Avoid the middleman and save!Purchased a bone carved hook during vacation, was told if I had any problem with my item to bring it back they could fix it.After some time I had a problem where the lashing on my hook came loose upon my return to Maui, I went back to the store with the hope of getting this item repaired and a new lashing applied. Was told that they don’t make these and don’t known anything about repairing them. This wasn’t a low price item, so was disappointed that they were not the artist for these items.Later found a real carver that repaired my price for a modest price. This store is just a reseller of carvings found at craft fairs and swapmeet around Maui at a fraction of the price. According to local vendors companies like this buy items from local vendors and dramatically increase the price In their stores and selling them to unsuspecting tourist. In my case passing themselves off as the artist themselves but later being exposed as fakes.Avoid this place, I recommend shop around and you will find a beautiful piece direct from the artist himself at a much better price with much better service avoid the middleman!
