Everyone I spoke to or came into contact with were phenomenal. I dont think Ive ever had such an amazing experience with anything. It was my first time getting my vision checked. The Doctor explained everything in great detail. Picking out eye glasses was easy, fun and informative. The process of going through everything was fast and easy. The office itself looks very clean and organized. Happy to make this my permanent place to go.

Surely, you get your eyes checked out and you get a decent prescription as you should. However, the dr is rude, assuming, doesn’t listen, & needs a lesson in bed side manner and decorum. We visited 3 years in a row, hoping it was just a bad day, & nope not again.

This was the easiest process Ive ever had to deal with. To be honest, I am not a huge fan of visiting doctors in general, my anxiety shoots through the roof. This was painless, quick, and easy. Dr. Riggs is a cool guy, he makes you feel comfortable, and doesnt pass judgment no matter how long its been since your last eye exam... The office staff was just as helpful and very cooperative. If you have to go anywhere and ever feel the same about doctors, this is the place to go. Call, make an appointment, and get some glasses. If youve worn glasses before, bring them with you. The office was freshly lightly remodeled. A very clean and organized office. Highly recommend.

Small cozy office. It took a couple weeks to get in for our initial visit, but totally worth the wait. The doctor is awesome, so easy to talk to. You can tell he loves his job. He keeps his guitar on his private office and plays quietly between patients, so cool. The staff there is amazing too. Sarah especially. She is super patient and sweet. My youngest was getting contacts for the first time. She was great with her, very encouraging, and patient. This is our new home eye doctor.

I was visiting from Jacksonville, Florida and forgot to bring my contacts. I was desperate. The team at Dr. Riggs office were amazing and went out of their way to help me get the replacement contacts I needed. My visit would not have been the same without their help!! Thank you so much!

I Have the worse to an almost blind prescription, I really can’t put on price on being able to see. (yeah not a simple Laski fix here, more like a 4 surgery process that would not get me even to 20/20). So getting glasses or contacts are a necessity for me. I even have a different insurance that can’t be used here but i covered elsewhere. Honestly it doesn’t matter to me. Why?, because they do an Awsome job with their eye exam. I been going to an ophthalmologist since third grade, which is now decades. The ophthalmologist here adjusted my Eye prescription to perfection and explained it in a way I could understand. I800contacts might be cheaper IDK but more I don’t care b/c I’d rather support an excellent local business than cookie cutter chains where one is just a number. I highly recommend coming here for your prescription or adjustments to you current prescription.

Best experience with an optometrist in years. The staff is beyond courteous and professional. The office is clean and everyone is masked. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a very thorough and friendly optometrist.

I have been going to Grossmont Vision Center Optometry for many years. To me, my eyesight is about important as my heart. I have complete trust in Dr. Kevin M. Riggs and his staff. The staff are well trained and efficient as they quickly move you through various eye tests. These preliminary tests help Dr. Riggs when he personally conducts his examination of your eyes. If you are considering having your eyes checked, you should not hesitate to consider Grossmont Vision Center Optometry. Im glad I did!

Ive been going to Dr. Riggs for many years, and I always get a thorough examination, along with friendly service from everyone. Any problems I have are taken care of right away, and Im happy with the service I receive.

After a rocky start making an appointment (using their Make an Appointment option on the web page… definitely would have been more efficient to just pick up the phone and call!). Highly recommend this facility for your optometry needs. Everyone (Elizabeth, Lynn) was very friendly, helpful and took time to explain procedures. As a new patient, no matter how many times you go through a routine eye exam - this was unexpected but very well-received! Dr. Kevin Riggs is clearly very knowledgeable and took a lot of time also to review my history and explain the results of my exam. He also - in layperson terms - clearly answered all my questions and concerns. It took me 7 years after my favorite Optometrist of several years retired to find another resource for my vision needs. Im very pleased with this choice!

Ive been going to Grossmont Vision Center for close to 5 years now and have had great experiences each time Ive visited. Theyve always been on time, the front counter staff are very friendly and informative and Dr Riggs is great.Ive purchased several pairs of glasses from them as well. They have a great selection and are very helpful in picking out new frames. I dont think you could ask for anything more from them.

This is my 2nd year getting glasses from Grossmont Vision. What an incredible company. The latest, and most technologically advanced equipment not only guarantees an accurate and comfortable prescription, but also addresses overall eye health. The staff is extremely well trained in product knowledge, insurance, and appointment efficiency. And finally they have a very good selection of frames to choose from. From my initial reminder of a needed annual appointment, a text message of appointment time, to an amazing 48 hour delivery of my Maui Jim sunglasses, it was just a very pleasant cycle. You dont cut corners when it comes to your eyesight, so Im a permanent customer.

DO NOT come to this office!! Dr. Riggs is well starts with an A ends with an E. I had been coming for years and lately it has fallen off. The knewest hire, Elizabeth is useless. Lacks knowledge and competence and shes a manager??? Liana is great but needs to go elsewhere. Dr is rude, and makes people feel little. Never used to be this way. I miss the old staff like Sally and Dana who would take the time for people to know what they were getting. Wont spend money here and longer. Wasted my time.

This is the worst experience at a medical office that Ive ever had! First, they told me to come in at 2:30 and never actually scheduled me. Then Elizabeth, an assistant, asked me why Im on Medicare because Medicare is for old people. She then asked me what my disability is. I should not have to explain in detail how my disability causes me to suffer every day of my life, or list my symptoms, in order to see an opthometrist. I ran out of the office in tears, I was humiliated. I will never walk through their door again. If you want to be respected as a patient and as a person, never schedule an appointment here!

The Optometrist was extremely professional and even fixed my Rx bc a Doctor from another vision center had over corrected my astigmatism and caused me to see blurrier and caused pretty significant eye strain. However, when it came to the pretester, retail aspect of it, I was treated pretty poorly. The woman was extremely rude. I don’t even know her name but boy was she something else. First off I forgot my glasses in the car and she told me to go back to my car to get them. I parked far and she had immediate attitude and said, “Wow, how far did you PARK?” As if she was annoyed with me. Then in the end I chose to get my prescription to go online and order from Warby Parker and she was ticked that I didn’t get my glasses from the Vision Center. I would have paid about $100 more even with our insurance. So how can she blame me if I wanted to order online? Very put off. Now I’m even scared to come in to ask to get my glasses adjusted or I’ll be hit with more attitude, even though I’m still very much a customer and paid good money to see the doctor. I’ll be calling to complain as well. DO BETTER.

I have been going to Dr Riggs for my eye exams for a few years now. I travel 120 miles to see him, thats how good I feel he is. His staff, especially Sally, are so professional and really know their job. I havent been to see him for a few years now due to family health issues but I see from some of the recent reviews that there have been some changes, and not for the better. I reserve judgement until I see him myself which will be next week, Feb. 2013.

Monday April 20, 2015 - I fell and mangled my glasses. As asked by my primary Doc. I waited until I was sure that I was not concussed, I called GVCO. Lin was very helpful calling the company that made my frames, offered to stay late if needed because she wanted to see the damage on my glasses. We had to order new frames and lenses. My frames are one back order so she offered to give me loner frames once my lenses come in. Dr. Griggs you have an amazing staff. Angela San Diego.

The establishment was nice and clean but the 3 ladies who work there are dishonest and rude. The doctor was alright but i won’t be giving them my business and I won’t be using the prescription I received from them either.

These people are rude and unprofessional. They way over charge for an eye exam. I had an eye exam that wasnt able to finish they told me if I paid I could come back and finish the exam no charge. I go back to finish the exam and they tried charging me and my insurance again! $110 for a 5 minute exam is BULL!!
