Sold me a new airplane had a junk battery and a bent tail. Will never go back. I am online ordering because they will take good batteries out of the box and sell you old puffed up li pros. They have no class at all

I traveled 2 hours to this shop because their photos showed to have tons of older model train inventory that is typically inexpensive. I entered then greeted one of the owners and he seemed friendly enough. I was impressed by the inventory, but I noticed nothing had prices. I finally found an old kit I needed and asked for a price. He said he didnt know the price, which seemed suspicious since both he and the inventory appeared to have been there since the 1990s. He then went to a computer terminal that looked like a 1980s library card catalog and dug around for several minutes. Meanwhile, I googled the price to discover it sells for $10-12. He looked like he drifted off into space so I went back to browsing. Several minutes later he chimes in and says its $27.99!? I asked how he came up with that price. He said he took the items Msrp and multiplied it by 25 years worth ofinflation. Exuse me? Who uses that method for pricing? No wonder why they are still sitting on such old inventory. I bit my tongue to not start an argument and promptly left without purchase.

Lost the charger for my drone and stopped by this place to buy a replacement and it was very expensive! Had I waited two days I could have gotten the same one off of Amazon for a third of what I paid here. Probably will not stop here again.

I really love their customer service and theyre really nice and knowledgeable.I had to get my motor replaced on my slash and they gave me tips on how to treat it and make it last longer. And tips to get my old motor to work again.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Very disappointed. I spent lots of money in this store from March to June 2021. Being new to the hobby this year I thought I had found a great store with good overall selection. I was wrong.Never understood why nothing in the store has a pice unless its used. If you ask, the GM will tell you its because they (RC Manufacturers) are always running specials and he wants to get you the best price. (WRONG)My experience: Purchased E-Revo 2.0 in March 2021. Motor fails 9 weeks later. Well known and publicized issue in Internet RC groups. I send my motor and speed control to TRAXXAS through Tobin K & K. About 10 days later GM calls and says he has a motor and ESC which I go in to pick up the next day. GM tries to charge me half price suggesting TRAXXAS did not warranty the motor. I had to explain to the GM that the ESC I brought in was not broken to start with and that I wanted to request a review by TRAXXAS because everyone on line seemed to be getting their motors replaced for free by TRAXXAS. Then the GM asks if he pays half, would I be OK with that? I ended up payinfor the motor and listened to him as he tells me “No Charge” for the speed control which was mine to begin with. I ended up paying $35 for the motor, $25 for a motor fan the GM suggested and $19 for a little 1:24 scale body. $84 trip.Being very frustrated already, I go home and do a little research starting with TRAXXAS customer support. After telling of my experience the customer support agent asks me the name of the store and tells me I need to go back to the store and have the GM check his invoice for the motor and speed control again. Really? So this tells me that TRAXXAS honored the warrantee repair and my LHS basically stole my motor and sold it back to me for $35 after I refused to pay $70. The Traxxas customer support tech also told me I can always deal direct with TRAXXAS and they will ALWAYS DO THE RIGHT THING. Really? WOW Tobin K & K!?!?!?After my conversation with TRAXXAS I decided to look up pricing on the two additional items I picked up during this visit. I found out Tolin K & K charge me $25 for a motor fan that is easily available for $9 and $19 for a 1:24 scale body that’s easily available for $5 in the internet.Moral of the story: I walk out of Tolin K&K hobby having paid $84 for what I should have paid $15 for. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Price gouging at its best. And this is how they treat a “GOLD CLUB’ member. Not another penny of my money to Tolin K & K!MJ. Ca’they

Money hungry they will literally charge you for everything i’m not talking about just parts and gas I’m talking about even if you come up and say hey I need help fixing my machine I don’t really understand it they do not care they will charge you every nickel and dime they can get go somewhere else pre-warning you

Extremely extremely extremely over priced, cheats anyone who doesn’t know the prices. Don’t have prices on anything and don’t give a price at all and doesn’t give a total until u pay. I paid 50.00 for something that would be 8.00 online. Will never go back, horrible and horrible customer service. Would buy a new car for what I would give him for 50.00 in parts. Horrible, hope he goes out of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If youre looking to spend much money, do ALOT of research and know EVERYTHING about what youre buying, or you will end up spending doing WAAAAAYYYYYY more money than you should. I made the mistake of going in to check prices, since Ive been away from RC cars for many years, and I ended up spending over $700 for the exact setup I can find online for $300-400. It was my screw up and impulse buy, but businesses should not take advantage of so done who dont know the current market!

Very good local hobby shop with a lot of knowledge and many hard to find rcs plans, trains, and surface vehicles a real hidden gem right here in Kokomo.

I took my sons RC car battery and charger because it wouldn’t charge. After selling me a battery I asked for my old one back, and he said that he couldn’t give it back to me, he said there would be a core charge of $10 if he did. Core charge for an RC battery? Seemed a little flaky. Even if that is what usually happens, the customer should be aware of that before the sale. Whenever I purchase anything that involves a core fee it is listed and or the seller informs me.

Just bought a nitro RC and the clutch doesnt work. Had it an hour. Said we can bring it in and they will charge us to fix it. When asked for corporate they laughed on the phone at me. When asking for the repair to be fixed since we drove from Lafayette for this Nitro, he said maybe they could fix it. Wont be going back! Would not reccommend!

Wonderful selection, but nothing has a price on it because if you compare their prices to Horizon Hobby’s they are pricing their stock WAY above MSRP. In the United States there is a name for this... it’s called price gouging. Just because you have a monopoly on an area does not give you the conscientious rite to charge whatever you choose. I just moved down here from Alaska. We have one Hobby store in Anchorage and Anchorage House of Hobbies charges exactly what Horizon, or any other suppliers charge and House of Hobbies doesn’t change their price based upon shipping cost. I am moving back to the Last Frontier the first opportunity that I get. I’m starting to believe that this state has mercury in the water supply. Mad Hatters disease is real and the proof is overwhelming.

The best place in kokomo. They are the nicest people ever and the most knowledgeable about hobby products. I would never go anywhere else. There prices are the lowest and they have the best selection. I love this store and the people who work there!!!

Browsed around here with my grandson a few months ago and was surprised by how many items they have. They have more remote control items than Ive ever seen in one place before. Certainly a hobby enthusiasts store.

Im just making the plunge into RC (buggy/truggy in particular), and am also fairly new to the town. Ive been in the store a few times with nothing more than curiosity and questions, and the whole staff always seemed more than happy to entertain all of my questions. Its been a pleasure to deal with them, and continue to do so further. Not only do they have a pretty kick a** store, they are knowledgeable and obviously passionate about all things related to hobby/scale RC. They take great care of their customers as well. Being the Certified Warranty Repair Center they are, if you have a problem with a vehicle you bought from them, you deal with them for your repairs. Certainly a well run establishment with a great staff. Two thumbs up!

First of all, let me start by saying that Im happy that there is at least one shop in Kokomo where a guy can get R/C supplies.That said... if youre the only dealer around, well you kind of have a monopoly dont you?I went in to get a specific item.There were hardly any prices on the merchandise. They had the item in stock but charged me twice the price that the company they got it from charges at retail (>100% mark-up). Also... they wanted to charge another 1 1/2% if I used a credit card. It was an item Horizon Hobby sells for $6 online. They sold it for $12 and then wanted another 18 cents if I used a card to pay! What? If it was close to the $6 Horizon sells it for then I wouldnt have gotten the credit card out in the first place but after marking it up more than 100% he would worry about charging another 18 cents?If you absolutely need it now and they have it then go see them but if youre looking to make a sizable purchase you might want to check elsewhere and compare prices.

No prices marked on anything. Highly inflated prices when you ask for a price. Poor service all around from the Train Guy. My 13 year old daughter is a huge train fan and she couldnt get the time of day from their train expert. The worst person to ask a question.Dont ask for a price on items. you will get an answer similar to this. yeah those are ABOUT blah blah blah. No firm pricing. It all depends on what you are willing to pay.If your not there to buy, dont waste your time asking questions about what you want to buy.You will only get a sales pitch for a completely different product.No internet price matching.Lots of very overpriced USED nitro r/c gear.Tons of dusty boxes with sun faded graphics.A bad scene all together.

Best shop i have been to so far, they also try to beat online rc product prices, if you find a good deal print it out and they will sell the product at the same price or a few dollars higher.

They have great customer service and they get repairs done quick and done well!!!!!!(Definitely recommend!!!!!!!)

Very poor customer service. Over priced. I put $250 down on a layaway for a Chroma Blade pirce of $ 10999 they would not honor the price drop of $ 599, even after they received a credit for the drop in price from Horizon Hobby. Would only give me a store credit of $15 on the $ 250 I paid.
