I’ve worked with Swimking for 3 years now. Service has definitely fallen off. Although very knowledgeable of their products customer service has taken a turn for the worse. This year I called to schedule a Pool opening and couldn’t get anyone to return phone calls which I ended up doing myself with the help of YouTube. Now for the pool closing I was told mid October and nobody showed up until early November. Had I not called several times to get an update might’ve waited longer. After paying the full amount for winter pool closing I now come to find out the salt cell and water filter wasn’t removed because “I don’t ask for it”. Being they closed my pool in 2019 and all of that was included in the price I don’t think I should ask for it nor was it offered to me. I paid nearly $500 for a pool closing and now I’m being told I should remove the salt cell and filter for winter myself. I find that very unprofessional, at the very least offer it and let the customer decide. Again I’ve had my pool closed twice, once with them and once with a local pool store and not once did I have to specify what needs to be done. You’re the Pool professionals you should ensure it’s closed properly and offer the correct service. No responsibility was taken from the store when I called to find out why, nothing offered to correct the issue they blamed me for their mistake. Very disappointed.

You can see Guitar Center is in trouble. Nearly empty store of gear. Staff basically disinterested in helping customers. No one bothers to do merchandising on the sales floor.Reverb, American Musical Supply, Sweetwater, and others are burying the brick and mortar guitar store.

Go see Greg or Gary for all of your pool/spa needs. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and dont rip you off like Aqua jet.

They Nswered the phone right away but when I asked about a pool.heater and was asked by the sales person what kind I replied natural gas then they asked me how many BTU I wanted I replied I did not know, I proceeded to let them k ow that I had an above ground 18 round I was told I needed a 250000 BTU heater and the price would run me $2800 closer to $3000, plus I stallion and electrical. I then asked what about 150000 BTU he said it would be around 17000 but he recommends the other for my size pool. I told hi. I would call back then I started googling and come to find out my size pool would only required about 100,000 BTU. So, you figured it out!

YES It did take almost 2 months for my pool to be completed BUT ALL was beyond their control! I have to say what is fair is fair as they completed customer pools in these two aspects when parts were available and keeping them in the order in which they were received by sales date and time!I am looking forward to deal with Swim King for all my pools needs!

Dont expect service after youve dropped $$ on product (in our case, thousands on a hot tub and a pool cover). I paid a deposit in March to have the pool opened and serviced. In April I got a call from one of the owners asking for an opening date in late April; we were having excavating done so I said any time after May 20 would work. A week or so after May 20, having not heard from them, I called and was told they make the schedule a day or two ahead of time and theyd call. On June 8 I called again, and was told my work order said that I would call when ready. They got the info wrong, twice. Instead of apologizing, the guy on the phone acted like I was the one in the wrong, asked if I wanted to talk to the owner (who didnt bother getting on the phone), and then returned to the phone and told me they werent going to open the pool.

Gary and the team at Swim King are the best in terms of their knowledge and courtesy. We are always greeted warmly and receive professional service. Whenever our water is a little off, we can count on Swim King to get it crystal clear. They even know how to work with our finicky salt cell! And their prices are more competitive than most pool stores. We highly recommend them.

Purchased our pool from Gary in 2017, who was wonderful. Installation was awesome, team friendly and completed in the timeline promised. While learning maintenance the following year, we called the store with a question. Mike was in the area so he came by to help and even brought the salt we needed. Everyone there is awesome. When I bought my pool from there they made sure I got it at a price that was right for me. They delivered on time and while installing it did a few extras. You can always call them for support. Not only did I get a great pool to enjoy, I made some great friends.

Although I have not had the pleasure of purchasing a pool or spa (🙁), I have to rate SwimKing a 5🌟. Each year, I look for donations for my sons Little League raffle basket fundraiser on opening day. I bought my pool last year. The prices they quoted were not the same as the bill. Everything is included. Didnt tell me there was an extra charge for electrician, who by the way left exposed wires and garbage in my yard. I had to have the company come back to repair their work several times. And oh by the way, you have to then pay for the cover when you close your pool. Another 500 bucks. Find someone else. How come every sterling review posted is 4 months ago? Suspicious?

Some of the best customer service I have experienced. I have been here a few times with family, and friends one memory particularly comes to mind from my child hood. I was only about 6 or 7 and unfortunately injured myself in the parking lot by getting my hand shut in a car door. Use immediately came to the rescue and put a smile on my face by showing me around the shop, giving me a cold rag, and making conversation. I asked a lot of questions, and for each question I got an answer. You guys are awesome. And that’s a memory I will never forget.

We purchased our 18’ round pool 3 1/2 years ago. Greg Galsderisi was our salesman. He sat with us for such a long time and educated us on what would best suit our family and really helped us make a well-informed and knowledgeable decision. Every time we come into the store ALL the employees know us by name and we know them and they treat everyone like family! They installed a new liner in my mother in laws pool two years ago. They were over a month late from the date they gave her to install. Liner immediately started to come off in corners and when she called it took them weeks to come look at the liner. When they finally came they told her to call in the spring and they would set a time to fix it. When she called they were rude and told her they didn’t want to do business with her and refused to fix there own bad work. I called them and couldn’t get anyone useful on the phone so I went to the store to talk to them and got an attitude and they still refused. I had another pool company come and look at the pool and came to find out that all there work was wrong! The liner is now failing in a large portion of the pool and has to be taken out and new one installed. She paid thousands of dollars for nothing ! If your smart you will steer clear of this company they are terrible, rude, and never kept there word with any of our dealings. I don’t know how a business operates with that kind of customer service. Thanks for taking myu mother in laws money for a completely failed job swim king!!

Wonderful place. I bought a sump pump online thinking it was for basement, but it was for a pool.My hose would not fit the adaptor that came with it so I called Swim King, they told me to come down and they took the time to make it work for me with a pool hose!Super professional and use lovely, helpful, friendly people who run this place.They really pulled me out of what could have been a big problem.

Left message for Steve Jr. the owner who I have dealt with in the past with no issues at all. He took over for his father who passed away.I cannot believe the treatment I received. I couldnt even explain in full what was needed. I was told we are not interested in job from someone who answers phone.I am quite saddened by this turn of events. The owner should have called me back and let me explain, and if they were not interested, he should of told me. The lack of respect for the customer is really bad now, Steve Sr. would never have let this happen on his watch, customers were always treated with integrity and respect. Dont know what happened!!! Horrible!!

Time and Time again these guys take time from their busy day to help customers on the phone and in person. They understand that often what may not seem like an emergency to others is an emergency to you. That’s when they step up big time. I read some of the other reviews.. if McDonald’s gives you the wrong order would you then bring it to a steakhouse to fix ??? I’ve seen first hand people call and have a pool issue. I understand trying to get the most out of your money but sometimes being penny wise is pound foolish. “I bought a liner from China online I need it installed tomorrow July 4th weekend “ then when they don’t get what they want they complain.

This is a long overdue review for everyone at Swim King! First of all from the moment you call everyone is so super friendly. I was referred to them by many, many of my clients so I felt totally 100% positive they were the right company to choose. We are first time homeowners so naturally we were nervous to not make the right choice on who to hire. Greg was amazing on coming all the way out to us in Fishkill, Dutchess County, and sitting with us to explain all of our options. We have a small yard and he chose the PERFECT size pool for it. We are also on a hill so they dug so it is kind of a half in ground, half above ground pool. We had it put in at the end of a pool season and finally just had it opened by Steve the other day. They took just one day to put it in and one day to open it! They are efficient, responsive, do great quality work, friendly, and easy to talk to and ask questions. Purchased our pool in 2008 and ever since the staff always make me feel at home while getting our pool water tested or while shopping for chemicals or supplies. The bi annual pool school is a great time to speak with other pool owners and be entered into a raffle to win pool stuff. One year I won a pool closing.

I had swim king install an above ground pool a couple of years ago. They were great to work with from sales to installation. They werent pushy and have always been there every time I have a question or issue. They are willing to provide advice without making a sale. Im most impressed with their recent service. I had a pretty new piece of pool equipment that was no longer under warranty, but should not have failed nonetheless. They swapped the equipment for me and said they would deal with the manufacturer about getting it covered under warranty. They really go above and beyond!

I had a serious endless pool water issue. the water got completely cloudy over two days for an unknown reason. Leslies has only cashiers. Thus, I drove more than one hour to Kingston where I was treated incredibly well by knowledgeable and friendly salesmen/pool experts. Three days after adding the chemicals recommended, my water is clearer than in the whole 9 years I had the pool! they are great! for Breaking Bad fans, these guys are the walter whites of pool chemistry! Their assistance saved my pool and my mental and physical health! thank you! I will make the trip again several times per year - will not risk my prized possession to anyone else.

After 3 years the pool started to lean. It was very difficult to get a hold of the right person. When you call you get someone who answers the phone who can not help you. They did end up eventually coming but they did not rebuild the pool like originally planned. They repositioned some of the panels. I thought they were experts with decks around pools because that is how they advertise. But now I have a gap to deal with. The deck was built around the pool a year later. So when they straightened out the pool, it created a big gap in one area. If they rebuilt the pool like originally planned this would not a be a problem. Also the lining is severely bunched up now in one area. I had told them the liner would have to be replaced but they chose not to rebuild the pool. I am at the exhaustion point of complaining. I am very sad that I payed 13,000 for an above ground pool that did not stand up to my expectations. I am very discouraged. I worked very hard to save money for a pool. I payed more money. Because I thought I would get better quality.

This business is the reason I got Goggle Account. So I can write a review. The first sign that these guys were unprofessional is that they said that they were going to put a liner in before the summer season. Every time I asked them they said that it would be a week later- ended up being a month and a half later. When liner was put in, Jets were not properly put in pushing water behind liner causing extensive damage. When called they hung up. Terrible business!!!!!

We purchased our pool from Swimking after researching the available companies from Albany to Kingston. They install the products themselves meaning they dont use a third party contractor and only use top quality products. The Guys are awesome ! I had an issue this summer with a three way valve malfunctioning (hubby put it on wrong) and Gary was able to diagnose the problem and talk me through fixing it with a couple of pictures and a phone call. We get all of our chemicals there as well. We tried a different company once because they were closer and we were out, this was a huge mistake! My son and I received chemical burns. Swimking only sells products they would use themselves and fully stand behind their products.I highly recommend this company for all of your pool needs.

Mega bucks spent opening the pool, one chemical after another and it never was resolved...got a second opinion and the problem was solved by the end of the day... Also bought a expensive piece of equipment and was having a problem...called and spoke to one of the owners and he talked to me like I was a idiot and proceeded to start an argument over the phone.... I have been a pool owner for over 25 years without using a pool service as I test my own water without problems....decided to have them do the test this year because of a chlorine issue. ..big mistake....stay away.. they are bad news

When we decided to purchase an above-ground pool last winter, I did a lot of research on the all-knowing internet...and learned a lot of what is advertised simply isnt real or true. I decided to buy local instead. This lead me to a couple of local pool companies. As I researched the quality of the pools each sold, I narrowed my decision to Swim King in Kingston. They literally spent hours with me explaining details and specifications of the pool and answering all of my questions - I called them A LOT!! Never, did they seem irritated - they always made time to talk to me. We were scheduled for installation at the end of June - and due to the nonstop rain this year - it was delayed by a week but in by the first week of July - pretty good. We were very pleased. The installation techs were knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining what to do.NOW HERE IS THE BEST PART:Four days after installation, our computerized pool management system died. Completely. Nothing. Now the pump is not running. Nothing.THIS IS WHERE SWIM KING PROVED BUYING LOCAL IS BEST!! They came out within 48 hours and replaced the system - NO CHARGE - without question. To me, this is worth the price of admission - ITS CALLED OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! You cant get that on the internet. I will return to them any time with no reservation. A local business, taking care of its customers - what more could I ask for? FIVE STARS!!

Swimking triples there price on parts when they install, sells hot tubs and then gives no reliable service, installed a control unit that has never worked right, wont work on a spa I bought from them because the pump wasnt from them at there inflated price.
