The food there as always was Top Notch! And the wait staff there are the cherry on the top.

Solid breakfast place. Just the basics...eggs,toast pancakes etc. Nothing fancy or creative. Waitstaff is very good and kitchen is quick.

Our usual breakfast spot was closed. We decided to try The Early Bird for the first time. The food was excellent and the service as well. Our waitress was superb. Cant remember her name. A young,bubbly redhead. Very kind and professional. We ordered and our food was on the table in like 5 minutes. Highly recommend this establishment. I believe our waitresses name was Erica.

Loved this little restaurant! The prices are very reasonable - especially for the amount of delicious food. The taste of food had this down - home - cooked - small - town sort of taste, which is good. Also, they do not accept credit cards (which I think is pretty awesome since the restaurant has this old feel to it), and one of the best parts is they they dont have TVs plastered all over the place! Not even one TV was discovered in there. Also the speed and service was tremendous, especially during Fathers Day. Highly recommend it.

A great stop in the early morning for my breakfast sandwich and coffee. Everything was just as it should be and I drove away feeling fine. How much more can you ask for in a country dinner? Dont forget to leave a nice tip and say, PapaJoe sent me.

This was my 1st time eating here.9 am. On a Saturday.Very hungry for a good and filling breakfast.There was no waiting to get in.I had a omelet made my way.( Mushrooms, Broccoli, Sharp cheese). It came with toast.( thick cut, wheat toast)An order of bacon.( I was told there were 4 pieces of bacon to an order. Mine came with 5. Yay Me! ; )Coffee and grapefruit juice.The service was amazingly fast.And the waitress was kind and attentive.I also ordered their grilled Cinnamon Roll To- Go.I had heard that they were delicious.I will save the roll for my desert tonight. Warmed, with a scoop of ice cream.It is 10: am on a Saturday. And I am very happy that The Early Bird has helped to start my weekend off right!!

The service was good. French toast was very dry as well as the pancakes. Bacon was on point. Drinks are outrageous 14.68$ for one person.

Nice place and our waitress very nice but the food was not the greatest. The omelet was dry. The home fries where pretty much burnt. Sausage was very salty. Lunch might be better but the breakfast gets 2 stars.

Strawberry pancake is too good to miss. Friendly, efficient, accurate service even with the shortage of staff during a pandemic. The muffins are wonderful, especially on the grill. This is my go-to place for breakfast on the Waterville area! Lunch is great, too.

Most certainly a down home Maine experience! If youre looking for a great breakfast place with great prices and great service, than youve found it here! The Early Bird in Oakland is the best....I recommend the grilled muffin top to start! If you see a Veteran there, pay for their breakfast, its the least you can do!!

Best diner for miles. Delicious comfort food. Delightful servers and staff. Each of our foursome ordered something different, and no one was disappointed. We went for lunch, but the breakfast menu was available as well. Great experience.

They are fast and efficient! The person I went with loves burnt toast with runny eggs. Believe it or not, it can be difficult to get that combo right yet it was spot on. Mine was also just right. Thanks folks it was great.

Great place to start your day. Small town friendly. The earlier you get there the better because it does fill up. Standard fair breakfast foods cooked fast, so great if youre in a rush.

Food was filling and not expensive. Comfortable diner style atmosphere. We had breakfast but the lunch menu was up and looked great. No credit cards accepted but atm inside. Plan on going back soon.

Usually have a good experience but the service was slower than usual and it wasnt that busy.The waitress never came back and asked us how the food was and my grandsons pancake was burnt. I had to go and hunt her down and ask for my check. My chicken pot pie with excellent though.

I love this place. Breakfast comes out hot and quick. Service is always spot on and the food is tasty. My only complaint is that they have crappy sausage, so I usually get bacon. Get there early though because the name holds true, they get super busy past 8:00 on Sat and Sund.

We always enjoy our breakfast at the Early Bird restaurant. There is often a wait but their service is quick and friendly.

The server was the best part of this experience. I think her name was Sherry. My husbands pancakes tasted like they were made from a box mix and my french toast was soggy. The server had my French toast remade and it was still the same. Bland and soggy. The explanation was that they use homemade bread and that might be why theyre soggy. Hmmmm, I really dont think so. I wanted to like this place, but we wont be going back. Instead of making a better effort to make it right Im pretty sure the owner was standing behind the counter talking about me. Again, Sherry was great, but otherwise not a good meal. I wish I had a photo of my French toast.

Always so busy for breakfast. Closes fairly early in the day. But the price rite the staff is nice and the food is good homestyle food. The portions are medium. Not small, but not huge. Youll leave full but most likely not with left overs.
