows to our vehicle.

I like this store, but it is nearly impossible to buy a lot due to there being no shopping carts. There are baskets, but only a handful, and these only hold a tiny amount. The store is huge. I would buy a great deal, but I cannot carry it. In addition there is a strange pricing discrepancy. Some items are reasonable, some are just silly. My suggestion: stop trolling eBay and just sell the stuff.

Some of the staff was nice, except for the older gentleman who decided to be rude to us and tell my daughter if she didnt pull up her mask (cause it was off her nose), And if she didnt he wouldnt sell to us. Then he comes to the front where we are checking out and flirts with a woman whos mask is way under her nose! (Never said the first thing to her about her mask) If thats the kind of employees you keep, then I will not return and I will tell others how we were treated. It would have been different if he had approached us nicely about it and without the attitude, but he was very rude the way he talked to my 13 year old daughter.

I so enjoy book shopping here. The woman who works diligently to keep the books in order is extremely kind.My grandson loves to find toy, puzzles, and game bargains. It is a fun excursion, for you never know what may be there.I agree with other posts, that some items seem too pricey, yet others are a good deal. That is typical in all the thrift stores we visit. If customer service is less than stellar, then I have to think that we need to back up a bit and look at management. Are these workers appreciated? Sort of sad to think that they show up to be grumpy. Seriously people...it is just stuff.

Great store with lots of great items from dishes and dishware to a 1997 UT collectors Barbie and back to chandeliers. For someone starting fresh its a great treasure trove of fairly priced items for us who are starting with scratch feed 😉😁 Or those needing to remodel or repair anything in there home.

Make sure you visit the inside store and the warehouse. The warehouse has windows, doors, lumber, tile, bathroom & kitchen fixtures, etc. I like the large selection of used books inside. Most are twenty-five cents, but some are priced higher inside the book cover. (Buying a stack of books is an inexpensive indulgence.) You can also find old records, cameras, crafting supplies and office supplies. They also have curtains and dishware. Inventory changes constantly, I agree with the reviewer who said its a treasure-hunt type of place. They have had some very unique antiques at times. If youre into collectibles you should visit. I think I recall the furniture being a little pricey for the age and condition, but the money goes to a good cause. (So if you see a piece youre in love with its worth buying.) Ive always had helpful and professional service during my visits.

Very dissatisfied ! Have visited numerous times.Great inventory.Great prices.STAFF EXTREMELY RUDE.No people skills. From what I have researched items are donated and the goal is to sell those items.I am an impulse buyer as are most people who frequent Thrift/ Good Will/Habitat stores.Their best bet is to get me checked out with my items as soon as possible .If Im waiting more than forty five minutes for someone( who insisted Ill be right back) to return to help me, then when they dont show, have to search for more than twenty minutes on my own for someone else, then spoken to in a loud, condesending, and rude manner not about how they can finally help me, but as reprimand for taking the sales sticker off the item(which is why I was looking for someone. To finalize purchase of those items),then not only am I no longer interested in buying over $350.00 of furniture, Im not interested in ever returning to Holston Habitat For Humanity. And I plan to share my experience with everyone I meet.I hope the help is volunteer and not hired.I would hate to think someone gets paid to treat customers in such a manner.

I was here for the first time today...way overpriced furniture & lots of stuff NOT priced. Warehouse worker was extremely rude. I was interested in drawer fronts that were piled into a junk corner in the back of the store. She insisted that they were all $2.50, because thats what they charge for ALL drawers, even though these were clearly broken & thrown in a pile! A manager came & priced the scrap wood I bought & she was irritated that he charged me less than what she wanted to. Ill go to Lowes & buy new next time, even though Im all for buying from companies that benefit others. Johnson City Restore is so much better than this one!

Its like a huge yard sale that is over priced on many things and great deals on some things. I was amazed at the selection of random stuff though. Some very cool life a huge semicircle window, some garbage like the front end to a Dodge Avenger. If you line scavenger hunts, this is a good place.

I really believe that the boss has to be the rudest woman on Earth! I was standing in line behind an elderly lady, who ask about an item price, I get it if its a newer item and cant but be reduced. Theres no reason to be hateful to your elders. Dorethy I believe is what the managements name is, the blonde one who was nice enough to inform her that she had been boss there 2 years. Exact wording. Please come off your power Trip, its supposed to be for lower income people. You mam need some manors.

Staff in the furniture etc are very rude to say the least. However the ones in building supplies are much nicer. Agree that most furniture is over priced. Wondering if it doesnt sell if employees can have? Because they definitely dont want to sell. The building supplies are more reasonably priced with friendly staff.

I am shocked at the prices of everything at the Holston Habatat For Resale store in Kingsport. This place runs on donated items from the community. This store is trying to compete with antique stores on their prices. Furniture is torn and soiled, but priced so high that people looking for a good bargain while living on a low or fixed income are wasting their time there. If you are shopping for useable household items at a fair price. Look somewhere else.... Disappointed shopper.
