Nice, clean well organized and well run store. Actually feels like a neighborhood hardware store with friendly and helpful proactive personalities. Too bad Home Depot can’t learn more from Dixieline.

Decent products, floor people happy to help but as always a back up at the checkout. I always plan for an extra ten minutes over normal checkout. Other similar store are way faster.

I paid 50 dollars for a hose that I bought there 5 days ago, but the store is not able to find it at all in their system, and not willing to even give store credit when I showed bank statement of purchase, and have spent thousands of dollars at this store. Not sure I will continue business to support this smaller business when they are not willing to help, I will just save money and drive 5 minutes further to Home Depot

It was a good experience, the people are helpful, they are limited in real hardware type items, most of the nuts and bolts are in small bags, dont go there if youre looking for a unusual thread or size. I was there for plastic tubing and brass fittings, they had what I was looking for, and they give a senior discount, parking is close by, there garden center is good, and they have a good selection of lumber & paint, speaking of paint they can match any color of a item that you bring in I used that service several times, and was very satisfied.

I called and was on hold for 13 mins then I got hung up on then I called back and was on hold again for 13 minutes until I was hung up on Im calling to check to see if they have retaining wall block it sounds so simple so I called the third time and asked for the manager but apparently the manager was not available and the lady was trying to look it up at the front desk because the department would not pick up to answer the question on the phone I was on hold for about 6 minutes and then hung up on again. I have the most simple question to answer its unfortunate but I will have to go shop somewhere else. How does a store operate without a manager? Maybe a manager would help them answer the phone and simple questions like these so that people could spend money here versus a competitor. Dixieline was always my first choice but not anymore.....

Great neighborhood hardware store, competitive prices and excellent customer service 👌. Would recommend yo anyone local looking for an alternative to making the drive across town to one of the big box stores. They have a very good website as well with up-to-date inventory at each store.

Recognizing an exceptional employee. Within the last couple of weeks we had visited the Rancho San Diego store on Avocado Ave. La Mesa and bought a large pergola, a rain barrel 2 large pieces of wood and some yard art. The young man, Aaron, helping us was not only friendly but very professional and helpful. He made sure the boxed pergola would be ready for pick up, and loaded the rest of the stuff in our SUV. When I returned in our truck, he was there to help and made sure we got the sale prices for the pergola and rain barrel. We appreciated his courtesy and friendly smile very much and answered any questions we had about the products we bought. We wanted to recognize Aaron for his friendly help.

The place to go if you have LOTS of time. Lack of available salespeople make for long wait times. I spent 20 minutes waiting for some simple lighting questions, young salesperson finally came over to assist, but didnt know answers to my questions... No offer to call an expert, more experienced salesperson. When she left, back to waiting until another salesperson saw I had been waiting a long time, he came over to assist, he also couldnt answer my questions.

Always friendly and helpful. Very clean and neat. Not the largest amount of goods since its not a main store, but 95% of the time they have what is needed.

Not your typical home improvement store experience, more of a neighborhood service where folks know each other. Great people.

I like that Dixieline offers more custom items and personalized service. This particular location was converting their lumber yard so it was difficult to look at their sheds, what we were shopping for at the time. They suggested we went to their La Mesa location. They had sheds out back but at first it was difficult to find. The cool thing is the sheds were setup. I found the perfect shed, on sale. Unfortunately, I found the exact same shed in stock at Home Depot for $150 less. That is too much of a difference for me. I will continue to check Dixieline for hard to find and more custom items but will remember to shop around.

Love it here. Everyone is so helpful and they have most of what I need when I visit.

Bunch of lazy Employees, that make you understand that they dont care about your business. I live in Mount helix, and in the last 2 years I have had a lot of house projects going on, and since the store is located few minutes away from my house, I thought I would give it a chance, I used to go there ALOT, and I must say that I never got friendly help from anyone, everyone is always playing so busy, even when there are only 2 people in the store,Bottom line, when I go to home depot, I am happy and excited, when I go to that specific Dixieline location, I just want to get out of there as soon as possible.Home Depot, You are my second home !

Absolutely love the herb and veggie selection for my raised beds. The only reason it isnt getting a 5 star is because they dont have a clearance area for plants. I was told price was negotiable if plant looked tired but still id like to see a clearance area.

My husband bought a 5 gallon houseplant a week ago at the Rancho San Diego Dixieline. It had apparently gotten soaked in the Garden Center from the rain. Within a couple days it started to get root rot and some of the stems had turned to mush and leaves were falling off of it. This particular plant is sensitive to overwatering. My husband went down there today to get a refund knowing that he would possibly come home without a replacement as there were only two plants to choose from when he bought it. They actually ordered us a new plant so it will be a brand new healthy one when we get it. Great job Dixieline! :)

The Rancho Dixieline is geared towards the homeowner. Limited lumber, but expanded garden area. Well stocked. If a senior citizen, ask for your discount.

The selection may be slightly less than larger chain hardware stores but the service was exceptional. It has the feel of an old fashioned small town hardware store where everyone knows your name.

I come here for there selection of Traeger accessories, rubs and pellets. They have the best selection now that Crown Ace hardware is going out of business in Point Loma Dixieline is the place to go.

The store has all the tools and merchandise as all the other Dixieland stores do. I feel sometimes neglected by the staff I suggest if you need to ask question for a project maybe you should try a different store.

The guy with a pony tail wouldn’t ring me up at 6:00 pm (closing time) for a bag for pellets for my smoker. I’m a local dad trying to finish a bird for my family’s dinner. Would have taken him an extra 60 seconds to help me out but his more concerned about getting home than customer service.

Horrible. Cant even have the correct hours posted. Im super glad a waisted a trip to dixieline...... even though they werent supposed to close for another hour. If any one gets fired from McDonalds for being an idiot, I think dixiline is hiring.
