I had to evacuate to Texas from Hurricane Ida, i have had nothing but help from all the places i went to. i would especially like to thank Kwik Kar Oil and Brakes. I just stopped in to get my tires pressure checked. the staff there were bending over backwards to be helpful. They aired up my tires and did not want to charge me anything. Did a state inspection. Ask tp please check tires. When i checked the pressure they were all at different pressures.

Went there today for an oil change and asked for assistance with a taillight. Jimmy resolved my taillight issue and provided excellent customer service.This place is great. I’ve been going there for over 18 years. I even had my Mercedes amg serviced there many times. Always go the extra mile to make a happy customer. Jimmy is extremely helpful and always answers questions that I may have.

I have come here twice for my state inspection (last August and this August), and both times were good experiences. This time, I was impressed with their enhanced COVID protocols. Also, you can comfortably wait outside during services (chairs in the shade), if you would prefer to avoid the inside waiting area.

This place is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I come here mainly for vehicle inspections because I change the oil myself, but I would highly recommend them for oil changes because my family uses them for that and they are quick but thorough. I have come a few times when they are busy (mostly Saturdays) but if I leave and come back in a couple of hours usually caught up and the line is reasonable. I have been using Kwik Kar Oil and Lube for over 5 years and have never been disappointed. They support the local La Porte Bulldogs Football team and that is a plus.

Where do I even begin? The moment I walked in I was greeted by the friendly owner named and was asked what I came in for. he explained in detail all of their service packages! he was extremely helpful and thorough. didnt wait long at all maybe 30 minutes TOPS! which is extremely fast for an oil change. made sure to take home a handful of business cards to hand out so everyone knows where the best car shop is in town! 10 stars!!

They could not to oil change on a Motorhome

They are always the best. Treat me well and always sure to explain. All I needed this time was a tire fill. For the last 4 years Ive only had them change my oil.

Jimmy takes pride in handling this business. He treats new customers just like he does regular customers and is honest and fair. I tell everyone hes my local mechanic because if he cant get it done hell refer you to another honest mechanic that wont take advantage of you. Hes been doing my vehicles and my family right for the last 5 years.

Good morning hope someone who owns this business reads this. I walk in ask the gentleman what it would cost to replace the spark plugs. I said I have my own plugs. He said a tune up will run you 350 to 400 dollars I just purchased the Oem plugs for 40.00 dollars .which would mean 20 minutes of work and your charging 300 in labor. Someone who doesn’t know any better might be taking advantage of. Shame on your business. Allowing your employees to try and rip people off.

Someone there barked at me to park, do I did. I sat there in the hot sun for 26 minutes, noone came to tell me anything, I watched 4 or 5 cars go in and out. Just got tired of waiting, not being acknowledged. Im new here, dont know my way around.

Oil changes are very expensive and the staff is very rude.

Jimi the manager is great. Always friendly and helpful. John the mechanic does excellent work and the price is about half what the Toyota dealership charges for the same job!

I brought my vehicle in for an inspection. It was looked at promptly and I received the paperwork I required for my registration. They apparently like working with newer vehicles, as that was the first question I was asked. I was good 2016.

Getting your oil changed now a days is kind of stressful. The cheap places usually do a pretty crapy Job. The only place I will take my cars is the kwik kar in Laporte. And I drive all the way from Kingwood to do so. The manager Jimmy and his long time staff remember my name and greet me with friendly professional service. They do quality work and it doesnt feel like they are trying to push extra services off on me that I dont need. I trust these guys. Have been using them for over 8 years. If anyone gives them a bad review, then theres something wrong with ther person who wrote the post. I know several people who take their vehicles to the laporte kwik kar and have only best things to say.

Excellent/informative staff. Was very busy when I went during lunch hour, but overall pretty quick. I was there about 45 min for an oil change. Itty bitty tv in lobby but was playing The Avengers to keep guests entertained.

Paid 122 for full including air pressure, asked twice if it was done. Got in checked my tire pressure was the same as when I came in. 40, 32, 30 and 33. I was told they set it to 45 clearly it wasnt. I could understand if they forgot, but to lie about it is extremely frustrating

Honestly only giving a poor/fair rating because terrible isnt an option. Arrived 10 minutes before closing time - turned away because the inspection machine had already been turned off. Arrived 2 days later 1 hour before posted closing time on a Wednesday and was declined inspection because the only inspector had just left for the day. No attempt to help me solve my problem. I will not try to give this business my money again. Seabrook is a short drive down 146 and has always been 100% helpful.

This place is a rip off I waited 20 minutes for them to even start the inspection when I was the only one there and then my truck failed inspection for windshield visor that came factory from the dealer when it has passed 3 times before and never once was I told anything about it.Complete rip off and employees don’t know what they are talking about!

Fast friendly service for state inspection

I have lived in La porte 10 years. In those ten years I have taken my vehicles to this store 4 times to be inspected. Only Once did they actually completed my Inspection. The other three times within a span of 10 years, I was told the same LIE each time …The Dyno Machine was broken. Thats not a coincidence…thats a pattern. Its a pattern that suggest two things…they are too lazy to want to run the set up for the Dyno…or they figured out that its better to Lie to their customers rather than tell them its just not cost effective to maintain thier dyno machines for customers with older vehicles. I WILL NEVER SOLICIT this store again.Never had a problem with Going to the Seabrook location for great service after being rejected by the Store 202 in La porte….until today….their specific lie was their Mother board was brokenSo it seems that maybe Kwik Kar are throwing those customers with older vehicles under the bus because thier cheap *****es dont want to pay for maint upkeep.
