I was dumbfounded by the lack of intelligence the customer service worker Jason provided. When I came in for help to buy something, he just stood there being most unhelpful. The workers should be trained on the supplies this place sells or at least should be trait in faking politeness.

For whatever reason, literally everything I have wanted to pick up from west marine is available in large numbers at the Houma location, but nowhere to be found at the Lafayette store. This has been the case for more than a few items ranging from sunglasses, to boots, to pull behind floats. It’s unfortunate, because the store would get a lot of business from me if they would just keep more stock on hand. I do not want to come into the store and have to order a product that should be stocked. This unfortunately is why more and more people are making online purchases.

Well terribly I have to say the return policy is horrible and full of lies. I purchased a razor 2 rider tube to tow behind my jon boat and when I took it out the box inflated it and went to hook it up I realized yeah this isnt going to work because I have a surface drive and the tow ropes will get caught up in my propeller, so I went return the rope at walmart and the tube back to west marine. Well cashier Yvette refused to refund my money because I already opened the box and aired it up on my shop conceret!!! She basically told me to go sell it on the internet and west marine will never take it back because its used and they cant sell it!!!!!! Save your money do not support this locally owned business go buy from another online company 🤬

Staff has no clue about any electronic devises. Need to be trained on all units sold at store... bought offline store lost business because of lack of knowledge. Just close the store.

Over priced but if you need it quick, they probably have it for your boat.
