Ive been here twice so far and each time has been a great experience. The staff are helpful and the optometrist does a great job of making conversation during the exam. Ive bought 3 pairs of glasses from here and every pair had been just about perfect with improvements to the thinness and clarity each time.

My initial experience was great. The employee was nice and super helpfully. This is my time getting glasses. So I had no idea what I was doing and she walked me through it. They even had there but on get one free going on (which you need cause the glasses aren’t cheap). The reason my review is a 3 instead of a 5 is they messed up my pair of sunglasses. I have a low prescription so I asked for the sunglasses to not be prescription. (I don’t need glasses when I drive) but they messed it up. When I brought it up at my fitting they told me there was nothing they could do.

We just picked up our glasses and are very happy with them - happy with the price, happy with the selection and happy with the quality so far. Had my eye pressure and vision checked after a workplace incident. Was able to get in immediately working with James. He explained everything clearly about what he was going to do, completed the testing and explained what the results were. Also was helped with purchasing a prescription set of sunglasses from James and another employee. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had about choosing my frames and lenses. Best glasses I have ever owned and plan on going back whenever I need anything vision related. Highly recommended!

Visionworks is such a fun place to be! We try to make every shopping experience with us entertaining but still information packed! I absolutely love working here and couldnt ask for a better work environment. If youre looking for a high quality glasses or contacts and love good customer service this is definitely the place you need to shop at.

I had an awesome experience. Ive never had glasses before and I havent had an exam in over ten years. The doctor was through and fast. When I picked out my frames, the associates were more than helpful and truthful when I asked which pairs look better. Id come back again!

Although there was an associate free, I was told to look through the frames on my own and was offered no assistance to find them. Its nice not to be pressured but since I need bifocals, there are size limits on the frames that will accommodate those lenses. I had to ask several times if frames that I was interested in were large enough. Cheryl was very helpful, however, once I found the frames I wanted. The price wasnt bad, but I think I would look at other options when I need glasses again.

OK, everyone needs to calm down, you get what you pay for with this place, cheaper glasses than Pearl Vision, but work just fine. Also usually have a 2-fer special going so you can get a couple frames for style and save money. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, although busy of course since they are at the mall with a lot of foot traffic. All in all, good experience, Id recommend to parents shopping for their kids or hipsters looking to expand their look.

Im so glad to find happy, friendly employees!! I quit going to Visionworks a little over a year ago because this particular store felt like visiting death row - I DREADED going in there because the employees were so clearly unhappy. But the new manager, James, has turned the store around completely! My appointment today was actually a delight - and FAST! Happier employees and a few tweaks in the way they process insurance got me in and out in HALF the time it used to take. Dr. Buckely was also very friendly and incredibly helpful. Ill actually keep my prescription up to date now that I dont have to dread going in there anymore!

Terrible. Understaffed employees who were visibly unhappy. One employee was on the phone right next to me talking to a customer on the phone and you could tell she was annoyed with the customers questions, and indicated so after she hung up. 30 minutes late for my appointment and no one seemed to know what they were doing. Nobody seemed to know exactly the services provided, nor how NVA Insurance works. My insurance covers an annual eye exam, but I guess if you wear contacts, thats a $68 upcharge from Visionworks that insurance wont cover. I will quite literally, never go back there again. Horrible experience.

I’ve had a few pleasant experiences at this store but the negative ones seem to happen far more often. Almost every time I try to schedule an eye exam during their promotion period, there is never an optometrist available (as in they are not working, compared to being fully booked) for us to take advantage of the sale. A few years ago, they didn’t even have an optometrist for months! What’s the point of offering a deal to your loyal customers if you don’t plan to make the promotion attainable? (And how can you run this type of business without a steady optometrist??) Quality service is very hit or miss here.

Bought our first (and last) glasses there, mid-priced frames, in March. Now the frames are coming apart along the browline. Salesperson told me today, Oh, thats normal; my own glasses are doing that. Good frames can last for years. These didnt make it 4 months.

Would give 0 stars if that was on option. Asked the manager Angelica to call me last week on Friday and I was promised a call on Monday. Just heard from her today (Tuesday afternoon) and had to request a call back with an actual solution. I was told that the lab had lost my frames and the manager wasnt taking any responsibility saying I only had 2 options to come get a brand new frame (after I had searched for a good hour) or get a refund and not recieve any glasses. Manager was very rude and claimed that they had to way to contact the lab. Asked to speak to a higher up manher still waiting on a response.

Thought Visionworks in the Valley View Mall in La Crosse Wisconsin should know how very disappointed I was with the service this evening when my wife and I came to pick up her two pairs of eye glasses. Having ordered two separate and different pairs of glasses with different frames, then receiving two of the same glasses was bad enough. But then not locating the frames for the second pair of glasses that she selected for the purchase with no explanation where they could be made our overall purchase the worse experience of all. Mistakes happen but not fixing them and not getting to the bottom of where the second frames and making it right was simply wrong. My wife had to settle for a less desirable pair of frames. I must consider doing business elsewhere in the future for our optical needs.

I absolutely adore the staff at Visionworks of La Crosse/Onalaska. They are diligent, knowledgeable, and professional. I have been visiting the store for years and I am continually impressed with their service. The staff always seem happy and eager to help in any way possible, even if the glasses are not from their store. They carry more frames than many other locations in the mall and are far more approachable and welcoming than the employees in other shops. I can especially appreciate how judgment-free they are, as I am not great at taking care of my glasses. All services Ive ever had there have been done very quickly, such as cleanings and adjustments. Most recently, I ordered new glasses which were ready for pickup the next day. I highly recommend Visionworks to anybody in need of glasses.

WORSE EYE EXAM EXPERIENCE EVER! It started out with me presenting my SuperiorVision discount card offered through my medical insurance company. I dont have Vision insurance but my medical insurance provider works with SuperiorVision to offer discounts on Vision. The SuperiorVision website indicated that VisionWorks accepts my discount. The lady checking me in rudely informed me shes never heard of such thing and didnt offer to get anybody elses opinion or assistance. Then the rude lady took me back to get the prep work of the exam done. She asked if I was wearing contacts and I informed her I was. She told me youll have to take those out but didnt bother to tell me where I should do that - because clearly there was no sink, mirror, containers, or solution in the room I was in. After she finished with me she told me to go back into the lobby and wait to be called in by the doctor. She didnt offer much assistance getting me back into the lobby without my contacts in either. The doctor came out to the lobby and sat me in the chair nearest the mall entrance and put the eye dilation drops in right there for all the mall patrons to witness and then suggested I look at frames while I wait for my eyes to dilate - even though I couldnt see anything. Doctor finally comes back to bring me into the exam room, does the exam, says nothing about the health of my eyes or my vision or prescription. Sends me back out to the lobby to wait for my prescription and bill to print. Some other lady, fresh from her smoke break, sipping her thermos without any sort of indication that she works there comes up to me and asks if Im interested in frames. I kindly informed her that I couldnt see well enough to even consider looking at frames. She seemed upset that she lost a sale and pointed me in the direction of where I could pay my no discount bill for the exam.

My daughter and I made appointments online. It said to bring our insurance information. Got a message the day before the appointment that they wanted the information BEFORE. It was too late to call them, so we showed up 20 mins early hoping that would be good. They would not START the vision test until the insurance coverage was confirmed. We were there 2 hours. If you have never been there or you have switched your insurance, call for an appointment and give them the information ahead of time.

Went a few weeks back to update my prescription and was helped immediately and it was probably the most affordable test in La Crosse and today I go in because one of the nose pieces fell out and I got it replaced and installed right away and at no cost! Great service and nice people!

My son stopped in because he was having difficulty getting his contacts out. He is an inexperienced contact wearer. He was told a doctor was in and he should go to the ER. The associates working assumed that the contacts were stuck in his eye and needed medical attention and did not ask additional questions to understand the situation. My son walked over to Eyemart and they worked with him even though he was not their customer. When I called and asked the manager why they told him to go to the ER he said they qere not equipped to take care of situations like that. I then asked you are equipped to help teach him to take them out? And he said that they were, but because he was not there at the time he did know the situation. My response was, its called laziness, and bad customer service where they clearly did not ask questions so that they could assist him properly.

Considering how much I paid for these glasses, youd think they would have given me some new frames rather than the display sample that a thousand people have tried on. Plus the lenses dont even fit the frame properly.

I was very happy with my experience at the LaCrosse Visionworks store. Amy was the sales associate and she was attentive and knowledgable. In comparison with the other eyewear stores in the mall, I think Visionworks strikes a good balance between price and value. I have a pretty strong bifocal prescription, so I was happy that Amy took time to carefully measure my PD and make sure my glasses were made correctly.

I visited Visionworks for the first time today for an eye exam. The eye examiner, Dr. Buckley, is truly passionate about his work and described some symptoms Ive had in more detail than anyone before him has ever bothered to do. Bette really took time to make sure my order was right. The service was right and the price was too.

Was told my glasses would be ready the monday after the weekend. Called on monday and nobody in the store was aware of my order. First representative I talked to said she would get back to me and never called. Second representative simply said there was no note of my order even though the technician (supposedly) entered it into the computer right in front of me.Would not recommend this form of customer service. I am probably not the norm, but the customer service wasnt satisfactory after it happened.

Just went in to get a scratch repaired that I have talked to them about many times before. Now they said I have no warranty anymore. Even though the clerks said to bring them in anytime when they werent busy and they would take care of them. My glasses cost around six hundred dollars new. They just strung me along till my warranty ran out I guess. Super upset that they never even told me that the warranty was only 1 year before. Will never go back. Tell everyone never shop there.
