Tucked in alittle corner you will find The Gypsy Market. Just to little you the parking is alittle trick so you best bet is the park in the lot in front of the store. When you walk in you are greeted with a warm smile and flow of warm happy energy. The store is quite cozy but it is filled with a lot of cool and unique items along with your necessary witchy supplies. I picked up some lavender/sage smudge stick that smelled so delightful and wonderful incense. She had some nice hand drums and shakers but I had to be good on this trip because I was on a budget.I know next time I will be going more crazy with buying items.

The staff was so nice even after i embarassed myself lol, i plan on going back this weekend with a friend !! awesome selection and it was so calming even just walking around the store :)

This place was ridiculous. I had to damn near force the staff to speak to me. Also, you would hear theres a good selection over at Barnes and Noble every time a customer asked for something.

I had been loyal to your shop for about 7 years, going whenever I had the money to do so. The experience was always great and the workers were kind so I told many of my friends about it over the years also.Unfortunately months ago I went for the last time. I was looking at the sterling silver rings as I do most times and had brought my friend with me for her first time being in the shop.Once we made our selections the woman came back and accused us of stealing one of the rings. She went on for about 20 minutes falsely accusing me and my friend even after we voluntarily emptied our wallets (the only thing we brought in with us), doing the most to show her we didn’t steal anything.She continued to treat us awful and make comments calling us thiefs INFRONT of customers; even when we still decided to buy the items we had already picked out.We were spending about $100 each even before she started accusing us and it was one of the most uncomfortable/upsetting experiences and the customers around were clearly uncomfortable with how the one worker was acting.The other worker was kind and honestly looked embarrassed as well as she was checking us out.That being said, I feel very upset that it happened because I was a loyal customer for so long, BUT I am more than happy to spend my time and money at another local shop 🤍🧿.

This place has been my go to for all of my spiritual and esoteric needs. A great place to get gifts. I always love the smell of all those incense.

Bad vibes. None of the staff were in good moods except for the young woman stocking shelves. Service was poor due to short snippets disguised as answers.

Unfortunately there are only certain employees that are friendly and they’re a really negative energy in the shop, even when the friendly people are there. They have some decent things but there’s definitely something off about the atmosphere

Traveling from Florida to Texas. Checked out this place during our stop in Lafayette and as soon as you walk in the door a since of a magical welcoming embraces you. It’s difficult to find the words to fully explain how I felt. The nearest but still not close to being an equivalent example I can give is like a kid with free access to a toy store. They lady was kind and helpful. She searched images of a couple decks she had that I was interested and gave some knowledge on a few things. I got there a little after 5 and they close at 5:30. Putting my travel off schedule a few so I can go back in the morning to have a longer intact and see what else I’d like to get. I wish there was a bigger rating. This place exceeds it.

Always excellent service with a knowledgeable staff. Our most recent trip there was for a specific reason and the red headed lady(who was very polite) picked up on it right away. Their earth stones are very nice with very good pricing. We will continue to do business with them for all of our earth stone, sage, and other needs. These guys are the best around from Lafayette to New Orleans. If I could give more than five stars I would but here is an additional 10/10 dont change a thing guys.

Have a nice variety of things for a decent price, they have a good selection of candles and novena candles. At the moment they dont have any plain 7 day candles but they do have multi colored tapered candles. Great occult shop full of my favorite things...books!!!!

Small store but lots of interesting and beautiful items

Very friendly staff and an awesome selection. I used to go to Euphoria on Congress like 20 years ago and this has been the go to place every since they closed. Not only do they have incense, candles, vintage clothing, jewelry, herbs, but they also have some really good books. The selection is awesome, but on a side note, the actual store is in desperate need of remodeling. Im a home inspector, so I could not help but notice, but that shouldnt deter anyone from going shop there.

Always a wonderful place.. we can spend hours in there looking, touching, and smelling things. No one rushes you so you can spend time and find what calls you. The people there are helpful and if they dont know the answer to a question the dont pretend they do. And contrary to an earlierr comment they are very friendly and let their customers have space.

Had some nice things but I felt out of place asking questions and Im just learning about Crystals. I wish the staff would have been a little nicer. I had alot of things I was interested in but didnt feel comfortable asking the questions I needed to.

Wonderful place full of magical things but the lady working there when i visited was quite sharp and rude. Will visit again with hopefully a better customer service experience.

Upon my hearing about this store, I had two reactions:First- That amazing! I have to go there ASAPSecond- How had it taken so long for me to have heard about it?!My expectations were at first met and quickly exceeded. The stock is faced clearly and positioned in such a way that invites exploration, and the owner was friendly and kept with the inviting vibe. Just like I had two initial reactions, Gypsy Market has two distinct categories. New Age (magic of many varieties) and classic hippie. With chakkra tuners and Bob Marley merchandise sitting nicely in their designated sections, they somehow blend beautifully in one seamless experience.With the magic items, everything is of high quality and beautiful. If youre Pagan, Wiccan, inclined to the east, mystical, or just find the aesthetic pretty, there will be something for you on the Market shelves or display cases. I myself have some knowledge about these items, but needed help with the details. The owner easily accommodated (and was generally attentive to any questions or needs that I had), and the store as well with a plethora of explanatory signs that disambiguate well. Crystals, jewelry, tarot, daggers, and incense-- the full gambit feels accessible for beginners, experts, and the agnostically inclined.Although I wouldnt typically categorize my fashion sense as hippie (more of a Kim Kardashian XXL kinda person), there were so many pieces that were so classic I couldnt not love them. Pants, shawls, and shoes that would make anyone feel at home listening to Bob Marley or Joni Mitchel in the back of that Big Yellow Taxi.While I wanted to buy up half the stock, I kept my purchase modest and bought a Black Onyx pendant held by wire and along with it learned so much about it and its adjacent crystals. She personally tied the chord for the necklace and lit what I believe was sage beneath it, imbuing it with good fortune.Not only will I be coming back, I can and will easily recommend this store to my friends!

The owner was very polite and helpful. Many things to choose from and a nice atmosphere.

Besides the racist name, the store is overall horrible. Theyre selection maybe big, but its all very low quality items with both material and make. Their tarot cards are all open and probably used (a big mistake in tarot reading). The staff is also very rude; they expect you to already know the inside of the store and will not answer even the most basic of questions. The parking lot is also all gravel with potholes and mud pits.

Walked in right before closing to see if I wanted to fight traffic the next day to visit after work and was rudely told to leave and that she would kick my out. I won’t be coming back to this shop ever!!!
