I have a serious fear of breathing underwater but they were so patient with me while I got acclimated. After my intro dive, I was even able to do the more advanced turtle dive (which I highly recommend as well). If you’re on the fence about booking, book 👏🏻 it 👏🏻 now 👏🏻. Diving with In2Scuba was without a doubt the coolest thing I did in Hawaii!

The wife and I wanted to do diving, and Google returned In2Scuba first, so we booked. Not disappointed even 0.02%! Sage and Deborah were amazing guides and instructors taking us to beautiful locations with abounding life and seas critters. Took the refresher course with Ty. I hadn’t dived in 5 years and felt really rusty with any skills. Ty took the time to teach us prior to getting in the water and did some skills as soon as we got in. I quickly felt comfortable and confident! My partner, who did not need a refresher, joined on the dive as well. We had a wonderful time and Ty pointed out some cool things underwater! It was a great time overall. As a solo diver on this trip, I was looking for 2 separate guided beach dives to refresh/practice my dive skills while enjoying the Maui reefs (newly certified in early 2021). My husband and I did a beach dive with Ty on our honeymoon. My husband is scuba certified and I am not. Ty made things easy to understand for me and I felt totally safe on my very first dive with him. Hes knowledgeable and trustworthy- someone you definitely want to be with when youre diving. We absolutely LOVED our Beginners scuba class in Maui with In2Scuba. Ty was an amazing and patient instructor who knows what he’s doing and made it the most incredible experience. Intro to Scuba Diving Course in Lahaina- My wife and I had a great time diving with Ty! Not only is the kind of comforting soul you want on an experience such as scuba diving for the first time, but hes also a great camera man! It was definitely worth renting a go pro with him! I finally tried Scuba diving for the first time. It was so amazing to be underwater, to see and swim with all the beauty and sea turtles galore. Debra the instructor was a great teacher and guide getting me comfortable underwater and showing us lots of wildlife. HIGHLY recommend!

My wifes first ever scuba dive was a great experience. It was also my first time in 15 years. We dove off the shore to about 20 feet in depth. It was a perfect depth for a first timer and Deborah did a great job working with us to make sure we were comfortable. We went diving for about 40 minutes and saw turtles, eels, butterfly fish, starfish, urchins, and coral as far as you could see. My favorite part was seeing a bright yellow frogfish. My wife loved hearing whales in the background. It was all very clear water too and Deborah helped get some great footage of a sea turtle swimming around.We had a great safety brief with very clean and nice equipment. Deborah was amazing and I highly recommend diving with her if you get the chance

Superb experience!! The instructor Deborah is extremely friendly, charismatic and professional. It was my first scuba experience and I felt like I was in very good hands even while feeling a little nervous. My sons really been wanting to try scuba, and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our first dive we went of airport beach and was a typical snorkel experience. Since my son enjoyed it so much our instructor Saga recommended the Mala Warf dive and I am so glad we did it. We saw 20+ sea turtles, 4 reef Sharks, eels and tons of fish in a really cool environment. Really wish I would have sprung for the Go Pro for this one. I’ve been on several dives and this was by far the best one. Sage was a great instructor, made my son feel safe and confident, and was significantly cheaper than the other companies. Can’t rate these guys high enough.

3 dives later with In2Scuba and cant wait to come back to get certified! Deborah is amazing. I did an intro dive with my parents and they ended up getting certified! Then I brought my brothers and boyfriend to do an intro dive, they had so much fun we booked the turtle and shark dive at Mala Wharf. We saw so many turtles and even saw a couple sharks! It was the most amazing experience. We are all doing our classes to come back and have Deborah certify us because she is literally the best. I cant recommend In2Scuba enough, this is the place to book if you want an amazing, safe. and educational dive!!!

Had an INCREDIBLE time!! Booked the intro dive and the turtle/shark dive. Deborah and Sage were both incredible! Sage was very great at instructing and answering all the questions of the two kids that were with us on the intro dive, and Deborah did an awesome job guiding us and the two kids on our first dive. We also had Deborah in the afternoon for the turtle/shark dive and she was great! Very enthusiastic and an overall A++ guide. Seriously, stellar, couldnt have been better. I was having equilizing issues and she was very patient in ensuring that I was okay and enjoyed the dive. Both guides were very attentive to how much oxygen we had and made safety their top priority. The dive at Mala Wharf was awesome! First day doing scuba ever and I feel like my future dives will never live up to it. 1,000,000/10 recommend.

Communicating with Ty before I landed in Maui was super easy. Ive never been diving before and prior to actually spending time on in2scubas website, I didnt quite know that I could dive before taking a course or so - so that was a welcome surprise!I did the Intro dive class at Old Airport Beach. We had a 30 min class before going into the water..there were 2 other first-time divers.Ty ensured that we were each comfortable going into the water before actually setting out on a dive. He helped me get past the pressure in my ears that I thought I may not be able to overcome! We saw a bunch of beautiful marine life. Ty always made sure we stayed close as a group and that we were each comfortable in the water..there to help us whenever we needed, helped us with pictures, all of it!I didnt have a car rental & even got a ride out to Lahaina..highly recommend Ty & in2scuba..be it your first dive or not, youre in great hands.Im going to be doing a second dive soon with Ty!

Best scuba diving experience Ive had (Ive only done about 15 dives thus far) but it was amazing! Rachel, thank you for your expert guiding and giving us an amazing tour of Mala Wharf. We saw a white tipped shark, 20+ turtles, and many fish!

A group of us found some last minute intro courses with Ty’s company and are glad we got them! He’s funny, knowledgeable and put everyone at ease as we got used to getting into the water. From what I’ve heard of other courses it’s common to see four or even five participants working with an instructor but we were at a 3:1 ratio with both Ty and a colleague of his. This made the whole experience much better! Definitely recommend his intro course.

Great dive! My wife and I are advanced open water certified, but wanted our 12 &14 yo kids to dive prior to getting certified. We are very happy with the results. Ty and crew did a great job, we felt very safe, well prepared, and had an awesome time!! Will definitely schedule again.

The most incredible experience! My husband and I honeymooned in Maui and did an intro class with Ty. We both had never been diving before and I was very nervous. I went diving with my brother, who has never dove before. I’m a certified Open water diver who has dove in Hawaiian waters before. Ty worked with my brother to almost double his bottom time on the second dive.The second dive was at Mala Wharf, and it was amazing. We saw sea turtles galore a few eels and a lot of colorful vibrant fish and one so camouflaged that me or my brother didn’t spot till Ty pointed out to us.I would highly recommend In2Scuba Diving Maui Dive Co. to certified or non-certified divers. A friend and I had a wonderful time with Ty in our intro to scuba diving class. First we called them and they were able to quickly fit us into an afternoon class. We were both half nervous and excited to try scuba diving in Maui especially since we were told multiple times we have to be strong swimmers. We of course both knew how to swim, mostly learned in the pool, but are no olympic swimmer in the ocean...As we approached their van Ty looked like a total expert from the get go (turns out hes been teaching here 20+ years!) and was patient and informative in explaining every aspect of the gear. We were taught how to actually use the gear and recover from emergency situation multiple times by repetition on the ground so that by the time we were underwater we were already comfortable performing those actions.And to the dive itself -- it was the most incredible experience! Tons of coral and colorful fish right off the shore.. and we werent even that deep. Saw a turtle too! We swam for about 38 minutes and slowly swam back up. Our course overall was made up of very smooth declines / inclines so that we never have to deal with the risk of lung or ear damages that certified divers need to learn to avoid.This experience got me excited about scuba diving. I will totally dive with Ty again if I have a chance. Thanks!

Hands down coolest experience I had in Maui. Ty and Deborah were amazing. Was our first time diving and they took their time to explain everything in detail. When we went out into the water, it was two groups of three. My girlfriend and I were with Ty and he was incredibly helpful and a fantastic teacher. I enjoyed my first time diving so much, I booked a second dive with them for that afternoon. On the second dive, we saw turtles, sharks, frogfish and moray eels. The whole experience was professional, safe and a ton of fun. Recommend to any new divers looking to explore. On top of that, the second dive they had some long term customers who continuously come back and also had only positive things to say about their experiences!

Took the introductory scuba class and had a blast. Deb was our instructor and made us feel so safe. She was attentive, had her eye on everyone constantly, and made adjustments as necessary. At airport beach, we saw a giant sea turtle, and even a morray eel, and a bunch of other colorful fish. I’d love to go scuba diving again!

This was my first experience at scuba diving. The instructors were fantastic with the newbies and the experienced divers too. We were even lucky enough to spot a turtle to swim with for a bit.

In2scuba is everything you are looking for! Our group of 5 had 3 first-timers and 2 certified divers. Ty and Rachel found the perfect balance for both levels to have a great time. The intro lesson was quick but perfectly informative. My favorite part (as a certified diver) was how they spoiled us! They set everything up and provided everything, and I just sat in place when instructed. Then they put all the equipment on me and double checked everything in seconds! So impressed! They are efficient but very thorough. We were in the water as soon as everyone was comfortable, and they treated us like adults while still keeping a very close watch for safety. Under the water Ty would take the time to work one on one with each diver to make sure it was a wonderful experience, then adjusted the dive to our ability and comfort level. Absolutely perfect experience, everything we were hoping for, plus some! Would recommend 10/10.

We booked a refresher course after a 2.5 years break of diving at the Mala Wharf in Lahaina Maui.From the first minute on our instructor Ty made us super comfortable we immediately forgot that it was such a long time ago that we went scuba diving.We felt safe and even learnt new thing, the dive was just stunning and one of the best ones we ever had!

I dove with Rachel at Dive Maui in January of this year for the Mala Wharf. She was fantastic in addition to the amazing dive we had. She was helpful throughout the entire dive from the pre-dive prep, to get getting in of the shore dive to and the actual dive. We had a wonderful experience with Rachel at In2Scuba! I finished my open water certification and my boyfriend, who is already certified, was able to join us. It was just the three of us and it was SO awesome!! She is a great, patient instructor and was very dedicated and determined to make sure it was a great experience. It was flooding in Maui this particular and against popular belief that Mala Wharf would be cloudy and not worth going, she recommended we still try because we couldalways leave if it was bad. Awesome experience for my 12 year old daughter! She’s dreamt of swimming with turtles and her dream came true. She started the morning with an introductory dive then was able to do a dive to see turtles and sharks. Her instructor Deborah was very patient and after this encounter my daughter is certain she wants to pursue getting certified in diving. If you find yourself in Maui and you’re on the fence about going scuba diving I say just do it! You definitely won’t regret it!

We had an amazing Scuba experience with Deborah. She helped us to get up to speed on Scuba (it was my first time) quickly and efficiently. We felt very eager to get in the water, we had a small group so Deborah was able to help the person in our group who was feeling nervous, while the rest of us were able to safely explore while giving Deborah the Shaka sign that everything was going great! Ty was excellent for both the refresher course that I needed and the subsequent three (3) dives. He was thorough, knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. I felt very comfortable diving with Ty. The dives were amazing and wonderful. We saw turtles, morays, gorgeous reef fish of all sorts, and reef sharks. Important caveat: The sharks are virtually harmless unless you molest them. Seeing these beautiful, magnificent creatures in their natural environment was the highlight of my entire vacation! I highly recommend Ty for scuba diving in Maui, especially if you are like me and dive infrequently.

Beautiful beach park with plenty of parking with clean bathrooms and shade. The swimming and snorkeling is great, we saw alot of fish, turtles and eels.

Rachel was our dive master/guide and she was awesome!!!! I took my 10 yrs old twins for their first dive and they had blast! Rachel was so patient in teaching from start to finish and she was such a great guide once we hit underwater! Ill start by saying I am not certified, however have dove before 2 or 3 times in the Caribbean always on the Intro to Scuba dives. It had been a few years though, so it was great to get a refresher course from Ty at Airport Beach. In my previous experiences, the intro theory portions were long, relatively dry, and (after doing it a few times now) pretty common sense. Ty began as if I had never dove before, but after watching me grasp concepts relatively quickly, I could tell that he knew what he had to go over with me and was quick and to the point. We were a group with a mix of certified and intro divers, and no one in the group felt like they had to wait an obscenely long time to get out onto the water.We got a 3 dive package, my friend whom is certified, and myself who was not. The first dive (off airport beach) was good, I was a bit nervous, and was more focused on my air than my surroundings, but Ty still got us some great up close shots of a couple Moray Eels and some colorful fish. After this dive, Ty assessed how I did and gave the thumbs up for the second and third dive to be at Black Rock and Mala Wharf a couple of days later. This is where the real fun began! Ty had passed along some tips to my buddy about breathing techniques, and that was passed down to me. I could tell at the beginning of the second dive, I wasnt treated as an intro diver anymore. Actually, he just got everyone set up with gear, better flippers (I think there was a stronger current at Black Rock) and off we went. This dive was night and day from the first. Using his tips on breathing, I was calm, and never had to worry about air. There were schools of fish of all colors, and diving around the sheer black rock cliff was just awesome! A lot more structure and life around this area. I definitely recommend Black Rock if you get a chance! The last dive, at Mala Wharf was the cherry on top. You would not think that a pier that was collapsed would be a cool thing to look at, but it created some incredible structure in the water where we could swim in, under, around and just tons of life around us. We saw possibly 20 turtles (too many for me to count), and they let you get up close and personal to the point where I could reach out and touch! Was definitely the best dive of the 3, and the progression was spot on to make the trip a memorable one.Ty knows his stuff, keeps things safe, and is always on the lookout for cool things to see. Thank you Ty, and thank you In2Scuba for making this trip a memorable one. While Im still not certified, this just pushes me closer to the direction of achieving that goal!I highly recommend, and Mahalo for everything Ty!

In2Scuba in Lahaina is a great group of people! My son and I did 3 dives with them while we spent a week on Maui. Deborah and Scott were our guides and both were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, fun and safe people to dive with. Couldn’t recommend them enough.On a side note, after our last dive I accidentally left our log books on the top of the car and lost them somewhere. I messaged Ty who runs In2Scuba and he was super helpful! Put together some log book pages with our guides signatures and info so we could still have a record of them. Nothing he had to do but he really went above and beyond to send them to us after we got back homeGreat company and great people.

They did an excellent job not only setting up the dive logistically... but they also did a great job explaining how to use the equipment, etc. The dive spots were excellent, and we saw so many things. Fantastic! Professional, safe and FUN! Highly recommend for first timers and experienced divers alike. Very chill vibe while maintaining strict protocols for safety. Went diving at Airport Beach and Mala Wharf with Deborah and the experience was amazing! Deborah is a great dive instructor and the wharf was an incredible place to dive. We saw tons of turtles and a little shark. Definitely recommend diving with this company!

We had an amazing intro dive with Deborah on Airport Beach. It was the first time for my two friends and she was so patient, kind and attentive. Truly the best instructor you can ask for! She even took some pics and video with a camera I brought. I cannot wait to come back to dive!

Ty, Rachel, and Deborah are all amazing scuba diving instructors and guides! We had a fantastic experience diving with them at various locations including Airport (Old Port) Beach, Mala Wharf, and (our first ever night dive!!) at Black Rock Beach. We will go back to them if/whenever we find ourselves diving again in Maui!

Went for the intro dive with Ty and Diane. They walked us through everything we needed to know about the dive, answered all of our questions. The groups were small, 4 each so we got plenty of personal attention and Ty pointed out the turtles, whale calls, and moray eels along the way. Sprang for the GoPro at the last minute, Ty was super helpful taking photos of us!

Ty was an excellent scuba instructor! We had the BEST time under water and saw an incredible array of coral, turtles, octopus, and so many different types of fish. I am a certified PADI diver and have worked with instructors around the world- Ty is among the best Ive worked with. This was my fiances first experience scuba diving, and he found Tys instruction to be easy to understand and follow, and he felt completely safe due to Tys extensive knowledge, as did I. In addition, Ty has a thorough knowledge of the behaviors of the animals and that helps you see the best of what the wildlife has to offer! We started with the beginner dive at Airport Beach, where Ty gave a great and thorough introductory instruction before heading to the water. We had such a great time that we returned for the Mala Wharf dive the next day which was AWESOME and a must see experience in Maui. Truly, it would be a shame to miss this. There are tons of turtles there and so much to see! Whether youve dived before or are trying for the first time, if youre looking to dive look no further, Ty is your guy!

Fantastic beach to snorkel. The floor begins to drop just a few feet from the waters edge. From there its stone, coral and a variety of fish -saw a couple of eels. The place is an obvious favorite to snorkel so there will be quite a few fellow swimmers and sun bathers by midday. Theres a decent size parking lot -unlike most beach locations (note: Black Rock has the worst parking by far. Theres something like 10 spaces at the Sheraton garage. The hotels have Kaanapali Beach landlocked to make it extremely painful to visit other than as a hotel guest.) There is a shower pole with four nozzels that will mist on you -it can be a little like trying to wash your hands at Walmart, you know... how the water shuts off a second after you put your hands under the faucet. Now, apply the Walmart water conservation policy (we-be-cheap) to a shower at the beach. In other words, be patient with folks. The pavillion house has a small mens and womens bathroom with a changing stall. Again, fantastic beach. 🤙

Our family of 4 (parents + two young teens) took an intro dive on Maui. It was an amazing experience and a memory well treasure forever. Diving was much easier than we expected thanks to Deborahs masterful instruction. And Ty was great communicating what to expect when I booked and then following up before the dive. My 13 y.o. loved it so much, he went back the next day for a second dive. We would all highly recommend In2Scuba when you want to dive Maui or just do something different and out of your comfort zone. It is WELL worth it. We added a GoPro and now have hundreds of photos and videos. Epic show and tell!

My wife and I did our first ocean dive after getting certified in landlocked Colorado. Deborah guided us and not only did we have a ton of fun, but felt completely comfortable and safe. Will definitely dive with In2Scuba whenever we return to Maui.

We cant say enough great things about Deborah and In2Scuba. Our family of four all love snorkeling, and have never been scuba diving before. We signed up for the intro dive at Airport beach. They started with a super informative and well done safety presentation/class (about 30 minutes or so), we were getting geared up and then into the water for our intro dive. They took us our with four people per guide, and we had Deborah as our personal guide for the four of us in our family. After a few safety tests making sure we knew the basics of our equipment in the water we were off...full on scuba with turtles, all sorts of fish, eels, rays, even a reef shark! We loved it so much we went again a few days later to a second intro dive at Mala Warf with Deborah again, but this time no class, just a quick refresher and into the water. We highly recommend going to Mala ward. It is She was everything you want in a guide/instructor. Positive attitude, great teacher, showed us all the amazing sites, even took video of us with our underwater camera. Definitely the highlight of our time in Maui!

The In2Scuba team does a great job, especially for beginners. Would highly recommend anyone new to the Lahaina area to try them out! Ty and Deborah offer great instruction and make it fun for divers of all comfort levels.

This was such an incredible experience!! It was my first time diving so I was a little nervous, but Ty and Deborah were so great with making sure I felt safe and comfortable! The views were fantastic and the turtles and fish were so beautiful. The gear and equipment was all safe and clean and COVID guidelines were followed so well! I will definitely be coming back and diving again with In2Scuba! Super great for beginners and families :)

I appreciate the time and effort the instructors took to make sure we were all safe, and having fun at the same time. Two really nice ladies helped me get through some anxiety issues and made me a cool cucumber. Instructions clear, dive sights wonderful, 10/10 would do again. Worth every second of my time.

Deborah was a great and patient dive master. I had never scuba dived before and she made me feel safe the entire time. I was there with my wife who had done multiple dives before and we both had a great time. Highlights included seeing a huge turtle, eel, octopus and a school of fish feeding on something we couldnt exactly see. Absolutely recommend the company and Deborah!

Went scuba diving my with Ty, one of the final tours of my two week vacation. Scuba was the most exciting activity I did the whole time I was there. My dream was to see a turtle and I got so much more than that. Take Ty up on the pictures he offers. Ty is a fantastic underwater photographer as well as awesome guide. I saw so many beautiful fish as well as 3 turtles and an octopus I was able to hold. WOW This is a MUST DO!! I will treasure the memories forever, and I have all new screen savers here at home to look at now :-) What a day...

We had an amazing experience with In2Scuba! Weve done a lot of snorkeling already and really wanted to try scuba. Since we didnt have time to get certified before our trip we tried out their intro course. I cant think of any better place to try it for the first time! Rather then starting out in a pool, we got to do a real dive! Deborah and Ty were so great and fun to work with. Their patience with us newbies really stood out! We had an hour or so of learning the basics on land and then walked right into the water from the shoreline of Kahekili Beach. We were in the shallows at first with additional training and the next thing we knew we were diving into the coral! Watched a turtle up close eating and many more fish! I highly recommend In2Scuba to anyone that wants to try it out. Were excited to get our certs on the mainland and go back to dive with them again!

Before coming to Maui in February of 2019, I have been diving in several places prior. I was accompanied by two family members this time who had done scuba before, but were not yet certified and had to go through the Introductory Discover Scuba course as refresher students.We participated in two dives at two different dive sites with Deborah; a morning dive at Old Airport Beach, and an afternoon dive at Mala Warf. The first was a bit underwhelming, but the reef had suffered through the storms that had hit the island the previous week. My party was also accompanied by a second party similar to ours - with one certified diver and to intro course divers. Debroah was very calm and reassuring when one of the other new intro divers had a moment of panic. Because of her demeanor and her patience with the new diver, they were able to continue on the dive right by Deborahs side and made it through to the end of the dive! As a seasoned diver, it was really pleasing to see a dive master who is encouraging and supportive of those who are new to the experience and anxious about it.Our second dive at Mala Warf was what blew the trip out of the water (photos attached). The walk out was a bit exhausting and can make your feet hurt a bit because of the rocks, but it was worth it. Since it was just my party and Deborah for this one, our air management allowed us to stay under the waves for nearly an hour! There were turtles everywhere, an adorable nudibranch, and she even managed to find us a few white tip reef sharks that were taking naps under the broken pier. During this dive, because it was a smaller group and all of us were comfortable, Deborah was much more engaging and interactive with the environment and it just made the dive a completely different experience from the first. She was respectful of all the animals we found, but wasnt afraid to go looking under slabs of concrete and pier to find the next cool animal.tl;dr Worth every penny! Deborah was a fantastic, considerate, and engaging dive master, and I will definitely be coming back to them the next time Im on Maui!!!

Great time scuba diving!! This was a first for me and by far the most amazing experience of my vacation. Ty is very cool and laid back making me comfortable and well informed, pointing out multiple turtles and a octopus I was able to hold; absolutely amazing. I took advantage of the photo option and am pleased I did, as you can see Ty is a fantastic underwater photographer. This is my wife with one of the turtles. I cant say enough... ..if I visit Maui again this will be first on my To Do list. Thanks Ty for a fantastic time.

Fantastic experience all around. Our two daughters were freshly SCUBA qualified so this was their first real dive. Ty met us and introduced us to our Dive Master Deborah Lee. She was absolutely perfect. Deborah talked them though each step of the way and they were perfectly comfortable in her hands. The four of us did a one hour beach dive on the warf and saw everything we hoped to see, half a dozen white tipped reef sharks and a dozen green turtles not to mention an abundance of amazing fish. Highest possible recommendations for In2Scuba, Ty and Deborah.
