I have yet to make a big purchase at Joy ride Bikes having been in for tubes and parts so far. Ive got my eye on a Norco though . The last time I was in, as I was leaving on my bike, the clamp holding my seat on broke . A guy who works in the parts department saw this, ran out and was right on it ! There all helpful there . There are bike shops 0 closer but this one has proven to be the most reasonably priced . Ive saved $ on tubes and parts There.

I bought my granddaughter a bike online for her third birthday and thought I would be able to assemble it myself. Well you know how that goes…a couple hours later I was looking for help! I am so fortunate to have found this amazing shop!!! The staff stopped what they were doing and fixed the bike for me while I waited. I certainly didn’t expect it, but am so grateful to this kind and professional staff!

I bought a RAD mini ST2 and I needed help with adjustments. This was the only place after visiting three other bike shops that would even help me. They were friendly, helpful and adjusted my bike right on the spot. They ROCK and are number 1 on my bike list! Also have many gear choices and are very covid safe. I go to Joy Ride for everything my bike needs. I bought it there and have had many repairs and part replacements done over the years. Theyre always friendly and certainly arent opposed to helping you learn to do things yourself.

Took bike in that was having brake problems. Expected long downtime plus expensive bill. Bike tech noticed the problem, fixed it and we were on our way. No downtime and no bill. Needless to say that was great customer service. Will recommend this shop to anyone who will listen.

Was walking up to the shop, wasnt aware of what time they close and the owner slammed the door in my face and walked away. Really didnt expect that, knew exactly what I wanted and I would have been out in 2 minutes they lost a quick sale and lost all future business from me.Wasnt having a good day, just wanted apart from my BMX bike wanting to get back into an old childhood hobby, they wont get one red cent out of me nor will they get any recommendation from me. Im a simple man and I operate on respect, all he could have said to me was sorry were running a tight ship here and we got to close. The staff was so nice and helpful. I needed an inner tube replaced on my stroller tire, and they made sure all the tires were properly inflated for that one, and the other 3 tires I brought along from our other stroller. And helped me understand my options for a broken part on my daughters bike, even though the best option didnt make them any money! Well be back!

Has been my local bike shop for 2 years now. Wouldnt buy anything online unless they couldnt order it. Amazing service absolutely incredible guys, worth the extra money you spend these guys care about you and your bike. Anytime they accidentally sell me the wrong thing or I ask for the wrong thing the exchange is less than a 5 minutes. 6/5 stars cant wait for group rides to come back

I cannot say enough about the customer service at Joy Ride. First of all they were so caring and accommodating when I explained that I am sensitive to the fumes found in bike shops due to the plethora of products made with petrochemicals. The staff were more than willing to meet me at the bike rack in front of the store to conduct our business. Secondly when I experienced a significant problem with a new bike they went above and beyond in attempts to repair the issues over a period of four months. When it became evident there was a design flaw Joy Ride staff worked with the manufacturer/distributor to make sure there was a resolution that was fair to me. I am so impressed with the integrity of this business!

These guys are awesome! Every time I go in they are super kind and helpful. Theyve done a few repairs and installs for me and they always do excellent work. I had an older bike that had a bent rim, a busted chain, and the gears needed adjusting and they handled it all. Theyve called me with any additional questions they had or before they did anything outside of the agreed work.I loved their service so much that I just purchased my first bike from them. I bought a bike from Joy ride a couple weeks ago. Will was great, he spent around an hour with me answering my questions and explaining the differences in bikes. I havent owned a bicycle in twenty years so I was clueless as to what to look for but left feeling like I had the right bike for me. After a few rides Im confident I went to the right shop.

Hours are weird and bmx section is so pinner and over priced

Everyone is super helpful and they arent pushy like a lot of places. They genuinely know the products and will help match you with the correct bike or bike parts. Their selection is great on everything, but if they dont carry exactly what youre looking for, they will order it. We RENTED bike seats for a week and I wanted something different still, they ordered it and it came in the next day. My go-to place!!!!

My husband and I recently purchased bikes at Joy Ride and the staff was excellent. No pressure to buy high end items, they fit the bike to the rider. They spend time and give great care in assisting the customer to find the right bike. Their priority is that you enjoy the ride at any level.

Completely rude and condescending attitude. I explained I was looking for a kickstand for a Cannondale mountain bike. I tried showing him pictures so he (Eric) could see I have rear brakes on one side of the rear and gears on the other. He brought me a universal type kickstand and said that it would work. If he had come closer to look at the photo on my phone (stayed like 8 feet from me the whole time) or asked me to hand him the phone, maybe I wouldnt have wasted a trip hime to put on a kickstand I now have to waste time going back to deal with that attitude. I really hope Trout is avaible next time. What a disappointing experience today. Love to add some explicit comments for Eric to enjoy I hope he can at least read between the lines..

We love this place. We bought our two bikes from them, and they have taken care of us since. The repairs are exact. No services are ever added on that are not needed. Today we went in to get our gears tuned. We were greeted with a big smile, a genuine one. Watching him adjust the gears was like watching a surgeon work. What would have taken me an hour, took him a matter of minutes. A lot of people try and do their own maintenance. I leave it to the pros. If Im risking going 40mph downhill, I want the bike dialed in. We highly recommend this shop.

I was visiting a friend in Olympia for my vacation. I had a dream to rent a bike I couldnt probably afford to own. They had exactly what I needed, fair prices, and made sure I didnt leave without some great advice. Also it is very important to mention that other bike store in the area dont bother to offer this bike rental service.

Great bicycle shop, I enjoy shopping at Joy Ride, even in the time of Covid 19. The staff at Joy Ride is a well oiled machine. They have made great adjustments to the times we now live in. I shopped in person but I knew what I wanted and Eric got me processed and on my way in a few minutes. I did wait under the tent. They have a good web site so it is easy to shop on their site, you can even call your order in and they will have it ready for pickup when you can get there.

My sister and I are both looking to get bikes. We stop by there to get some advice because neither of us has really ridden a bike in close to 30 years. The salesperson was very informative, very helpful, non judgmental, and there was no pressure. We both got to try out the bikes that suited us. We found out they offer layaway and plan to be back.

Extremely disappointed. Recently our 7 year old has been saving for a new bike. He finally reached his goal and was super excited. My husband called joy for bikes before he headed over to the store and asked a few questions. My husband and my 7 year old son arrived at the store. We’re not greeted my husband figured maybe they were busy. So he and my son looked at a few bikes sat on a few. At this point were still not helped or even acknowledged. Definitely not good for business and shame on the worker who answered the phone when my husband called prior to driving all the way to your store. This establishment definitely needs some serious work in customer service. Needless to say my husband and a very sad 7 year old little boy walked out.

Ive bought two bikes from them and been there numerous times. Great guys give great advice, will never lead you stray and point you to the bike thats right for you. Was really happy on the latest buy of a bike for my 2-year old with their advice to skip a tricycle. He loves it.This is an awesome local bicycle shop thats fully stocked and unlikely to send you elsewhere for parts or service due to lack of stock.

Derek and crew are amazing! I blew a tire out while touring the Olympic 420 route last weekend and Derek was a life saver. He met me at the shop early Sunday morning to set me up with a new tire and sealant. Wouldnt take any compensation -- he just wanted to help a brother out. I highly recommend Joy Ride Bikes! I will definitely be back the next time Im in town.

Hands down the best bike shop Ive been to! They have great inventory at very fair prices. But what really impressed me was the staff and their family like mentality, they were very friendly, respectable and even remembered my name on a later visit. On top of all that, Ive found that they are very involved in the community and provide little get togethers for the local riders. I got a new bike to ride with my son and even made some friends in the process!!

Joy Ride is the BEST. While cutting my teeth as a new bike mechanic they readily shared knowledge with me, gave me tips and tricks and never tried to sell me something I didnt need. These guys are pros and all around decent folks. HARD TO FIND!

Came roll in today on a flat, had a spare tube with me, asked if they could replace it, they were very accommodating & affordable seeing as I have three wheels and not two, so not their typical cyclist!!! Im sad to say I neglected my bike for many years. I finally took it out, deciding to get it road worthy, and it was just beyond what I could fix myself. The folks at Joy Ride were wonderful in hearing me out and fitting the repairs into their busy schedule. They answered every question I had and even gave me some great suggestions for trails now that its in tiptop shape.

We took our old mountain bike in expecting it would need a new wheel, they knew immediately how to fix it. A full tune up and it will be like new. We are somewhat illiterate when it comes to bikes, but Trout was so nice he acted like we werent stupid at all. Love the shop its amazing, so much to look at.

To be honest, Ive never fixed a bike part once in my life. I recently got a project bike and steeled myself to visit this local bike shop, thinking Id be in over my head and everyone there would know it (and treat me accordingly). I could not have been any more wrong! This place was AMAZING! (If I could type in something more emphatic than caps, I would). The service was phenomenal, the prices were great, and the staff was super knowledgeable. This is the only bike shop well be using from now on. If you need bike parts, repairs, etc - I recommend this shop.

I recently brought in a road and tri bike to have them tuned up and ready for our New Years resolutions. A fine gentleman named Trout helped us at the service desk and gave our bikes an inspection and recommended the appropriate service. They had the bikes turned around in a couple days and were very communicative and proactive. Great store to take family bikes or high end road bikes with fantastic customer service. The service was excellent and Ill be going back as a repeat customer.

I started going to Joy Ride because they are across the street from my house. After several years though I would be willing to travel to get to them. They are the most honest bike shop I have ever used and they always give the best customer service. The merchandise is always the best quality. As another person said, Wal-Mart and Target may be cheaper, but cheap merchandise and customer service always ends up costing me more in the long run. Go to Joy Ride for quality!

I dropped in to ask what I could get to improve my ride on the bumps of the roads and bike paths around town (chip seal and the asphalt over tree roots on the Chehalis Western Bike/foot/horse trail). Will suggested fatter tires and lower inflation pressures on the tires I already have. He didnt try to sell me a new bike. He even recommended a smartphone app that could tell me the optimum tire inflation pressure for me, my bike and my tire size.My bikes rear wheel makes a noise. Will said, bring it in, well tell you if its rideable and if so well give you a day when you can bring it in and well have it back for you the next day. What a great way to serve riders!I downloaded the app, adjusted my tire pressure and went for a ride. After 40 miles, over smooth and bumpy stuff, I was totally sold on Joy Ride Bikes.This should be on your go-to list of bike shops!

So glad we found this place. They tuned up our bikes like a boss and gave us a bike map to check out all the trails in the area. Super friendly, skilled and extremely helpful employees makes this shop our new goto for our bike needs.

Poor customer service. I explained I would be coming from an hour a way and wanted to schedule my bike for some adjustment on the derailleurs and have an odometer purchased and installed. He refused to schedule a time for me. He insisted I had to drop the bike for evaluation and then if it needed more than a 5 minute tweak I would have to bring it back, so 4 hours of driving because they dont care about customer service. I will never do business with them and will advise anyone who asks not to go there.

I bought a cheap (NOT from J.R.) bicycle (it was what I could afford at the time). the bike fit me well but had some issues. I took my cheap bike into them when the crank bearings failed. the repair was timely and the bike felt better than it did. a few add-ons later and it was more functional. then the rear derailleur came apart. this twisted up the chain and threatened damage to the wheel. luckily the spokes were undamaged. the wait time was a bit on the long side at 7 days but the repaired bike was returned and again felt smoother than it did. each time Ive been in there the repair costs have been very reasonable. parts costs have been within pennies of buying the needed pieces online and labor has always felt extremely reasonable.

Joyride has the best bike service vs going into a normal store like toys r us. I had changed my flat I tried to get my rim on than got sick of doing it than went there asked if they would do it and asked how much for a new tube and to put it on its 17 all together. But I was lucky enough to at least to tempt to get it on good enough to get it there and back. Cant really beat a friendly environment.

Dragged my old bike out of storage and rolled it into their shop today, and inside of 5 minutes they had it on a rack, put the tire pressure back to spec, checked gear and chain conditions, got the handlebars and seat set properly for my height, and wished me a great day, all at no charge. Never been in before but we will definitely be back to spend money next time!

Run by a group of the most pretentious hipsters Ive ever met. On 3 seperate occasions I tried to get parts to either improve or fix my bike and was met with insults and the only suggestion was to buy a brand new bike. Oh Im sorry to bother you over a set of new peddles Ill have to pass on replacing my bike, thanks for the condescending attitude though. Place is an absolute joke. Wish I could rate with negative 5 stars.

This shop rocks! Yes, they are friendly, but they are also very knowledgeable. I got tired of stumping other shops on mountain bike specific items. These guys just grab the parts from the in shop supplies that others spend weeks ordering. The wheels that they built up for me are still true years later . . .

New to the area & our movers were not gentle with my bike. I read the reviews, talked to a couple of folks and walked into Joy Bike Rides. was greeted immediately (similes were very welcoming). I explained my difficulty and was taken immediately to speak with Trout. Trout listened, took a look at the bike and did whatever magic he does and said working well. Explained what was done improperly before and yes, the movers were less than but okay now. He gave me a trail map of my area, steered me toward some social rides and sent me on my way. Prices seemed quite reasonable and I definitely think I found my shop & mechanic iin Lacey ....... Joy Bike Rides!
