That would be 5 stars plus if option were available. I live near Boston.with great stores in my area. I cant even recall how I stumbled on this store; glad I did. No store stocks everything I might seek. This operation--2 store locations, warehouse, several online avenues (FB, live shows, Etsy), history/longevity of existence--means a deep and wide stock of so much. The metaphysical matters are not my interest, but Im confident that the owners and staff are knowledgeable. Prices are typical--which is to say that some outstanding deals are routinely available as well as some pricey samples, display pieces. The people that are retail driven are out there, but the people who are energized, enjoy the field and like speaking to others about it too...they are the joy. Kim and Todd are available, answer questions, work HARD...not just reselling from whole sellers but spending time rock hounding, cutting and polishing some of their own material. That alone is unique and translates into a shared passion with collectors. Genuine people, focused and knowledgeable on an area of expertise (not big box, stock everything deal)...human scale values.

I came to this store from out of state while visiting my grandparents in July. I was extremely disappointed in not only the lack of the employees knowledge and by the fact that multiple items were marked wrong but that when I got home I had been charged $2.50 EACH For tiny crinoid fossils that were listed as 2 for $0.25. I even took pictures of each item I purchased and e-mailed them to the owner proving that I was charged $10.00 instead of $1.00. The owner said they were sending me a refund via PayPal which it’s now almost November and I finally decided to give in and warn other people away. You’d be much better off spending your money at any other crystal store unless you’d like to be charged 20 times the listed price then go ahead and shop here.

Fun and exciting. Almost every mineral and gem, they have. Definitely better than buying them from pictures in real life they are amazing.

I’ve been buying from Earthlight for going on 10 years now. In that time, I’ve visited other store (both physically and online) and I can confidently say that Earthlight has the best and most accurate pricing for the size and quality you get. Kim and Rainey are the two I’ve most commonly interacted with, always having pleasant experiences with both. I send all of my friends and family here, even my friends out of state use them Etsy shop.

Just called this Kirkland location to inquire about availability of 3 specific stones for a gift. Staff who answered sounded like their name was “Rainey”. I’m really disappointed by their lack of customer service. Their tone was rude throughout the short call and couldn’t be bothered to look up the price of 3 items and said “look I have a line out the door and can’t look up prices for you”. They certainly made me feel like a bother for calling. This is the second poor customer service I’ve received at this location and hesitant to give them another try.

I was excited to find this place, but I found out that the clear quartz point I got was fake. Clear quartz is stronger than glass and would scratch glass if it was real but then one I got did not scratch glass. I was kind of disappointed in that so I would say just to be careful.

Fake products! Sure, the rocks look nice but the ones I got were fake, I took them to a jeweller and they told me my Amethyst was just smoky glass! Do not come here if you want real and NATURAL rocks!

Great shop to visit when either you yourself are looking for different rocks or fossils, or if youre looking for someone else, and they definitely have a great variety. Staff is knowledgeable and more than willing to help. Just be careful, everything is great here, and its easy to spend a lot (Theyre not overly pricey but its hard to only buy one or two things when visiting).

Bought two bracelets today, was told they were turquoise. Did a little of my own research. They are not genuine turquoise but rather a stone called “African turquoise” which is a type of jasper that is dyed to fool people into thinking its turquoise. Not actual turquoise. Not amused.

Contacted owner to find a good quality purple fluorite. She immediately responded and sent pics when asked, and the crystal I got was well worth the price. Ive also visited the store in person on a few occasions - incredibly well stocked and the owners are extremely friendly!

Very small space, but jam packed with awesome stuff! They have such an array of items and materials, I was so impressed! They had stuff Ive never even heard of before!Prices were fair as well. Im sure you can find some stuff online for cheaper, but you dont get to see it really or hold it before hand, which I know is important to a lot of people. This place has a little bit of everything. Its my favorite place to go, and only place I will buy my rocks from now on. I recently purchased a beautiful amethyst bracelet, and little amethyst frog carving. This place has something for everyone who likes any kind of rock or gem, semi-precious or otherwise.

You have to pay for parking if you park near the shop, its a really small store and very crowded. It doesnt make shopping pleasant but the store attendant is very friendly and entertaining. Shes very knowledgeable and the experience isnt bad; its just not a store to have more than 12 people in.

I purchased a few things almost a month ago and couldnt remember the names of the stones.... I called just now and spoke with Kim...she was so very courteous and responsive in helping to know the names of the stones I bought based only on colors and where in the store I picked them out...yes just over the phone! Hence the five stars... absolutely great customer service and its a lovely boutique to boot!

I went into this store looking for a few hard to find minerals and fossils and found them. They have a wonderful selection, a bit cramped, but I love it there I highly recommend this place to all rock hounds, or anyone interested in very nice specimens of minerals and fossils. I give this place a five star because the staff or actually I should say the owners are highly knowledgeable about their selection and other questions you might have. They also can help identify finds of your own. Great place I will be back many times!

Earthlight is an amazing little shop, and the only place I will buy my gems and crystals anymore. The owner Kim and the rest of the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Kim has never been unable to answer any questions Ive had. On top of that Kim travels all over the world to buy directly from the source which makes for an amazing selection and honest prices. See something that you like but unable to purchase today? No need to worry, they are more than happy to put it on hold for you for as long as you would like with no deposit required. The people at Earthlight Gems are always very helpful and accommodating.I have dealt with them over 25 years and they also have an astonishing amount of crystals in such a small place.Their crystals always seem clean as well.

I came to the brand-new shop in Snoqualmie just today at its grand opening (11/28/19), and I LOVED the selection, price, and quality of the minerals. The owners (Kim and Todd, they own this Earthlight shop in Kirkland too) told me that other rock shops mark up their products and only lower the price during sales, but this shop keeps it at a low price 24/7. I ended up buying several awesome rocks, such as kyanite, monazite, ruby, malachite, topaz, tourmaline, fluorite, different beryls, and more. If youre looking for large specimens, there are huge ones here! If youre looking for something unique, there are really rare ones here! If youre looking for something inexpensive, theres plenty to choose from! Up and down the shelves are an intense variety of rocks and minerals, from bismuth to vanadinite to cinnabar to opal. Huge selection of nothing but crystals gems and minerals. I would never think a small store like this could pack such a huge selection. This is by far my favorite crystal shop. And the staff is helpful and knowlagable.

Went in there not knowing anything about rocks and the powers they have. came out very satisfied and will go back for more as needed. highly recommend this place.

Beware return/refunds not accepted. I had purchased 2 jewelry pendents for my mothers birthday, after finding her a different present I decided to come back the very next day with my receipt for a refund. The lady proceeded to tell me they do not accept returns...only store credit. I was visiting from out of state and told her I had no idea when I would be back and that I had no use for store credit. She then told me they have an online store...when I asked her if they accepted the gift card online she said NO.....she made no acceptation or accommodation for me and my situation of living out of state. So now Im out $90...Very poor customer service. They need to inform their customers of this policy before they buy anything.

This is the only affordable mineral spot in Washington. Owners and their super cute dog are really amazing folks. She really knows her stuff! This is the only place I buy crystals regularly.

Best local gem shop with high quality products. I go for one or two items and walk out with tons of new goodies. There are so many irresistible items including harder to find crystals, meteorite odds and ends, fossils, and lovely beads. Great shop for collectors, practitioners, jewelry creaters, etc. Id guess just about anyone could find something to catch their eye. Also, they have both polished and raw, a huge plus in my book.Overall, my favorite local shop with new items each time I visit (which is often). A must for those interested in gems, crystals, fossils, and other similair items.
