Usually pretty slow to get through check out since most people there are buying a full shopping cart of stuff. Other than that the prices and employees are great! Great place to stock up on things. Skip it if you are trying to grab a couple things fast.
Just fine. Good deals, but off brands
Great pizzas and store brand products. Considering theyre a sister company to trader Joes.. not bad at all. Carry a quarter for the shopping cart, and get your own grocery bags.
Wow! This is probably the best Aldi that I have been to. It is organized a little different from the previous Aldis that I have been to but it was very clean and well kept. I absolutely love shopping here. I got more food then I normally do and when I went to the checkout and my total was way less then I expected it to be. Would definetly recommend shopping here.
Great GERMAN chain. Love the shopping cart quarter in to use and quarter back when u put back where it came from. Would love 2 c others such as Costco and Walmart follow.
Its like Walmart but cheaper. Would definitely reccomend to a college student or someone looking to shop on a budget. I always forget to bring a quarter though 🤣 thankfully the store clerks are kind and will lend you one if you need it! The store was clean and employees are very friendly.
Great prices and produce. Have to use a quarter to get a shopping cart and return it to retrieve your quarter. The place is a comfortable size... not too huge so it is fast finding things. If you dont want to bag your own groceries pay for a shopping bag.
I have spent few years in Germany, and I was curious to see Aldi started opening stores in the United States. The general layout of the store is similar to a real German Aldi, but it seems presentation is a little more sophisticated. Unfortunately prices are much higher than the ones in Germany for similar items but what can you do - California is expensive. True to the German counterpart, lines at the cashier are pretty long. However the worst part (and the reason I gave only three stars for an otherwise fine store) is that they brought over the worst part of an European Supermarket: you have to use a coin, specifically a quarter, to be able to use a cart. In practice, they try to tell their potential customers not to shop there by annoying them even before they enter the store. I will not return.
This location treats their employees with disrespect. Very awkward trying to shop for groceries when theres literally someone being scolded aggressively right in front of me.
I used to shop in Aldi a lot when I lived in Fountain Valley. The workers there were very friendly and helpful, food were fresh and store was clean. This Aldi is really the opposite of the one I used to go. Workers are rude and manager hates his job. When people ask him questions, he just walked away like he didn’t hear anything or said “go talk to others.”Store is massy and the food... well... depends on how lucky you were. I am shopping with other grocery stores now, dont want to waste my time in this place.
Its sad the services they provide, theres not plastic bag for you eput the vegetable, like tomatoes, fruit, or anything that you want to buy.
Best grocery store around. cant beat the prices, just enough selection, easy to navigate. so happy I found this place - saves me hundreds a month on groceries!
Aldi is not near me but their store has the best prices on the majority of the food items I buy like eggs, milk and produce. Chicken breasts at $1.29 lb and smoked salmon at $3.99 4 oz and really great frozen food section. Lots of novel foods like their Trader Joe brethren but with better prices.
I like coming here they have a lot of different options for food.
Not what I expected and seemed dirty I guess you get what you pay for.
I enjoy Aldi. I love the savings and generally appreciate the quality of the items they sell. This particular location is a bit of a toss up though. It’s located in the midst of Laguna Woods. If you know about Laguna Woods, then you will understand that there is a large elderly population that lives in this area. Be prepared to be patient in parking and shopping. The store is OK as far as Aldis go. They frequently will be out of stock of staple items and sometimes take weeks to get it back in stock. The employees are usually friendly if approached, but there are some that seem bothered to even be checking you out at the register and just throw your fragile items like avocados and chips into the cart.If shopping here, remember to bring your patience, kindness, and of course a quarter for the cart.
Very disappointed, was our 1st & last trip. Was expecting a lot more. 😕
Better prices than Costo without sacrificing quality or having to buy larger quantities than you want or need.
Great store..focused on efficiency, price control and service
But on the first place to let everybody know out there about me Im a very truthful person the truth is all of ones me I will always tell the truth exactly I will never deceive anyone and I do not like it if anyone ever tries to lie to me I know I aint want to be in life you my mother has the same ability were slightly telepathic and we are empathic we know when will you be in lie too and we did not like it but we will not say anything but we keep quiet but concerning me and my mother we are not capable of lying or deceiving anyone we can only tell you the truth so what I have to say about certain places is the truth and about all these that was just built here in Laguna Woods I am very disappointed
Wish we had an Aldi in Seattle.
Worse grocery store I ever seen, there is no people work in this store 30 people in line for checkout and just one register is open so dissipated and dirty and unorganized
Very clean, neat and order, selective product. Really german environment. I love it and competitive price
This store is very well managed, Very clean, very organized. All people working there is helpful, polite and efficient. 👍
Always enjoyed shopping at Aldi and Lidl in Europe so Im glad this grocer is here too. Same B brands that are just as good as A brands, or sometimes better. Plenty of organic, keto and paleo choices. Im a regular
Be sure the week specials are available in your day,, I found in my case a mislead ad in the ground beef for 4th of July . Sorry and please be honest with you ads .
Great prices & product selections with both brand names & store brands. Great produce selections with good prices. Well organized merchandise.
Great prices. Does not carry major brands. I have some concerns with safety re Covid. There is no enforcement of the traffic arrows placed on the floor. About 25% of shoppers ignore them.
Similar to Grocery Outlet, things vary weekly.Basic food looks to always be available, milk, egg, cheese, almond milk, meats, veggies. They had a great deal on a variety of nuts and also whine if youre in to that.
Love this place! Great keto products!!!
Close, convenient, good prices, and staff is always helpful.
Always a good experience. Prices are low for mostly good quality stuff. Aldi seems generally cheaper than its sibling Trader Joes.
Some unusual stuff to be found at Aldi. Good prices on food if they have what you need...
Convenient, reasonable prices & they carry nearly everything I need. The staff had always been helpful & friendly. They have great COVID safety protocols, just wish customers could follow the giant arrows on the floor & wear masks properly while hovering.
Great store. Clean and well organized. Friendly helpful courteous staff. Quality products.
Good finds, great deals...
As soon as you get there its a different marketWider aisles.fewer products and self help..maybe 5 employees in the whole store 3 cashiers and great organic supply...cheaper prices..self bag. Fresh foods limited but good quality..i love the simplicity and quality products self labeled brands.
Prices are good, but carts are NOT being cleaned with disinfectant. People return them to get their quarter back, then the next person gets it. Told the manager who shrugged it off. Said there are wipes available if I wanted to clean it myself and the staff member who is supposed to be out there must have been on break! Laguna Woods location. Next to a senior community of over 18,000 people.
Cashiers are always so friendly and helpful.
Awful. Ryan, who said he was a manager was rude and rolled his eyes and laughed at my complaint and mocked me continuously. I get it. Ive worked retail. But Ive never rolled my eyes in a customers face, laughed in his face, or said, Are you going to keep complaining....? right to a customer. Thats RYAN at Laguna Woods, CA ALDI.
Great little store. Limited selection, but good products. And people seem to have gotten used to the cart token system.
Nice healthy and cheap stuff.
European based and styled grocery store. You put a quarter into the handle of the shopping cart to use one. When you put the cart back you get your quarter back. You bag your own groceries. Very good selection of items. Very good prices. Its easy to get used to the difference between a U.S. store and this one.
One of my absolute most favorite stores! You fill your cart with great stuff and when you go to check out your total is a fraction of what you expect it to be! So much for so little. But still high quality items!
Limited selection, but usually some options for most items. No baggers. Low prices.
Great selection of bread and fruits! The best prices on fresh eggs and unique cheeses. The staff arent the friendliest but I enjoy shopping at Aldi.
Bad quality Fresh food. I had to threw away avakado that I bought
Love that they import foods and desserts made in Germany 🇩🇪 !
Clean, cheap, and top quality. One of the most underrated chains in California.
My first visit. Disappointed because meat prices not much different than other stores. I also expected more overall food choices. One thing that impressed me was that checkout people get to sit in a padded office chair.
Aldi is a nice addition to my grocery store circuit. There are many things there that are considerably less expensive there than other stores. Others you have to be careful about. And sometimes the quality of their produce leaves something to be desired. But all in all its definitely worth a look.
Used to be my favorite place to shop until the homeless people out front started begging me to buy them food. I don’t mind homeless usually but this is getting out of hand. Almost every time I come here they beg me to buy them something and today they cut me in line for the bathroom and glared at me for saying no to them in the parking lot. I hate being that person but I really don’t wanna try harassed while I grocery shop :)
The checkers at this Aldi store are consistently mean and rude. The first time, I gave them the benefit of the doubt - who doesnt ever have a bad day, right? But theyre just mean every time. Dont waste your own breath at this store with common courtesies such as greeting them or thanking them.
I love Aldis! This location was super clean and fast under circumstances. Didnt have everything I was looking for but had what I needed.
Liked it. Has all essential products.
Easy to get in and out 90%. Great selection. Staff is friendly. I would recommend!
I love coming here for snacks! Great quality and prices.
Really happy with their selection of organic meats and produce! Best prices Ive come across so far :-)
The prices are decent and the aisles are wide.
Great deals, friendly staff next to a Dollar Store and city hall.
Very good store. My go to placenfor eggs milk tomatoes and avocados
This place makes me sad it usually stinks the produce is always bad and theyre always out of items
Good variety of cheese and wine, very reasonable price. Not as big as the other stores and this particular store does not have liquor license so it does not offer the famous single malt whiskey that Aldi is known for. Very clean and organized, lots of fresh produce and good daily turnaround.
Store gets crowded during rush hours, employees seem to have tough time keeping it stocked...but as good as Aldi gets anyway
I loved this place from the first visit
Great store branded market. You dont need to purchase gargantuan Costco sized products to get good prices.
Great place very good prices my new place to shop
Great prices! Wide selection! I love Aldis!
Great staff and produce selection.
Good prices and service
Great prices and fresh fruits.🍒 🍓
Nothing fancy. Ok in a pinch
First time there. Prices were extremely competitive 👍
Enjoyed how clean the location is, easy to find things ans very fast service!
I enjoy shopping at Aldi because it has various international foods, mostly private labels, and the items are reasonably priced. In the produce selection, the quality and selection are not the best, but they are priced well when stocked. Weekly deals and bargains will go fast as it’s a local favorite mini grocery store, so don’t wait too long. The store is always clean and bright; they don’t have many employees, but services are fast and friendly! Don’t forget your quarter in the shopping cart!
Excellent service and prices!
Visited Aldi for the first time today. Clearly an experience. Broad selection of interesting packaged and fresh food at very good prices. Trendy European interior. Oh, Dont forget your quarter on the way out. They have a system to deposit a quarter (25 cents) to obtain a shopping cart that is much like the luggage dollies at the airport. Fun time .. Will return.
Really like this store. Variety of items great prices too.
Nice variety, found keto icecream
Quality items at nominal rate
Love most Aldis. Staff was pleasant, selection on several things was low, and the floor by the registers was littered with papers and cardboard. Could be because of the virus issues
I had a pleasant shopping experience, and I found some great organic produce!
Cheap grocery store with great prices on avocsdos and eggs. This particular location is in Laguna Woods, which has a lot of senior citizens
Nice store. very casual, never too busy, or packed. fair prices to even cheap. big diversity. lots of imported groceries from Germany. very friendly and welcoming crew. highly recommended
There are many reasonably priced items of high quality in this store. All items are private label with a few exceptions. Dutch grained mustard can be had for around 89 cents. 12 frozen Turkey burgers can be had for 5.99. Unsalted baked peanuts are 1.59 a much better deal than planters nuts. The new selection of organic breads can be had for as little as 3.29. Many fresh items such as avocados are around 58 cents. Shop here first, not all items are organic but they are high quality especially the hazelnut dark chocolate bars.
I really like shopping here. This is a place that feels like but beats its sister company Trader Joes. They have a unique supply of well priced items from groceries to common consumer goods like paper towels, plates and seasonal.items. They sell wine and beer and have most groceries at lower cost than most grocery stores.
I seriously LOVE this grocery. Nice people, reasonable prices, good food, organics available... and random things like a Fisher Price tiny Elephant electronic piano for the little guy. Remember your reusable bags and a quarter for the shopping cart!!
Good store with low prices and a fair inventory of products that you usually will need. The people working there are helpful and nice and the complaints about the carts needing a quarter and no bagging for me is a non issue. That is in part why they offer lower pricing and saves them and us money. They do not carry a large variety of certain products but what they do have is nice quality and some really good meat selections. I am now a regular there.
Low prices. To use a shopping cart you put in a quarter. Then get it back when the cart is returned. You bag your own groceries. I was happy with the value. My trip only cost 30.00
We were avid shopper of Aldi. Starting 6-7 months ago they raised produce price almost equal to fancy stores. Meat quality was never good. We continue to go there for some selections. Now they start to put limit on quantity of low price items. We have an elderly neighbor that we shop for her. Tonight in Bristol st store they - a mean cashier and not a friendly manager told me that we can not buy 2 pack of eggs - limit is one. I told them these few items and egg are for the neighbor. I was told bring her with you next time. Making story short I returned everything we paid. Maybe they could teach them not to be so heartless and refuse to help elderly person. That was my last shopping in Aldi
Great prices and quality food. The Aldi brands are actually rather good. Today I purchased fresh blueberries at 1.29 per pint! They had strawberries for .85 for large basket and white corn at .15 an ear a few weeks ago. Can’t beat the specials! I was impressed and will be shopping at Aldis on a regular basis.
I love this store and the center. Also has items Im not able to buy at other markets. The prices are amazing and the produce is outstanding! Other stores just cost too much. At Aldi I can afford to buy the larger sizes at lower prices. Prices and quality I can afford. Than you Aldi.
Im so happy they opened an ALDI here. Its a great grocery store thats super cheap but the food is great. Theres a mix of name brand and their brands, and theyve got a bunch of organic produce (if youre into that kind of thing).
Use of a shopping cart requires a deposit if $0.25 that you get back when you return the cart. They carry high-quality basics/essentials and a shifting variety of other foods. They used to have an awesome assortment of meat substitutes but it went away. All of the non-essential foods get rotated in and out so youre never really sure theyll be carrying something youre craving.Super low prices.
