Great Time Fishing @ point Aux Chenes
We went on an afternoon kayaking trip to Lake Martin with Pack & Paddle and our guide Mike. We had a great time--the lake is absolutely beautiful and Mike helped point out different birds and shared information on the lake and the surrounding area. If youre looking to kayak near Lafayette, I highly recommend checking out Pack & Paddle!

Super awesome shop! the people are very nice, they seemed to actually enjoy talking with their customers about camping trips and the like. they’ve got name brands clothing and equipment (tents,kayaks,paddle boards, hiking shoes, etc) Can’t wait to be able to go back!
Visit this store. Buy a Christmas present. Heehee. No I dont own it but every time I go in here I can find something interesting at a good price point and I get asked where did you find that? This time it was a grey belt with mountains woven in that states most comfortable in the world. Hubby is testing that out. Ski was very knowledgeable on the kayak I was looking for with my intended purpose and for the specific fish Im targeting with explicit detail on differences from one boat to another as operation and what it can and cant do. Was able to reccomend the best boat for my body type and height to enjoy time on water.

Wow!! such great people who work here! today I purchased a solo skiff. ski and Scott where absolutely amazing at there job along with the staff. Every staff member gave me a greeting yes every one! loved my experience with pack and paddle they will be my number one spot to go to for any kayak or skiff needs. I will definitely take that 2 hr trip to pack and paddle because I know I would get Premium service thanks again
I called ahead and spoke to John about my upcoming journey to work in Wyoming during the winter. He was absolutely without a doubt exceptionally helpful in getting me geared up. Being prepared is crucial and John was a perfect local resource to do that. I could never get that level of service at Academy or Dicks or anywhere for that matter. Highly recommended.

Love this store - its the central part of the outdoor community in southern Lafayette and well known and respected by all who live here. The staff are hugely outgoing, professional and a joy to visit with and the environment and the vibe of the store itself rivals that of any outdoor store globally (in my humble experience). Always a pleasure to visit there - the selection and quality of the equipment and the support and knowledge is second to none and should be supported and cherished in these days of convenience shopping.
Bought a Warbonnet camping hammock here and got a detailed explanation on anything and everything about it and all the gear to complete the mission. Fantastic shop, fantastic staff. If youve never been in this shop, its a true gem.

We came in wanting to do a multi-day kayaking trip through the Atchafalaya but without maps or any sort of route planned. John walked us through a route that he loves, and helped us select the gear that we needed. Paddling through the cypress trees in Lake Fausse was one of the highlights of all the paddles that we have done. Thank you pack & paddle, all the staff, and particularly thank you John for all your help and enthusiasm!
Higher quality 3 season outdoor clothing, gear and accessories. The staff is both super friendly and super knowledgeable. Great paddling and fishing excursions. Great selection of paddling and fishing gear. You will pay a little more, but worth it.

Doesnt take very long to realize how passionate everyone seems to be at Pack & Paddle. It is rare to see such enthusiasm and passion about products that are being offered. Everyone seems to be knowledgeable and extremely helpful in offering advice and guidance. Much more of a personal feel than any other outdoor products store I have visited.
Outstanding outfitter for nature related activities. Massive paddle-craft selection with knowledgeable staff throughout the store (owner often on hand). The best thing about this store is probably all the events and opportunities offered throughout the year, both at the store and around the area. I wish I lived closer to visit more often. I didnt visit the parking lot in back, but the small one in front can be a real hassle during peak times.
My favorite outdoor gear store. The selection of kayaks is unsurpassed. If you are older these are the kayaks for you. They cost a bit more but it wo t kill your back sitting in one all day. The ability to try before you buy every Saturday is what made me a lifetime customer. The staff in very knowledgeable and I like they professionally install what they sell.

One of my favorite places, hands down. Im from New Orleans and I come here for all my gear needs. These people are great. They will work with you for however long it takes to find the right stuff, are extremely knowledgeable about local areas and all types of gear, and create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome to geek out about the sports we all love. The prices are fair and come with a lot of expert advice. They also have excellent sales - the clearance stuff has prices as good as REI garage sales. Theyve helped me prep for several backpacking trips. Many thanks to the crew here who really do the job right!
Ive shopped at Pack & Paddle for years and made many calls to them for consultation on different items. It has been a pleasure to deal with everyone there. If they dont know something that you have a question about, they quickly find the answer. The staff is very knowledgeable and many of them involved with the products on a personal basis. My go to place for camping and kayaking needs!

My first impression was calling to ask questions...Mason was so friendly and knowledgeable. He spoke without rushing me to get off the phone...today my friend and I went in to look at kayaks...The staff was awesome...Mason and Sky were amazing...Sky went out of her way to get me candy and water for a lil diabetic episode..we will definitely be back...now i know how they have been in business for so long

Ability to try out multiple kayaks on Saturdays, that was why we drove 6 hours to Pack and Paddle. After almost a year locally trying to get them to setup a time for us to demo the kayaks, we gave up. Luckily we found Pack and Paddle. They took care of everything, had a large selection of colors and models, and even installed the bars and loaded the kayaks on our roof rack in the rain. Try before you buy is so important. We researched for a long time, we did not buy what we thought we wanted before the demo. The weight, maneuverability, and features while on the water changed our mind. So thankful for Pack and Paddle.

Our first visit was great. Staff is talkative and passionate about all things outdoors. One guy, Mason, explained what the Pack&Paddle is and what they have to offer. They appear to have alot to offer the adventurer.
Merchandise is a little pricey but you will definitely get your moneys worth. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Ohh and seeing that I touched on prices, I would have to say that theyre very competitive, even to the prices I have found online.

Bit the bullet on not 1 but 2 Hobie Kayaks today! Got the 2020 Pro Angler 14 w/ the new Mirage 360 drive for myself with enough attachments, thingamabobs and whatchamacallits to control the International Space Station. Hope they like fishing up there. My lovely wife will receive a Hobie Compass with the Bimini top, cup holder, martini bar, iPad attachment and built in wifi. If only those last things were true...... Seriously, Eli Braud and Scott Bienvenu spent the better part of 6 hours taking me through the process, discussing options, attachment and electronics. We talked about where and how I wanted to fish. Eli started the process and after 3 hours we had a list to go by. They answered all my questions and gave me honest opinions, most of which I went with. I never felt pressured to buy anything and walked away with way more knowledge than I came in with, as well as a few extra gizmos I didn’t know I needed. With financing we had a few hiccups but managed to get them quieted relatively quickly. Scott pecked at the keyboard till his fingers were bleeding and still had to makes a couple calls to get the application straight. In the end we have 12 months no interest. Still a few things I want to get for both Kayaks. That will just have to wait until I pick my wife’s Compass up Sunday. Best case for my PA14 with 360 drive is first week of October. To me it is well worth the wait having been treated so fair and respectfully by Eli and Scott. These guys want your business. Give them a chance and they will earn it.

All time fave in Lafayette. If you go outside, ever in your life, swing by Pack & Paddle. If you need shoes or sandals, go to P&P-especially if you are having foot, knee or back probs as the lines they carry are great helps with those problems. They have the best gear for camping, climbing, kayaks, canoes...AND for yard swings, ukeleles, the cutest clothes...GREAT SOURCE FOR STOCKING STUFFERS!!!
I really love the store it has many of the central items that you need for kayaking and backpacking. They also have a lot of items that you would not find in big box stores. They have a very friendly staff and are really knowledgeable when it comes to the outdoors

The ONLY place to get your hiking and paddling gear. It is one of the truely local stores, and it shows in the Customer Service. Sure, some of the things you can get cheaper elsewhere, but you wont get the personalized service you get at Pack and Paddle. I have 2 hobie kayaks from here and I couldnt be happier with them.

If you are new to kayak fishing this is a GREAT place to buy from. Me and my fiancé had the chance to demo out many kayaks and the staff is by far worth the 2 hour drive we took this morning. I was able to ask questions and everybody could thoroughly answer them. Eli and Skee are the two staff members that we dealt with and they didnt try to upsell us to more expensive kayaks out of our budget. I will be going back for all of my fishing and kayak needs. The 2 hour drive is very worth it. 5 stars hands down.

This place was absolutely phenomenal. I have never experinced customer service as exceptional as I did at Pack and Paddle. My expectations were met and exceeded. Our sales associate Eli was so patient with our questions and never made us feel rushed. We spent close to 4 hours demoing kayaks and having him explain every feature of them to us and never once did he get annoyed!!! Needless to say we found our babies and purchased them!! We will drive the 2 hours from hammond to Pack and Paddle for all our kayak needs from this point on. Great job yall!
