I went during the closeout sale that they had, to say the least it was fair. I am a rather large fellow, they didnt have any large or extra-large clothing available, more than likely due to me waiting 3 weeks before I went to check out to see what they had. They still have a lot of bedding, curtains, socks, underwear, and jewelry but a lot of other things are lacking. If you need some things for around your house, make sure you check them out! Im sure that they have anything that you could possibly need -- I just wasnt personally looking for those kind of items.

Ive always enjoyed shoppingat this store and its sad thatIts closing. They do have alot of merchandise left. Andthe clearance racks have somegreat deals.

Going out of business sale seems to me that they Mark prices up then discount to higher than originally priced. Not honoring advertised sale items or discounts. They will blow email up with the discounts etc though up to 3 times a day

Our local jcpenneys is going out business, so they have a lot things 60% & 70% off. If you have or are going to start your own clothing business, there even selling the wracks and shelves.

They have a good selection of exciting and exotic clothing that rivals that of TJ MAXX from time to time. An important tip: if you find something you really like there thats NOT on sale come back in a week or two. The only merchandise there sold at full price is merchandise they have recently put out. I saw a shirt that was put out that same week for $40. I came back 10 days later and it was $25

We were looking for Lee Jeans that were advertised for $29.95. When we got to the checkout we were told the discount was only good if you applied for their credit card. Since we dont need another card the Jeans were actually $34.95. FALSE ADVERTISING, RIP OFF!!

Found my daughter a very nice Sadie Hawkins dance dress that she needed for the event! Went to multiple stores & JC Penney had the best selection and great prices. Had alot of different styles for Semi formal dances! Would highly recommend!

I have to order my teenage sons jeans online because stores dont carry his small waist and long length. He wears 28x34. JCPenny is great because I can order online and pick it up in store. This way I dont have to pay for shipping. JCPenny sends me text messages with updates and when my order is ready for pickup. Im very pleased with the service I receive and the quality of the jeans are great.

I love JC Penny in general. I appreciated their lack of coupons for a while that brought their prices way down but apparently most people werent fond of the idea and it went back to how it was. Still, with a coupon they have some great deals and I raid their clearance sections often.

I believe theyre going to go back to catalog, absolutely no customer service just cashiers waiting to take your money.

I did business with this company for over 12 years. Always paid my credit card on time and in full. I had a 1000.00 credit limit. They sent me new card. Cut my credit to 400.00 I called and ask why I was given no answer. I was wanting to buy a washer and dryer. My credit score is 785. So when they couldnt respect me as being a loyal customer for so many years I closed my account and cut my card up. They lost over 2000.00 sale because of them treating me unfair. Bad business since!

Got what I was looking for an happy with my purchase

Sat outside for 20 min waiting for the doors to open because I didn’t know they didn’t open till 12. I reviewed my coupon 2 times to make sure it could be used on the product I have. I thought when I came in I wouldn’t have a problem and if I did It would be fixed. Manager walked up, no name tag so idk who she was. Told me my coupon couldn’t be used (wasn’t clearance or on sale and it wasn’t on the can’t be used for this list either) manager had an attitude “well there is no sense in arguing with you” was said twice to me. All I said was show me where it says that because if I was wrong I would have admitted it right away and bought the item but she couldn’t show me so she got annoyed. I will be driving to JC from KP from now on to deal with them. I have been wrong about a coupon before and I admit it and move on but I guess she was not having it with me.

I dropped off my wifes engagement ring and wedding band (that had a lifetime care plan on both rings). JC Penney kingsport never sent it in after over 5 weeks of having it (Johnson City JC Penney has never given us issues). My wife called to check the status. The rep proceeded to blame my wife for not having the care plan (that we did most definitely have), and did not apologize for the lack of communication on their part. After i tried to call and report i was greeted witha lack of empathy, and no apology. I have gone here since i was a kid, and can not say i will be back. Thank you for your time.

Cashiers with sloth DNA. There were 8 people in line, took cashier 10 min to ring one with 3 items. I thought well may be the customer that is slow, but next customer took 8 min for 2 items. I went to find another register, all were in the same situation 8+ people in line and it was not moving. Came back to original line, they were still on the 3rd customer. 3 people checked out in almost 25 min with no more than 10 items between them. Dropped my stuff and walked out.
