Bryan at Hometown automotive did a great job working on my 1965 Mustang. He was able to take care of some wiring issues that caused my horn not to work. The work was done relatively quickly after having to way a few days to parts since it is an older car. GG at the front desk was very polite and personable. I knew I found the right place with a couple of old mustangs and older cars parked outside.

Moving into the area and decided to try this shop. Friendly and honest about what was needed and what could wait. Very convenient for both home and office for me so an added bonus. Talk to Mark !

They fixed my driver side axle bearing and 2 parking brakes for an 05 Niss Titan with 250 k miles on it. Mark is very accommodating. Drove across town to see them. My first time. Very reasonable rate with Vet discount. Would recommend to anyone.Found out later that my ABS sensor wire was nipped. I guess the bill was not enough. Downgraded to 1 star.

Hometown Kyle mechanic shop was overall a good service. They promptly diagnosed my engine issues, gave me options for them, and conducted business efficiently and professionally. Prices were fair and I’m glad to have a place to take my truck locally. The only thing I would request would be maybe a loaner vehicle. A Ford raptor maybe. ...? Jk nobody in there right mind would intentionally drive a Ford right ? Thanks again. Will recommend to others

I’m amazed at how good my car runs now. It was brought in because my engine was misfiring. They were able to diagnose it quickly and my car is running better than it has in years!

I recently moved to Kyle and passed this shop several times. When I needed some engine diagnostics on noise, these guys were great! They also performed a fuel injection cleaning and oil change. VERY reasonable price and my 2008 Silverado now runs smooth and like new! I highly recommend these guys.

New to Kyle Texas (2 yrs) and having such a great shop near by is very convenient. The service and turn around time for a basic oil change couldnt be easier. Ive been here a few times and its always a pleasure doing business with someone who truly takes care of their customers.

Dropped off my car 4/16/21 because it stopped working received a text today (4/21/21) that they “diagnosed a mechanical issue that will need more investigation”. Duh! What do you think I dropped it off for? They also said the car wouldn’t be ready until next week. So basically, they are saying that they haven’t done anything to my car and it’s been sitting there since Friday?!? When I called last week they said it would be ready by Tuesday or they would at the very least be able to tell me what is wrong with it and how long it would take to fix, but no.Some people can’t afford rental cars and need to get to work! As a first time customer this is not the way to keep my business. If you can’t get something fixed in a timely manner be upfront about it. I will be towing my car to another location. Let’s see if they try to charge me to have done nothing to my car for days.. Would not recommend.If I knew how to delete my review I would but I can’t seem to figure it out so I have decided to update it and am now giving this business four stars. They made sure we were able to get the car towed to another location and were very profession and helpful. I can also respect how they chose to respond to my online review.Sometimes the universe works it ways we don’t understand and in ways we don’t know we need and that was definitely the case here. We towed the car to Toyota and found out that the issue would cost 3 grand to fix and luckily was under warranty. Toyota is the last place I would have considered taking my car because it’s so expensive but in my rush to get my car running again it was the last stop. So in a way, hometown automotive saved me 3 grand! Thank you Hometown Automotive!

They replaced the water pump for my daughters car. She’s attending school which is close to their shop. They quoted me a fair price & finished the job on time. Great to know that I can rely on them even though I’m about 1hr away. I was able make payment online & use their key drop box, which made it very convenient for my daughter’s schedule. I went up there twice to get my lift kit done after booking two different times and they had an excuse both time on why they couldnt do it. I confirmed both appointments and drove up there. They could have called and let me know ahead of time. I will never use them for anything.

My pickup broke down and I was in the side of the road on a hot July day. Called Hometown Auto- they had a tow truck hooking me up w/in 20 minutes (yes, 20 minutes, and for a great price) and immediately got to work on my truck when I arrived at their shop. They fixed the problem and had me back on the road the same day. Amazing customer service. Was my first time using them and I’ll be a customer for life. Excellent experience.

Mark and Team are fantastic folks. Hard to find an honest and affordable automotive shop that handles mechanic duties as well as paint and body repairs. However, Hometown Automotive is just that, very honest and very affordable. I’ve had my vehicles repaired here several times but this last visit I needed some minor body work repair for a nasty door ding on a 2018 Accord. Mark examined the damage and quoted me a price that was less than others I had received. The work was completed quickly and to 100% satisfaction. I fully recommend Hometown Automotive and will continue to use them for my automotive repairs.

We had gotten multiple quotes for numerous things that needed to be done on our vehicles and they not only came in with fair quotes but threw in free oil changes and always do a thorough inspection on the car during your visit. You cannot go wrong at all with this shop.

Usually do an oil change myself but my work truck recently needed a change and I didn’t have time. Everyone was professional and the whole process so fast, easy, and cost about the same if I were to do it myself. My company is now going to take all our work trucks in here and I know I’ll take my personal vehicles here also when the time comes. Highly recommend this company!

This is a family business that is honest, competant, and fairly priced. I greatly appreciated the non-contact drop off and pickup during this time of COVID19. This was my first time to this shop and I cant say enough good things about these folks. Example: I made the assumption that my brakes were due to be replaced based on my vehicles mileage, so when I dropped it off I left a note asking the work be done (in addition to an A/C repair). Mark called and said they did a thorough inspection and said no brake work was needed for quite some time to come! Even tested the brake fluid to make sure it was OK too! The A/C repair came out great, with quality parts used (I checked) and I think it is actually working better now than when the vehicle was new. Also, they have experience with older cars and trucks too. Check out the collection of 60s and 70s vehicles at the shop when you visit!

I brought my CR-V here because the emergency brakes were not working. They did great and quick work on my car and Im highly satisfied.Note: before coming here I tried to get my emergency brake fixed at Honda twice. Not only they didnt fix it but made it worse. Im grateful that the folks here actually took the wheels off and properly diagnosed the problem to offer the right solution the first time. Two thumbs up 👍👍. Highly recommend.

Mark with HomeTown Automotive was a huge help today! The AC went out in my truck, called them this morning, he said bring it over. I didnt have a ride, so they brought me home and picked me up about 2 hrs later. Whole experience = 5 stars.He also has a cool vintage collection, if you have never seen it before.

Really impressed with this place!I was headed to a shop on the east side of 35 for brakes, an oil change, and turn signal issues on my husbands truck. I passed by Hometown Automotive (we live down the road) and decided to stop there instead based on the location and the reviews.They had a bay open and got us in right away. They got the oil change and all 4 brake pads with front rotors done in just a couple hours, cleaned off the battery terminals, replaced a turn signal bulb, aired up the tires, and got us out the door for an amazing price! They even came to pick my daughter and I up when it was done. Honest shop that wont try to sell you a bunch of stuff you dont need just to make money. We will definitely be back!!! THANK YOU!!!

I came to this automotive shop for a few reasons including spark plugs, oil change, air conditioning, and lastly fuel additives. I was very happy with the great price they had given me and the how welcoming I had felt at their shop. Everyone was super nice and for such a great price, I’d highly recommend!

I brought my F250 Diesel in for a steering issue. Little did I know there was more. Mark and Sayward (Hope I slept that right) got down to it and fixed so much more.
