I order my bmx bike 13 days ago and still nothing i called ups and they said they havent received the package but there is a tracking number but havent recieved it 13DaYs i talked to some one and they told me they were on lunch they would call me back

So first on the website it states “free shipping on bicycles”. I ordered a bike and was charged 35 dollars for shipping. When I asked them to honor it they didn’t. Finally I got the bike, except it wasn’t as stated on the description. The tires weren’t the same ones advertised. There were no name plates as advertised. The seat was a cheap material not velour as advertised.the frame looks cheap and not what I was expecting. And lastly they sent it out with no handlebars. How does one ride a bike with no handlebars??

I called ahead to order a hawkeye bike and talk to Henry. He was very nice and promise to have the bike built by the next Saturday.I came to his shop and the bike was built and ready to go.Very nice people here, I will come back to buy another one from him.Thank you Henry.

Ordered a dark blue genuine KMC Z chain, but I received a light blue knock off chain stamped Taiwan all over it and I mean... I ordered a set of origin 8 rims online and received a cheap pair with no branding that i definitely would have purchased. i called and explained this to the salesperson and they made a bunch of excuses the whole time and blamed the manafacturer . i also told him that they were damaged in shipping and he said i could use a marker to touch it up . no thank you.

Happy with my online order. Recieved everything today. Timely response to my emails. There was a stocking issue with one of my items (like every business today) but, they offered good solutions . What more can I ask for? Knowledgeable staff with solutions instead of the customer service run-a-round. I will order again!

I ordered a front brake and they sent me a rear instead. I emailed them, and was told that I was wrong and they had sent a front brake. I showed them the rear brake lever and they told me that the front and rear are the same lol. They are clearly different. Also I had a 4 foot long cable instead of a front shorter cable. They refused to do a simple thing and send me a front cable. I was willing to mount the brake lever upside down. But they sent back rude responses and were unwilling to fix their mistake.

Got my wheels today in perfect condition they were very nicely package and customer service is great I would recommend SGV Bicycles

Excellent service! SGV Bicycles was able to answer questions and provide parts that other stores couldnt answer or provide. They also quickly corrected a problem with shipping, and now my bike is back on the road! And for anybody else looking for the answer - a 12T fixed gear cog does require a smaller lockring than normal, and SGV Bicycles has one that works.

Was searching for mini bmx tires, which are apparently sold out almost everywhere right now. Henry not only had what I needed, but the specific set I was looking for were there, but not on the e-store site yet. as we spoke he had them added, and I was able to finish our transaction while on the phone. They shipped quickly, and arrived earlier than quotes. 100% great service, Henry was a big help, and I will look to them for more business in the future.

Im glad they got in touch with me about the matter, but 3 stars for the inconvenience.Ordered a wheelset and received a tracking number on the 26th. After waiting a whole week for the wheels to be sent, all I see is that a label was created. How is it that 5 business days go by and nobody could bring my wheels to ups so they could actually be shipped. Had to file a claim because they never responded to my emails, despite sending the first email during their business hours. Very disappointed

Ordered a wheelset from them, was packaged terribly. Axles sticking out of the box, and no insulation inside so they were hitting each other in the box. First of all let me start off by saying I AM BEYOND PLEASED WITH NOT ONLY MY FIXIE BIKE BUT ALSO THE OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE I received from SGV. I thought I was coming to look and put a down payment on the bike for later pickup because of the orders ahead of mines, boy was I wrong,SGV was so generous that I was asked if I would be willing to wait 30 mins and they would put the bike together for me to take home, I was so delighted because they saved me a 45 min drive . I definitely recommend this place of business to anyone who is looking for a good bike for a reasonable price and OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! SGV IS DEFINITELY THE PLACE TO GO . You will not be disappointed.

Owner/sales person talked to me with one foot in the door the whole time. I Wanted to know the fit of a bike, he only had it in box. He didnt seem to want to help me figure out if it would be a good fit for my height.The whole vibe was buy it now as is and Ill build it-- or go away. I want to sell it online.Looking at their responses to criticism, it correlates with my experience. Thier customer service outside of successful sales is poor.I think Ill pass on the bike and this Shop.Response: I did not want to go into the store. I wanted help with a bike fitment and potential purchase. Their salesmanship was rude, dismissive and poor. Thats the point. I took my business elsewhere and Im warning others.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very bad service and theyre rude to the customers. Before heading down there I had spoke to the owner about the bicycle I was going to purchase and he had told me he DID have it. Wasted 30 minutes driving down there for a lady to come out with an attitude and tell me the product I had called for in advance wasnt available. Not even a minute later I witnessed them having an altercation with another customer about the same problem. I saw bad reviews about this shop and decided to ignore them but DONT IGNORE THIS!!!!! THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME!!

I ordered a bike from them online May 2020, They were the only store that had any stock left so I was a little hesitant but they did in fact have the bike. Shipping took a little long so I called them and they explained and apologized. I would not hesitate to buy another bike from them.

Bought new wheel set w tires etc I asked to swap tires since I noticed they were cheap didn’t happen didn’t mind til the inner tube popped @ 100 psi (max120) Not even riding my bike. Now I’m thinking I should replace the rear tube & might as well swap the cheap tires they sold me .. def low quality

My experience with the company has been horrible. Ordered a bike, came late and wrong size. Sent the bike back for the correct size, and when the correct size came it was missing pedals. Every time I call and try to get ahold of someone I am rushed off the phone and told to send an email. At this point I regret going thru this company and would not recommend anyone to go here. I am awaiting their response to see how they will rectify this

I purchased parts through the internet on the 3rd of October, and received them on the 5th of October. SGV did not bend the tires up like other places! Im almost three thousand miles away and paid for regular shipping. 2 days is amazing turn around time. I ordered some parts from a store 3 hours away from me on the same day and it took them 8 days to get to me. Great experience dealing SGV honestly.

I ordered an Animal sprocket from SGV and it was out of stock. The sprocket is old and out of stock everywhere!However, they took the time to send me pictures of similar sprockets and even offered to send me one that was more expensive than the original one I ordered at the same price. I cancelled the order because Im set on the Animal sprocket but their customer service was so good that I will now check with them for parts before anyone else.Looking forward to future purchases from them! I found the place after Googling shops that had the Aventon frame I wanted. Saw their competitive prices and even had color and parts options other online stores did not offer.Decided to drive out to SGV since it wasnt very far. This would be my first custom bike purchase so I did a bit of research beforehand on what I wanted/needed and brought a friend who knew bikes just in case.The minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. Zoe and Henry were both extremely nice and knowledgeable. They never once tried to pressure me into a more expensive build to make money or anything like that. I told them what I was looking for, they gave me honest opinions and advice and made it happen.Its a small storefront but they have a large warehouse in the back and have everything they stock on hand, which is a huge plus. Theres no waiting for days or weeks for parts to come in. I walked out with a complete bike in an hour at a great price (in the downtime, Zoe even pointed out some local food places in the area).My friend, who has been to nearly all the bike shops in our local area was thoroughly impressed with their knowledge and service at SGV. We both plan to come back for our bike needs in the future.

10 day return policy....for mail order, where you have maybe a day to figure out if the item works for you. They wouldnt take back tires that didnt fit my frame because it was outside their ludicrous ten day return policy. What business, especially mail order, only has a 10 day return policy? Avoid SGV Bicycle.

Ordered tires and grips online.On a hunch a woman working there called and asked if I wanted all 4 tires or only 2. (I didnt realize their price was for a SET of tires. Not just one).Turns out she was right and she refunded 20 bucks straightaway.So, I get my tires and grips and they were WAY better quality than I expected.I was absolutely blown away. I would have payed twice this walking into a store.Nothing but good things to say!!

Horrible experience! If we can give no stars for customer service, we would give none. We had contacted this bike shop to inform them a digit in the shipping address was incorrect and if we can so update the shipping information. We heard nothing back. Tried calling and they claimed they could do nothing about UPDATING THE SHIPPING ADDRESS and that its not their fault. How is a business supposed to ship out a bike if they do not have the correct shipping information...so we tried calling again and emailing to let them know the correct shipping address and everytime we try to get in CONTACT with them, no one ever picks up or replies to our emails...now as it seems they have blocked our number and none of our phone calls can get through. It has been over three weeks and we have no idea where the $700 bike is. Concluding in which they have SCAMMED US and not sure if well be able to get our money back. Horrible!!

Bought a custom fixie and it is great, except I had an issue with the black paint on the upgraded 70mm rims for both the front and back. I emailed customer service and have not even received a reply 4 business days later. Customer service is greatly lacking. Also, I had to email customer service as I did not receive my tracking number within the 24 hours from when I received the order receipt. When I did this they told my my bike would ship the next day. So, basically I had to get the ball rolling for them to even ship my bike when the money had been taken out of my account already. Still waiting for even a response on my other issue now that I have my bike. (I do understand that this shop is closed on Wednesdays, but should I really be treated this way as a customer?)

Ordered a bike from here online. First of all, they didn’t send me the correct handlebars initially although I did end up receiving them after all. Also, two of the spokes on the front wheel were crooked. Good prices tho!

I have lived less than a mile from SGV for over two years and did not know it existed. SGV is a little hard to find because it is in and industrial complex and not visible from the street.. Happily it does because I blew out my lower bracket and was stuck, not only did they have the parts I needed but they fixed my bike much sooner than I expected. Thank you Henry. The place is friendly and knowledgeable and carries the performance parts I need. If you live in the area and ride a performance bicycle then you owe it to yourself to check out SGV.

Absolutely AWESOME SHOP/OWNERS!!! I went in yesterday looking to possibly buy a $600+ bike. I asked a few questions about my 52 eleven year old son possibly growing out the bike, being new to doing tricks, and a few other things. Zoey (didnt ask her name in excitement day of, but saw from other reviews) helped answer all my questions and provided some recommendations. She could have easily sold me on the 600+ bike, but even told my son to think on it so he could choose the bike he really wanted instead. She looked up shipping info on a bike they didnt have in stock and made the whole experience wonderful. We ended up selecting a $340 SE Wildman and it was a great choice!Didnt feel any pressure to walk out with anything, great selection and recommendations, honest business, and great customer service! I will definitely go back and I think any sceptics should at least walk in or call and check it out!Now. We asked for the bike to be setup then and there as I finalized purchase with Zoey. Her brother Henry did the setup and its absolutely flawless! Sure putting a bike together isnt hard, but I dont think I couldve done it the same. My son took it for a spin right out the shop! Henry let me know if anything seemed off or needed adjustments once it settled we could take it back in within 6 months? My custom built fixie still hasnt been shipped after 7 days! I called UPS, to see when it would come to my house, and they said they didnt receive it. One of the customer service guys said that they sent me an email that the bike was out of stock. I didnt receive any email. Now I have to wait another few days in order to get my bike. I do not recommend this site. I will never get anything off their website again.

SGV manages to be a refreshing change in the pricey, elitist, and often patronizing world that often is independent bike shops. Their prices are amazing, in fact I was able to buy a bike from SGV for less than I could buy off Amazon, and in fact, SGV had the best price for this particular bike anywhere online, including the manufacturer. Adding on free shipping to my order was just the icing on the cake! There was a bug in their ordering system when I originally placed my order, so I put a phone call into SGV directly. Much to my surprise, customer service was both friendly and helpful fixing the issue. The bike arrived right on time, and arrived well packaged, greased, and very nearly assembled. If youre in the market for a bike, SGV is the place to go. The SGV custom fixie is without a doubt the best value in the fixie market.

My experience with SGV was one of the most appalling and stressful purchasing experiences of my life.Ill spare you the intense details, but the real cherry on top was after I had posted a poor review, SGV told me they would only compensate me for their mistakes if I took down my original Google review, and posted a newer, more positive review.Never buy from these people. They exercise the poorest of customer service, have little to no patience and never even recognized that they were at fault for my troubles, constantly reaffirming that the difficulties I faced were my fault.

I had initially ordered an Aventon build online in a Polished color, however I was later notified by an SGV customer service rep that unfortunately that color was out of stock as aventon had stopped producing it (not SGVs fault). Zoe gave me a variety of options similar to the bike I had chosen and after a few emails back and fourth Zoe was able to set me up with just the setup I was looking for. Very professional and amazing customer service, took the time to help me. Would highly recommend for anyone in the market for a bike or accessories.

I ordered an aventon mataro low and it came within 4 days. was easy to assemble if you have the tools. SGV really did a great job but one bad thing was that my frame came with a small paint chip on it, but it doesnt bother me. thanks sgv for the good shipping and the good prices

With all the claims of great service I decided to drive out here from DTLA. BAD idea. But it was a good experience. I learned the difference between a real bike shop and a mickey mouse shop. If you are looking for your basics and you live in the area I guess it can work. If you need real work done on your bike DONT come here.

SCAM DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. I ordered a Aventon Cordoba for what a thought was a bargain price, however when it got here things went downhill. The box was for a different bike, which scared me at first but opon opening it I realized they just put my bike in anothers. There was a hole on one side of the box that caused minor damage to my fork but I didnt worry about it to much. Once I was going to assemble my bike I realized there was no front brake in the box, so I emailed the company. They did email me fast however did not help me whatsoever with my issue. I explained the issue to them and showed them proof of my invoices but they refused to help me because apparently if it says its included, then it absolutely was and If it wasnt then they are not going to believe you. I could care less about the minor damage (I did not inform them about it cause I did not want to return the whole bike, I just wanted my front brake) but the fact that they didnt even try to hell me really pisses me off. Will never recommend this please go to another site. They will make anything that goes wrong your fault.
