They have great prices on everything in the world. The pickup staff work really hard and are quick to get you your goods. They have a clean store, and offer new sealed cloth masks if you need one. Thank you, Walmart and employees!

Its Walmart but nice and clean. I understand Kodiak is an island but there are virtually no veggies available. They can be gotten because other stores on the island have great selections if them.

Lets be honest, its Walmart. Theyve got what you need. Now maybe not what you want. Pretty clean store and its reasonably well stocked considering the Kodiak shipping constraints / timelines. However, if shopping online, that whole free shipping to store thing - doesnt exist for this location. So they lose a star for this. I feel that if Im ordering something they carry on a normal basis, the shipping to store should be free even if that means I wait two weeks for it. Friendly and helpful staff and theyve got what you need.

I was disappointed when I got to the register, there were absolutely no bags to put my groceries in. One of the ladies came over to see that I was scanning my items and then walked away ! I would have been ok with the fact of no bags had there been a sign or something, or even the option of buying one.. I understand covid and all but if you want customers, at least have bags to your items in.... All the other stores do !

Okay place but, milk was a couple days from expiring, Safeway has better food choices and prices. They dont sell beer. Had a hard time understanding the English of a couple employees. I was hurried by a cashier rudely which was not awesome. If you go for anything that may expire like ice cream, etc. check the dates.

This store is like a super center but in neighborhood size .. ppl here is very friendly... can y’all add and extra row or 2 of this item with the scanner gun, every time I go there I buy them all and leave one at the end cuz it gets stuck 😶

It’s Walmart, not a super store but has some fresh food items and a adequate selection of bulk dry/can goods, clothing and electronics, household goods, garden and pharmacy. The check out staff and ladies in customer service are always pleasant, the manager in sporting goods was very helpful, and those stocking and working in the isles, in my experience, are either very helpful or rude and useless, no middle ground. There is a subway just inside the entrance and just past it a small souvenir section watched over by a large stuffed bear. The shuttle stops here and the dmv shares the large parking lot. There are no power plugs for RVs, winters just aren’t cold enough.

The staff is nice and the stock is what you would expect to see at Walmart.

Friendly workers and a clean environment! I am a fan of having subway right there, could 100% recomend the chicken bacon ranch combo there!! Just only had frozen variety of meats and vegetables. Not a huge problem just heading over to safeway after for those things. Otherwise had it all for probably the cheapest on the island!

I will post a 3 star rating as I have worked retail since I was young. I am disappointed with the lack of knowledge the floor people have for their departments. They are curteous and friendly but lack or are ignorant to what it takes to sell items in the department they are assigned. Walmart is a chain/franchise but as Ive noticed with all franchise there is an Incredible amount of ignorance with customer relation and sales abilty. Overall our local walmart is Okay and I shop there for price and convenience not for the public relations.

Good staff, wish their price labeling was more accurate bought a bike that was labeled for 67 dollars and in realty it was 113. They did not fix it either. Other than that though have had few issues.

For the past two days we have gone here and they have gone through our bags to make sure we weren’t taking anything even know she stood there and watched us scan it all if this happens again we will return everything and go shop on the base where they have respect for the people shopping and when you ask them to see if something in stalk or something they don’t even check they just say no these people at this Walmart are the most disrespectful people.

For a small Alaskan town, its nice to have around for convenience day to day.

Yo, this Walmart has a bear! Where else would you find a Walmart with a bear??The Walmart here is small compared to others you might find in the country, and theres a price spike since Kodiak is a pretty bush area. The items are actually pretty randomly placed throughout the store, so its tricky to find them. But you know, its still a Walmart, and much better than not having a Walmart.

Bought a rifle from Nick the manager. Awesome experience. The very next day looking to get a holster, they just announced closing in 15 and one of the female employees told me to leave. That one good experience turns into cr*p.

You have to give these guys a 5 star. The people who work there are outstanding. For being on a isolated island this Walmart has a selection next to none. I find items and prices cheaper than the lower 48 states .

I asked about an item that was on sale online but marked differently in the store and instead of opening the locked electronic case to scan the price I was told to just buy it online and come back later in the day to pick it up.

I can always count on them to get me a bag of flaming hot cheetos and a mountain dew.Good customer service (but they arent trying their hardest) although they have good household items and snacks. They also have movies and bean bag chairs.

This seems to be the perfect place to banish a rapper to and hold him hostage. All the bear repellent one might need as well. Not bad at all for being on Kodiak island.

They put choke points at the entrances during a pandemic, when were supposed to all be 6ft apart... I shouldnt have to tell you more..

A HUGE lack in customer service as well as communication skills as the cashiers show a disconcern in understanding any kind of questions. There are 9 check out lanes. No matter what time of day I have never seen more than 4 being used while lines of people stand by idle looking either distressed or numb with excepting this as the usual norm.

They cant communicate properly to to things the best way!

Its really small and theres never any food on Mondays which is the best day for me to shop... But its better than nothing I guess. The prices are usually cheaper than other options for the stuff that they do have...

I wish I could go into negative stars. Every time I have gone to this walmart, it is nearly impossible to find an employee. And when i do another employee must be paged to that department. Supervisors are as lost in their job duties as the other employees. I must wait 10-15 minutes just for help. Then to have the issue discussed in front of me in Tagalog, is rude.

Its ridiculous that people gave this Walmart 5 stars because of Pitbull, review the service not the rapper.- Reasons for 1 Star Rating -1: I have better luck finding what Im looking for than asking a store clerk.2: I called to see if they can find me the cheapest toddler bed they have and the lady told me quote Im sorry but the store manager is on lunch. Me. Um, are you a store clerk? Her. Yes. Me. So can you help me? Her. Um can I take your number and have someone go look for it for you. Me. You know what, forget it alright Ill check my damn self when I get into town.3. Seriously need managers to practice better work practices... It doesnt help if the Manager is the only one trying to help you find things. Those employees were hired as Store Clerks and need to act as such!

Just the worst retail establishment in the world unfortunately its the basically the only retailer in the island. So if your looking for sub par items at an unreasonable price this is the place for you. Unless I need something immediately, and they will probably wont have what I need, Ill be sticking with Amazon or having a family member mail it to me in a flat rate box Ill trust them and the USPS any day over Walmart there terrible selection unfair prices and awful customer service. I hope management see this and makes changes but we all know that wont happen.
