Typical hobbytown not much as far as rc cars and trucks compared to others and they wont work on them for you but still a good stop

First time customer ( probably LAST TIME as well )!!!!When I walked in the worker was in the middle of eating a sandwich. I told him it was my first time and what I was looking for. He pointed me in the direction and continued eating. Obviously the sandwich was worth more to him than my business...Im just getting into model planes. Therefore as a novice AND the fact I was the ONLY customer in the place I felt let down.The selection of planes is limited to military planes. I was looking for civilian aircraft. I explained to the worker still behind the counter my plans and again was offered no help. I was prepared to buy a few planes to start my collection, even if I had to order them.In closing, if your looking for a hobby store, I recommend searching online. You would be better not only in terms of selection but also helpful advice via fourums.I WONT be returning as I can just as easily be ignored by my dog and WONT have to spend my money on gas. 👎👎👎

Best selection in the Omaha/La vista area when it comes to Gundam model kits that I have seen my self. The prices are great too and friendly staff. I will get all my kits from them from now on.

The selection was honestly incredible, well over 30 different types of model kits for Gundam and other mechs. Has vehicle kits, paints, etc. for other hobbies. Good prices.

Been here (and to the much larger Irvington location) several times. They have a lot of cool stuff. If you want to see it, touch it, and talk to someone who knows something about it, I highly recommend paying a little more than you would online and visit this store.Side note: If your in the market for model train stuff and you dont find what you want here, make the drive over to North Central Omaha and go to the House of Trains. It is a crazy little store but they have a ton of stuff and I would consider them the local model train experts.

Customer service could definitely be better. But it’s the closest shop around for RC. And they have a decent selection of stuff. So if you are looking for RC or any other fun hobby kind of stuff don’t hesitate to go here. Just don’t expect a warm welcome and stimulating conversation with the people behind the counter. It’s a get in, get out, and get on with your life kind of place 😎

Had exactly what I was looking for and they were very nice, definitely coming back.

Nice hobby store. Has a little of everything. Not as large as the HobbyTown on the north side of town, but was able to get in and out over lunch break with what I needed for my RC car. Gentleman running the store was helpful when asking about specific tools and pieces, even made a phone call to the other HobbyTown in regards to a needed motor. Agree with other reviewers in regards to store... dont head there for all things RC related (other store up north is much more equipped), but if you are into models, planes, or in need of a quick part or paint for the RC car it is a good place to stop in and check.

Been to both Hobby Town locations, the selection at the north store is vastly greater, but the customer service has been equally disappointing.We’ve got a range of RC cars, from some very cheap internet finds to a few Traxxas models, and all need parts/maintenance.If we’re in there looking for Traxxas parts, the guys are fine, but when we go in to look for parts for the cheaper cars for the young ones, they become snobs who treat us as if we don’t deserve the attention.The store could close and I wouldn’t lose sleep.

Walked in. Walked out. Horrible store. Massive NO REFUNDS posters were the first clue this was going to be bad. Dirty, stained carpet, terrible lighting. Odd mix of products. Went in ready to spend $1,000 + on two rock crawlers for my two boys, got no help while the owner typed typed typed on a computer. Needless to say, no Axial crawlers in inventory. Never get back the 6 miles I drove across town back. Should have gone north to the other Hobby Town. Looks like it has rave reviews.

Always fun to visit. They have large selection of items. And not too expensive.

Sure friendly staff, very knowledgeable on all products. Spent over and hour here with my daughter and the gentlemen never once got upset at us for being loud.

This is the best place to go for Estes flying model rockets, Gundam plastic models, and all the tools, supplies and accessories you need to get the job done.

Customer service is non existent. I asked for help with a battery charger, the owner found a 40 dollar charger and said it would work. A few days later I used it and it didnt work. Went back to the store to get a resolution. First he tried to tell me it was the battery, which was brand new purchased at a different hobbytown a week prior . Then when I didnt have the original packaging, he would not return or give store credit. I explained that I didnt have the packaging and expected it to work since I showed him the battery and asked him for a compatible charger. His response was, but now I cant resell it. I asked if what he expects me to do is eat the cost because he was incorrect, and he said yes. Not having to take the 40 charger back for his mistake is more important than the future purchases I would have made.

Always loved this place. The only place in omaha where you can get gundam model kits and they have a great selection of them at a good price.

Awesome store. They lack a lil here and there and prices are cheaper online but as a plane and quad enthusiast its awesome to have a hobby store near by.

Not one care about customer experience. At least try. Not ok to feel like I am inconveniencing the people that are getting paid to work there. I gave two stars as I found what I was looking for. If you are new to this stuff, you will have better luck on YouTube. Absolutely no returns is absolutely mind boggling (in store credit... Maybe)..

Place was dirty, unorganized and dark

Been going here for years. If you have specific questions the owner will answer them. However he can seem a bit cold initially but I dont go there for social hour anyway. I asked about some models yesterday and the owner was pretty helpful honestly. Knocked one star off because the building and bathroom are pretty gross.

Asked for help with my sons rc car with parts bought from the other store. The man working days take it back to that store I dont know anything about these. Not very friendly at all. Wont come back now.

I went here to purchase a RC car, but they didnt have any. The guy behind the counter wasnt eager to help. He sent me to HobbyTown off of Irvington exit. Which by the way, that place rocks! This HobbyTown was not customer driven.

The owner watched us like we were about to make off with everything in the store the whole time. Even when he WENT TO THE BATHROOM. Door open, dick out, he was pissing in plain view of customers. We left and will not go back.Nevermind the cameras in plain view. Disgusting. First and last time.

Went in there ready to spend 400 on a new rc car but was immediately asked what I could be helped with i told him I was interested in some rc cars and wanted to look around and he just staired at me till I felt uncomfortable and walked back out the door.

Good place for model cars and the cashier is supper freindly

This store is mostly about models and trains. If you go to this store, they may not have what you need for your RC car so the best place to go is North to the Hobbyplex on Scott Cir. The reason why theres usually no refunds on hobby items such as RC cars is because a single bad hit from bad driving CAN destroy a car. So store credit is fair.

Stopped by at both Hobbytown USAs yesterday after my visiting to the SAC Museum, I chose to visit this one first because despite the low ratings(I feel like 99% left by the RC players) about how bad the customer service is, I also read this one carries more plastic kits, which is what Im looking for. It turned out it was the most correct decision I made that day. It has a very nice selection of plastic model kits, as well as very, very reasonable price tags, almost the same as what you can get from the internet, for example $17.95 for a 2016 Revell new-tool 1/72 JAS-39D(yes I know JAS-39C released last year) I just cant complain it at all. I barely see a Hobbytown would price their kits like these. I buy models for over 15 years and I have a huge stash, more than you can imagine of, so trust me I know what Im talking about. And speak of the customer service. Its not because the owner hate you/doesnt like to talk, I figured he just not good at it. If you know what you are asking for then he WILL respond to you with the answers you need. I think some of you RC guys just want the owner to tell you what to get. But hey keep in mind thats your own hobby, part of the fun is to figure it out yourself, do your own research before you start, its just type and search deal in Google! Otherwise you are just big boys that buying toys, and you cant even make your decision while you could when you were a little boy, kind of weird isnt it?I havent seen a decent plastic model hobbyshop like this for at least two years, most importantly it carries the latest products which benefits the hobby industry, guys please dont kill it with you irresponsible ratings.Let me make it straight, if you like plastic model kits, stop by at this one you won’t be disappointed; if you love the RC stuff, please visit the Scott Cir one.Thank you!

Im constantly amazed at their selection. Sometimes they might have only one or two of a particular item, but its in stock!

This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen and I have seen alot of bad service. I mean come on.. people are willing to pay alot for rc cars planes and so on but at least be helpful they look at you like your somemail kind of alien..Will not buy anything from here again.And from the looks of it Im not the only one.

Do not waste your time. Spent 500 bucks here on a traxxas nitro 3.3 and the guy there was a dick. New to the hobby and was hoping for some insight into it. He just ignored my questions. Rude and unhelpfull. How he still gets business is beyond me. Doesnt care about his customers. I refuse to ever purchase anything from here again.
