So, I had two different experiences with this place. The first is: we purchased a table from an individual and we hired billiards direct to go pick up the table and move it to our home and set it up. The movers were super nice people and we couldnt have been more pleased. The second: the table came with some pool cues. You know, standard house cues. I took them to be retipped and He looked at my cues and said he could put new tips on them but that they were junk. He actually insulted my cues several more times before I left. I went to pick them up and he was nice. Then, I asked if he sold tip repair kits that I could use at home in the future. Well, he was blunt. He doesnt recommend it. So, with all this said the service and equipment is ok. But for God sakes what ever you do, dont take a standard house stick into his store without being prepared for the insults. And thats why there are three stars.

I was looking for some pool cues and found this local shop. Awesome customer service, super helpful with just the right questions to ask someone just getting into billiards. I purchased two pool cues, carrying case, and some chalk. Awesome store.Thanks again guys.

I would recommend this shop anytime and to anyone who is thinking of moving a pool table. They just finished moving a 20 yr old Golden West 8 1/2 ft table.Brandon was awesome in the shop getting us squared away with all the details, felt choice and no hard sell with honest opinions.The moving team was professional from start to finish. They let me know if anything was wrong at each step before assuming it was ok.I have never enjoyed playing pool more than on this table.Ill be in to talk cues this week for sure.

I wish I could give 0 starsAt first my bf and I were excited about shopping for darts, we are novice players and were looking for advice. A local had recommended Billiards and Darts Direct to buy from.Brandon (the owner) was helping a family choose a pool table and we waited a very long time to even be acknowledged by him. We were vastly under-whelmed with the selection of darts available and most of the packages were quite dusty.Brandon opened a package for us to try on the in store dart board, and left us again.One of his staff arrived and she was incredibly helpful and patient with us. We tried about 8-10 different kinds of darts. We ended up paying $253.46 for two sets of darts, extra tips, and a case. She made the experience better.Upon purchase we were not told anything about the return policy and it is no where to be found on the wesite. It was only AFTER we purchased them that the return policy was printed on the receipt. We tried the darts for a few games after buying them, but were not satisfied...especially when we found the exact same brand and style on Amazon for 1/3 the price.We tried to return them thinking there would be no problm. The receipt said no refunds on goods that have been DAMAGED. Ours were NOT damaged, even the tips were straight. Brandon told us that they dont do refunds on used darts....it said nothing about that on the receipt.PLUS...technically all of his darts are used because he allows you to open any package and use them in the store before you buy. So why was he not refunding us for our undamaged used darts?We told him that his way of business and how the return policy is written is very misleading. I re-read his policy to him and he told me The bottom line is....Im not giving you your money back. All he offered was to exchange our darts which means he would still take our used darts back and ultimately exchange our purchased darts with another set of his used store darts. We found higher quality and the same exact darts on Amazon for way cheaper. He wouldnt even consider a price match of any kind.He was rude, cold, unhelpful and from our first time buying seemed like we were bothering him by buying his product or even being there. I am very dis-satiafied with the severe lack of customer service or care.We were planning on buying a $300 home dart board from him our first day, but again....found the same one on Amazon for half the price...AND I know I will receive amazing customer service through them.Too bad he lost our business, I hope for the consumers sake he doesnt get any one elses businessBelow is a picture of our receipt AND photos of the darts we were trying to return....UNDAMAGED.

This will be updated (hopefully). Bought a beautiful stick. He helped me fix my bag when it was broken. But the tip knocked off my stick after 5 sessions. Not worth the $250. If its corrected, everything else is 5 stars. Great guy, super helpful. Just wish my stick wasnt broken.

Best place in San Diego County hands down for anything billard related. Good prices and the knowledge is a bonus. I drive from north county do La Mesa to shop. I will only purchase cues I can hold and touch I refuse to buy a cue online I need to know how it feels before I buy it.Also check out Brandons you tube channel! Good information and product reviews.Also has a very large selection of cues in the county. From beginner to advanced.He has darts and other stuff but I dont play darts so cannot really speak on that but if anything like his billards selection the you will happy also.

Helpful staff, and a very wide selection of American made pool cues. I was easily able to find one for myself within my price range with the help of the staff member who used to professionally compete. He adjusted the weight of the cue for me, and also applied an APA discount off the top of the order, which felt generous. I would definitely come back, but I dont think Ill need to for quite a long time.

This place is great! I went in here to purchase my first ever Cue and was instantly greeted and asked if I needed help, Brandon helped me with everything I needed. He went out of his way to really help me understand the basics of buying a cue for the first time and gave me the proper information to get the best products in my price range. The most knowledgeable staff I have ever met anywhere. They can tell you about any cue in there store and the repairs they do are excellent from tips, ferrules, rewraps, shaft refinishing, etc. Great customer service all around.

Had a pool table moved from a residence to my residence.. I found the movers Randy and Abram were very helpful, great people skills. They did a measurement in the room to make sure table was squared. Very good with the leveling, We live in military housing, I will be contacting these people again for our next assignment.
