Save your money and go someplace else.I went to buy their Lowe FM 1775 SC and working with the sales person we pretty much had it written up.We had a agreement that I would come in with the down payment and that day (a friday) my salesman was off work so I talked to another salesman and he agreed that I would come in on Monday and pay the down payment,Call that morning said I would be there right after lunch and he said great we will see you then,Called after lunch and told him I am on my way and he would meet me at the door,I get there at 1pm and met him at the door and he greats me and says sorry your boat is sold??They all knew I was coming with a down payment and if they absolutely needed full payment I easily could have but was waiting for a week for personal reasons but I had the money on hand if a full payment was needed,The pulled the boat out from under me and would not deal on another boat at all as i was willing to go to a different boat.I would not go back even if Lowe sent them another boat and I would not even go back to buy a fuel filter! After many calls to dealers I found another FM 1775 SC and they are willing to undercut Powerhouse after they wrote up and sold the boat i was hoping to buy,.Under handed sales and not a care about customer service,I have to travel a long way and make a weekend trip but I am still getting the boat I thought I was buying,I did like my sales person and hope he gets a job at another dealership because he is far to good of a salesman to be working for such a under handed company.

As a newbie into the world of boating, being asked “do you even know what you’re talking about?” when interested in purchasing a used motor tells me they were uninterested in helping me find what I was looking for. Save yourself hassle, and talk to someone from Holmen Marine. Genuine people willing to help you understand what you need and explain it in a way that they Don’t make you feel stupid.

We hit a log on the river at the end of June and sustained significant damage to the outdrive and tilt and trim. The water pump was also not working correctly. We decided to have the boat fixed at a nearby marina in Lacrosse. Powerhouse Marine seemed to have fairly good reviews. Our insurance agreed to cover the price of a rebuilt outdrive and tilt/trim. We knew boat parts had been hard to find this summer and expected this to take at least a few weeks after they okd us to drop it off. The mechanic told us he would call when the boat was ready. After 1 month, we called Joe and were told they wouldnt order the part until we paid for it upfront even though our insurance told them full repairs would be covered. None of this information was relayed to us. No apologies or acknowledgement of poor communication....blamed our insurance company The marina required payment for full cost (>$11000!) of the repair before the work was even started. After 7 weeks, we finally got our boat back and it didnt work..... dead in the water with a boat full of friends. Water pump repair was not done correctly and the entire part had to be replaced. They also forgot to replace the tilt/trim. Joe told the part had arrived the Thursday prior to Labor Day and they were working on it and should be ready end of the day that Friday. We took off work early and headed towards Lacrosse (2+ hour trip) for pick up. He knew we were on our way. The place was locked up when we arrived at 4:45 p.m. (closing time 5 p.m.) and no answer to our phone calls. We decided to wait and see how long it would take them to call and explain what happened. After 1 week, we called them and were told they didnt even have the part in their shop until late Friday?! We were told never assume any repair will be done on time. They had still not started the repair. The boat was finally ready for pick up again 11 weeks after our initial contact with this marina. The boat alarm went off again after 10 minutes on the water. We now have it at a reputable dealer but our boating season is over. No apologies for poor/dishonest communication, poor workmanship and horrible customer service. STAY AWAY from this marina at all cost.

What you can expect when you purchase a brand new boat from their showroom floor1 - Your boat will be ready when they get around to it.2 - The motor wont be installed correctly. Expect them to chip off paint when they put it back on.3 - The prop wont be the recommended one for the boat.4 - Dont pay them the $75 to title your boat as they will forget to do it and will lie to you about sending in the title to the state. Its a 2 minute online application for half the cost.5 - If you have questions / concerns dont bother to ask Bill as you are wasting your time. By far the worst service in La Crosse hands down.

We took our boat to PowerHouse Marine to have a new trolling motor installed. Installation of the motor was fine. After we picked the boat, we realized the transom saver was missing. Upon calling Powerhouse, there was no answer. A second call was answered by the Sales Department, they tried to transfer to Repair Dept. with again no answer. We left a message in regards to the missing transom saver and never received a call back. My husband stopped into Powerhouse to ask about the missing transom saver and he was told they didn’t have it. They were going to order a new one to replace it until an older man came out and was complaining that we should “call when we find it at home”, “it probably fell off when it was brought in”, “We took it off prior to bringing it in”…my husband was extremely upset at such unprofessional service and left without getting a new one ordered. We KNOW the transom saver was ON the boat when it was dropped off. It couldn’t have fallen off as it was bungeed to the boat. The customer service and lack of communication was some of the worst my husband has ever experienced. A couple other issues post repair work were holes left in the boat after removing the old trolling motor bracket. Two holes had been filled, while two were left unfilled. The nameplate “Four Winns” on the side of the boat was also broken. We will NEVER use this business again due to such unprofessionalism and lack of customer service.

I am not from La Crosse, but was in the area for a fishing tournament. My boat trolling motor failed. I went to Powerhouse Marine and I asked for some help. With no appointment, the young customer service man went out to look at my boat and told me well fix this. Pulled a technician off another job and had me up and going in 30 minutes. Powerhouse Marine kept me in the tournament. Thanks Joe for the excellent service, as it was very much appreciated.

We brought the lower unit of our Yamaha outboard motor to Powerhouse Marine last winter. We left the unit AND a water pump repair kit with staff. It took them 5 weeks longer than they promised to make the repair. And, they said they had no recollection that we supplied the water pump repair kit and charged $50.49 for it. We are very disappointed they would not subtract the cost of the water pump repair kit from the final bill. Something is wrong when a customer can not feel confident that the business will document items supplied by the customer. Powerhouse Marine needs to make repairs in a more timely fashion, change their intake paperwork, and supply the customer with a copy of the estimate noting any parts supplied by the customer. Boaters beware.

This is probably one of the worst places to take your boat. Brought my boat in with a starting/ low idle problem. They called me back saying that they seized up the motor and still charged me for it. $600 later I got my boat back torn apart. They didnt even put it back together. So I recently put it back together and it turns over just fine like it did when I brought it in. Why lie and saying the motor is done for if you cant fix it??? I would not recommend anyone to take anything there!!!
