I was introduced to this workshop and I am disappointed they could not fix my car after spending about $1350. The old man at the front desk was not truthful enough to tell me he couldn’t figure out the issues with the car. Rather, he kept changing different parts and charging me for the labor. At the end, they could not fix the issues. My cooling fan continuously runs on high; I was told the fan was bad, I paid for this and the problem was not solved. Then I was offered to possibly diagnose & change the PCM for another outrageous quote. I took my car out of the workshop because I was told the issue has been resolved only to realize later that the fuse for the fan was unplugged to make it look like they got the problem fixed. I did not notice this earlier cos it was in winter. The whole fan and cooling issues resurfaced again in spring towards summer. It is so disheartening that this could be said of this workshop. I think it’s important You let the customers know you cannot fix a car instead of draining them of their money. Its best if you rectify the main problem of a car rather than meandering around to get more money out of the customer. Also, please to do a full diagnostic when a car is brought to your workshop. Avoid disjointed diagnostics because you want to get more money. From the recommendation, they seem to be good at what they do in the past, but not sure if they still got the experts to sustain their competence. All they want now is money and I think they are good at getting it. Thanks for sucking my $1350 out of me, I feel cheated each time I recall this incident with B&M.
Very good place to take your car get oil changed and brakes you need no tires they have any size you want
Great work on my vehicle with a good turn around time. I would recommend a better system of communicating what needed to be done with the vehicle as I had to describe what was wrong with my vehicle 3 times to 3 different people.
I feel great knowing my daughter lives there in Lafayette Indiana and the people are so nice and patient w us about her car. Mark is wonderful and explained what he did to car daughter likes B and M .thank you all Jennifer sigafoose
Very good survive.
B&M is the only electrical automotive business that I trust to get the job done right at a fair price. Would highly recommend!
Friendly staff. Got job done quick.
This place is the real deal! This is one of the few places that have gone to and felt like I was talking to an expert. Well done B&M!
Great customer service with affordable pricing.
I wanted to write a quick review to let you know how much Mark and his team go out of their way to help with some unique electrical issues that I have encountered with different vehicles over the years. They are willing to spend their time and deep knowledge of automotive electrical to help solve problems. You can count on B&M to help figure out challenges that other shops would not touch.
I have used B&M quite often for electrical issues and parts. If you can’t figure it out, they will!! The customer service is pretty good. The one thing I will tell you is with this place, you definitely pay for what you get!
Fixed my Tahoe right up
Great place and excellent work. Friendly staff and very helpful!
They were quick and efficient in servicing my car and gave a written recommendation which was honored by Firestone.
Alternator went out. Called B&M electric and they told me to come in. They installed it immediately. It was excellent service! They put it on and we was right on our way in less than an hour!! 👌👏
I highly recommend anything electrical of your car go to this place
Took my truck in because of electrical issues I couldn’t place. They charged me $250 and my truck still has the same issue. I told them I had replaced my alternator and my battery was fairly new. My truck at lower rpms was causing the blower and lights to fade. I told them this was the issue and they said my battery was bad and replaced it and a headlight. My truck still has the same issue and I’m out $250 dollars for a $75 repair. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! Don’t be fooled by fake reviews on here, they will pretty much rob you. Horrible experience and terrible customer service. My grandmother took her car in to have her power window fixed and her oil changed. They charged her $600 and to top it off when my dad took her to pick it up they hadn’t even changed the oil yet! These people make me sick!
Very knowledgeable staff
This company simply doesnt care about your business, or, you time constraints. I wouldnt recommend this company for service to your car. I was not pleased with the way I was treated. Got up earlier per their request and then had to sit and wait in car and no one showed up to help me. End of story.
Low speed heater fan control quit working. Went for an estimate. Cost me $55 for a estimate of $450+. Went to another local mechanic who checked it, gave me part number at Oreillys. I bought the part, and he installed it for $20. Whole job cost less than the estimate from B&M. Sad.
They do good work at a reasonable price
I am the owner of Auto Express and B&M services cars for us to prep them for sale on a daily basis. They have great mechanics and very reasonable prices. I would recommend them for all your auto repairs!
Terrible, bad customer service. No communication whatsoever. Kept my car for 2 months and heard nothing from them. Wouldnt return my calls. I had to go down there and speak to them, emailing what needed to be done. Even after that, they didnt follow any of my instructions and charged me for parts and labor I never requested. Just a nightmare of an operation they run.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.
While the work itself was not bad, this is the most expensive auto place I have ever been. They charge $100 an hour, and have absolutely no sense of urgency about them to get the job done quickly. Their mindset seems to be, we can take a full hour to fix this problem where it should be we need to fix this as quickly as possible. The first time I came in, I needed my tail light circuit board and wiring clip replaced. They took a full hour to replace the board, and check on my other turn signals to make sure they worked. When I came back in for the 2nd time (they found a problem with the other tail light) they took 45 minutes (started half an hour after my appointment was to begin) to do the exact same repair on the other side. They then charged me for a full hour of work. To top it all off, after they finished the repair, they left my car running and unlocked in the front parking lot while they finished writing up the bill. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST COMING HERE. They are insanely overpriced and have absolutely no motivation to do well by their customers. If I had ANY other choice in getting my repair (I could not find another place in Lafayette that worked on corroded wiring) I would have gone elsewhere.
Very efficient, great people!
Fast service competitive prices.. what more could you want? i hope not to come back but if i have to i will. you should too.
Always great service.
Ive had nothing but good experiences here. Over the years Ive pulled several failing alternators and starters and brought them in for overhaul. Most recently they diagnosed a bad alternator pulley. I couldnt get the alternator out myself, due to hidden bolts and zero clearance, so I had them do the whole job. Sure, they charge for their time, and expect to cover costs and make a profit. Whats wrong with that?
Had a tough issue, they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Would go here for anything auto related.
Everything i needed in one location
Excellent service. The owner was very nice and very helpfull.
They took forever to fix my car and I am not being dramatic it was 3 months!! That is not why i am leaving a bad review. I took my car to them with a bad sunroof they left my car outside and destroyed my interior of my car. I took it to a real electrician and for half the price found out what was wrong. He handed a box of wires and old security system that was in my car. Which when i gave my car to him in lafayette I told him I bought the car and it had an system in at one time and was probably ripped out when they sold the car. He didnt even look!! My problem with my fuel pump was incorrect placement of wires.
The quality of work here Is fair but their pricing is horrendous. I needed a hose crimped for a pressure line, $80 freaking dollars... I could get a whole brand new line for less then that... I will not be going back and will be suggesting that others find somewhere else.
A great locally owned business
**NEARLY SCAMMED!**-Had my car there for half a day after having the engine not start the night before. Called to check on the progress and the idiot mechanic said I dont know what to do with it. Literally didnt even try to call me and ask what was wrong-Charged me $44.00 for half an hour of inspection in which he told me that my battery was dead and my cords were burnt. Later took the car to Autozone and found NONE of those things to be true.-Originally said the repair would cause $198.00 but after mentioning that I knew of other places that did it cheaper, the mechanic miraculously said the price was only $152.00
Excellent prompt and professional service. Very good!
Found the part I couldnt find anywhere else!
So, let me tell you my experience with b&m electric....I asked them to fix an issue I was having with my gauges in a Ford Focus 03.They not only failed to address the problem, but decided to replace my battery (with a POS Deka) and charge me 200 dollars. In addition to this, and the invoice will read: Alternator works well at 150amps 14.6V, which, I later found out when the battery exploded in my car, the alternator should only be putting out between 105-110 amps. They didnt fix the problem which I originally brought in the car for, but they put the car back on the road with an alternator that was overcharging my battery (which they took it upon themselves to replace). And then charged me for it!They refused to take any responsibility or offer a refund or anything! This is honestly the worst service Ive ever had from a business in my life! They even cussed over the phone when I tried to address the issue, and told me it wasnt their problem, and that there was nothing wrong with the car (so then why did you change the battery and charge me 200 bucks for nothing???)I would suggest going to a bigger business that cares about accountability and customer safety!!!
Too expensive do not recommend to anyone.
These guys are professionals. The work they did on my Jeep couldnt have been done better anywhere else.
Good service..
The quoted me an amount at first contacting them, but when we called they upped the quote, also said my car was ready but when we got there they said they hadnt changed the oil yet. Needless to say, i wont be going there. My grandson also had a bad experience there. He isnt going back there and neither is my son.
Very disappointing experience. Wrong diagnosis on our 2006 Honda Odyssey air conditioner issue. Charged way too much as well!
Was an amaing place to take electronic devices to get repairs
Always great service here
Very helpful
