UPDATED POST:Tried this place again (actually twice) since my post below. I’ve had the mint chocolate marshmallow, red velvet cookies and cream, and the snickerdoodle flavors. All were awesome. I’ll certainly be back to try other flavors soon…like real soon! Updated pics below.———————————————————————————————We tried here two weeks ago.Service was friendly, nicely decorated parlor, ice cream was just okay. They were out of the Chai which I really wanted to try, so I’ll have to revisit.I did try the coconut ice cream wasn’t bad.I’ll give this place another shot and update this post.

Yummy real ice cream! Nice clean friendly atmosphere. There was nowhere to sit and enjoy our treats(covid & prefer you wear a mask) but we stood outside, and that was fine. There is nowhere to discard your trash in the back of the building, which would have been nice. Im a return customer very soon!!

Best strawberry short cake ice cream I had in a long time.Excellent customer service the owner and his wife is so nice I will definitely be back for more ice cream. Make me feel like I was back down in South Carolina.

I travel from PA to see my sister and we get your ice cream every time! It is beautiful and smooth and there are so many flavors to choose from! I wish I could find a way to get it back to PA!!! Excellent excellent ice cream!

This Belgian waffle sundae was delicious and filling. Couldnt even it the whole waffle. Next time Im looking to try the funnel cake sundae

A hidden jewel to me before today, but it is now FOUND!! If you like handmade ice cream you NEED to get over to Landons asap! This is THE SUMMER SPOT TO STOP IN ON!! Very creative flavors, dipped waffle cones, the combinations are exhaustive!! Make your way to La Plata and support this small business!! Customer service was very good, masks appear to be optional for customers per Maryland/CDC guidelines. No in store dining at the moment, but I look forward to returning. That Red Velvet Ice Cream will be my next selection!! See you THERE!!!!!🍦🍦

Staff was very friendly and helpful with us making our decision on flavors. The ice cream was superb. My kids and I enjoyed it. You can get a variety of sizes. They also make fresh waffle cones on-site. I really enjoyed the butter pecan. Best place to park is around back, street parking is limited.

It was hot. Very hot. And there I was walking around in the sun. I saw this place, and figured I need something cold. It was a life saver!Other than that, there is friendly service, and the coffee ice cream was delicious!

This is the beat ice cream that I have had in Maryland. It is absolutely the best ice cream menu. There are lots of options. I even enjoyed the strawberry ice cream and I dont even like strawberry ice cream. Or maybe it was just my first time having good strawberry ice cream. The shop is small and so that felt nice to me. It was like going to a friendly local ice cream shop in a small town. It was very clean. Everything was put back in into its own little place when it wasnt being used. There was this constant clean as you go that every mom wishes to see in real life lol. My kids loved it and have also decided that its their favorite. I am really impressed with this ice cream shop.

Tried this place specifically to try and support local.The selection seemed small for an ice cream shop, and contained mostly flavors that weren’t as traditional.Everything is served in a cup, unless you specify a cone. There aren’t sundaes at this place.Due to COVID, you need to order through the window to a two-way speaker wired under the window. It was a bit awkward to order to someone 2 feet away from me through the window, looking away from me. Even when asked to see cup sizes, I was shown cups without any eye contact. Seemed a bit strange as far as customer service goes. Then someone walked outside to hand me the ice cream in a bag. So all the efforts to avoid human interaction, then handed a bag face to face.Overall, the ice cream wasn’t bad. I’ve never been to an ice cream place that doesn’t have sundaes or offer cones unless specifically requested.Next time, I’m going somewhere else though.

I had the Charles Street Crunch. It was good. This place is great for a sweet treat!

I may be bias considering i have been working here for over a year now, but this is the absolute best place for ice cream in somd. not only do we provide excellent customer service, but the best quality products, if you ever stop by try the red velvet cookies and cream, its my absolute favorite! i love to be a part of such an amazing atmosphere, and meet such amazing customers on the daily. high quality ice cream definitely brings big smiles to everyones face, (even under masks!)

This place is on point. I had the brownie sundae and it was absolutely delicious. My only compliant would be it was too small. I wonder if they do custom sizes? I would love to have like a 3lbs banana split.

The ice cream is so VERY good! They were out of Mint Chocolate Chip but one of the other options was a non-dairy Thin Mint that was surprisingly good! Ordered 5 different flavors, five thumbs up! Ordered it in-store, carried it out and we enjoyed everything! Thanks, Landons staff!

Im usually not an ice cream lover BUT this ice cream is unbelievably good. I love the cake batter and blue berry cheesecake ice cream and my husband is a huge fan of the butter pecan ice cream. The place is always clean and the staff friendly. I highly recommend Landons to family and friends.

Really quaint place. Unfortunately they did not have the vegan selections available. My non vegan family members enjoyed the flavors and handmade cones.

This is hands down the best ice cream available. Once we found Landons,we havent bought any other ice cream. The variety of flavors available make it so there i something for everyone. The pints are actual pints and being hand packed, you definitely get more than the store bought pints. We love keeping a few flavors in our freezer. Also being a local small business, we are happy to be able to spend our money there instead of at the chain stores. The service is probably the only thing better than the ice cream! Oh and you can also get reward points, so an extra 10% off every now and then is great! If you havent tried Landons Ices & Creams, you have no idea on what you are missing out on. I just found out they will be open year round! So Im pretty excited about that and what seasonal flavors that will bring!!

The ice cream is amazing and creamy and rich. The samosa cookie flavor is delicious and I got a whole pint for 13.00 bucks i believe. Very happy abd satisfied. The banna pubbing and red velvet are also amazing

I decided I wanted some icecream this weekend (without all the added stuff) and stumbled across Landons. I sent a message inquiring about the menu and got a quick response. I thought I had a game plan and backup plan for flavors, but when I got there, there were so many. I was the only one one in there and it was mid day so I had plenty of time to choose. I went with the daily specials, gingersnap and chai latte. I drove home, washed my hands, and popped the lid...... I restrained myself and didnt eat the whole cup (I bought two scoops). The flavors and texture were amazing and the portions were too. The two ladies that were there, busy at work keeping everything organized and clean and very nice. Definitely a place for a nice treat. Well see what the next flavor adventure brings!

Landons is our happy place. They have a good range of expected and unique flavors. Even some of the more typical flavors come with a personal touch - james peppermint is for anyone who wants to justify having a candy cane in July, complete with chunks of peppermint candy. The cookies and cream has pulverized cookie in the vanilla ice cream base, plus larger bites of cookie.Basically, we go out of our way to be in proximity so someone can say hey, were near Landons, right?Another point in Landons favor: family owned, local business.

Saw on one of the reviews that the egg nog ice cream was delicious so I decided to give it a try....boy was I disappointed! It tastes like flour and cinnamon and left a horrible tasting coating on my tongue. Honestly Ive had better egg nog Ice cream from Turkey Hill in the frozen section of my local grocery store. Word of advice people...TRY BEFORE YOU BUY! DONT GO BY THE WORD OF OTHERS!!

OMG This ice cream was sooo good. It reminded me of back in the day when my grandmother used to make it. It was smooth and creamy and the flavors were perfect. I got the Cookie Monster, Charles Street Crunch & Chocolate Peanut Butter & a Belgian waffle made to perfection!(Im not exaggerating) Its was super clean and the service was awesome, with smiles so big I could see them through the mask lol. I was really pleased.

My wife and I heard about this place from our neighbor. It is easy to find and in a great location. They have a variety of flavors to choose from and the prices are reasonable. Not to mention the ice cream is great. My wife had the special they offered which was the strawberry shortcake. I chose the Tuskegee Airmen Swirl. I got a waffle cone and instantly felt like a kid again !! My wife enjoyed her ice cream as well. The ice cream taste good and you get the sense it isnt loaded with artificial additives. Great customer service complimented by a savory product!! Hurry and stop by Im sure the lines will get longer this summer.

The best ice cream in charles county bar none! Trust me! My wife, daughter and I are ice cream connoisseurs! We have recently started a no sugar and bread diet but allowing ourselves one cheat day. (Sunday). However, we gave in today (Wednesday) LOL. I mean this is not your ordinary run of the mill ice cream, how can you resist?! I usually stick to pistachio and chocolate chip but sometimes I deviate. My wife counts the red velvet cookies and cream and the charles street crunch among her favorites. I am selfishly hoping they add rocky road one day. An old school favorite of mine! Nonetheless, they have something for everyone and we have not gone anywhere else locally for ice cream since we discovered this great family owned business. My husband and I stopped by while we were out. He chose a milkshake and I got the Belgian waffle topped with Salted Caramel ice cream. I have never tasted something so divine. The waffle is made from scratch and the ice cream was the creamiest and most delicious by far! The milkshake was just as creamy and tasty. Ive found my new dessert 🍨 place.

Delicious homemade ice cream! Coconut caramel is my favorite. My dairy free kid enjoys the plentiful Italian ice options, green apple and raspberry lemonade are her favorites.

I got a regular sized Italian ice. This definitely is not Italian ice like you would get up North. The consistency was almost like soft serve ice cream, gooey and syrupy tasting. I had three scoops and couldnt eat anymore. There is really no way to explain how bad it was. I will still return to try the ice cream.

Wonderful family and amazing ice cream. The variety of flavors and its homemade ugh is the best part. My daughter has Italian ice and enjoyed it as well. Ill be back its not to far from Waldorf and one of my new favorite jewels of Charles county.

Jist tried their ice cream today. I had the chocolate and the double chocolate chip. Wow is all I can say! Such a difference between this and store bought ice cream. I cant wait to go back!
