To start, I would like to give kudos to the staff for making my dining experience so enjoyable from the fast service to the great food. And then theres the food. It seems like whatever Ive chosen to order with each visit as well as the plethora of dishes I ordered at this particular visit (with pictures included) that there is nothing at the restaurant that is bad. If youre looking for places to check out for great food and creatively delicious drinks put this restaurant at the top of your list. You wont be let down. Enjoy it!
This place had good entertainment value but was very high priced for good but bland food. We tried the garlic edamame and gzoyo for appetizers and both were good. I would order the gzoyo again if I ever went back, as it was very tasty, but over a bill for 3 people is way too far out of my standard price range!
We live in Oakland Oregon and were craving some good sushi. Saw their ads on tv so drove up to Eugene. They have a dish for every taste bud. My mom got a crab roll, because she doesnt like uncooked sushi, and she went wild over it. We ended up getting 2 sides of egg rolls because the first batch was so amazing it kept us wanting more! I ordered the dragon roll, which was topped with eel and got 2 sides Unagi, which was a piece of eel atop rice. Both were encredible! My husband got a bowl of thick noodle soup. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was very flavorful and full of veggies. We really enjoyed every part of the meal and highly reccomend Fuji Japanese Steakhouse for any occasion. Well definitly be back!
The inside of this place is really nice. The food performance seems neat. The gin mojito was a great balance of sweet and sour. The mint was fresh and added great flavor. The fried foods are really greasy. The squid was a bit chewy. The miso was good though. The edamame was pretty great, tasted fresh and had a great balance of salt. I got the tropical hiko sushi roll. It was pretty overwhelmed with sauce, the spicy salmon was ground salmon. I really dislike that squishy texture. The bento box was a steak teriyaki. The steak was well done, as in not good. It was chewy. The teriyaki sauce has potential. It was a good mix of sweet and savory. The fried sides were greasy and some things (like broccoli) should be left unfried. The rice was made well. The fried spring rolls were made pretty well. If you see my hand, it was overly greasy too though. Fried foods really do take some technique and care which isnt there. For the price, this place is sincerely lacking. A lot.
The food is absolutely amazing, but the atmosphere seemed a bit off. The hostess did not welcome us in or acknowledge our presence upon arrival so we had to awkwardly ask for a table. I will be calling ahead from now on. The hibachi chef was great and put on a show that made the experience much better.
The waiter was really nice but we had better sushi in the past. maybe we should of had the lunch box or the hibachi instead, maybe better luck next time
Excellent food and service! The hibachi chef choppy was excellent and the staff was very accommodating making sure all members of my party were happy and taken care of.
This is a great restaurant for families and friends. The only downside is the fact it is so loud its difficult to hear the person you are sitting next too. Also the carpet looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a few years. The rest of the place is very clean, and staff is following good Covid protocols.

A clean, well lit place to eat.
The service there was excellent. The cocktail from the bar also excellent. The food fell short of expectations. We ordered filet mignon and lobster. We expected a mouth watering tender steak and lobster tail. Instead we were served meat chunks and something that resembled crawdad tails. The food was over cooked, the presentation terrible. When I go out for dinner I dont expect my meal to look like something I may serve my children at home. Fot $30,95 pp I was very disappointed. I want to come back and see what their sushi is like, perhaps that is their strength. Steak and lobster sadly is not.
Outstanding service! Every one of the staff we had was overly attentive, wildly caring and absolutely hilarious! Such great personalities and and all around wonderful experience. We made some lifelong memories in short couple of hours and will definitely be returning soon! Thank you so much for a delightful evening celebrating a special birthday! Amazing food with great entertainment! The hibachi was amazing.Moderate wait (roughly 30 min), but we chose the hibachi. Additionally, we came out on a Thursday at 18:30 with a party of five.
The show the chef put on was very entertaining but the food was EXCELLENT!! I had fillet mignon w/scallops cooked to perfection
Absolutely phenomenal as well as a beyond stellar experience, sushi rolls surpass Sushi Island by a massive margin and the show performed by the chef was unlike any other restaurant I have been to in the past. I strongly recommend this place for birthday party dinners since it is all perfect for what you spend on with the entirety of any family celebrating it ^_^ 👍🎉🍣🎂

We were celebrating my daughter in laws birthday. It was so much fun. The chef who prepared our meal was hilarious, which made the evening all the more better. The waitress was so accommodating and so sweet. The food was amazing. We had the gambit from sushi to filet mignon. It was an amazing evening.
Poor seating food wasnt the best service was great and big menu good prices but I wont be returning. Not the place if your wanting a nice quiet dinner thats for sure.
Our Personal *(Japanese Chef Jeff )* Bows* was extraordinary with his simultaneous wicked cooking skills! Jeff flips spatulas, flips food, while being a cooking pyromaniac. The quality of the fish was on point, as well as the top quality of rice, chicken. The service here is so comfortable and Kim was pleasant. Welcoming smiles & ambient music. Thank you for the pleasure to eat so well. Will come again
This was my first time at Fuji and I am extremely impressed, everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. I got pork ramen and it just fell apart in my mouth! the flavors are so powerful and everything was so fresh and delicious. totally

We used to love this place (5 stars)...But our last two trips here have been disappointing. Several employees spent most of their time on their phone or in front of the TV. The restaurant was not as clean as it used to be. There were cobwebs and old rice on the window next to our booth. The food and service seem to take quite a while. Most employees seemed unhappy to interact with customers. (Some even dressed in sweatpants). Sad to see one of our favorite spots change so much.
Took a little bit to get in, however the wait was worth it. Food was excellent as was the service. My daughter loves the show they put on. The habachi is top notch.
Best Japanese grill and sushi I have ever had. The bar was amazing and the best service I have had yet post covid restaurants of any kind. Availability was extremely good no wait time to sit and dine indoors. Quality of the food was way beyond the price and greatly exceeded my expectations. The alcohol is top notch and drinks are not expensive but the service was by far the best. If you have not been yet. This is a must go. We may be back tomorrow night. It was just so much better than anything else in the area. When you have found the best why bother looking for anything else! Eat here tonight!
My friends took me for a last minute birthday celebration dinner before having to drive back to Seattle, and the management went above and beyond to accommodate our large party and created an awesome atmosphere to enjoy the occasion!It was my first time here and the food was fresh and tasty - our table ordered a number of items from the menu and it was all good.
Everything was great. Dropped rating down to 4 stars because after we paid for our meal with a card we had left a tip on the table for our server instead of adding it to our card. She checked the receipt and asked about a tip. In my opinion extremely unprofessional and bold. You never should do that in my opinion. Not to mention she wasnt the most attentive server either seeing as they were not real busy. Kinda made me want to go grab my tip we had left on the table. Other than that everything was great. Hibachi chef was great, food and drinks were AMAZING!

Ordered take out today and wow, we had the most flavorless bento boxes we have EVER had. Zero teriyaki sauce on the meats - it was completely unseasoned (I could be wrong, water may be considered a seasoning here). An extreme disappointment. The only thing that had flavor was the shumai and miso soup. Everything else went in the bin. I hate to say it but Panda Express can do better.
Showed up and the place was packed. Short wait to be seated. Waiter was prompt and very attentive. The salad dressing on the salad is fresh and delicious. Definitely need to have the hibachi service, they cook right in front of you fun show right at the grill. Would recommend to anyone of any age

Absolutely fantastic!! Cant praise them enough. Went for our anniversary here and they were super accommodating. It was pricey but worth it. You have to be rather foolish to go to a place like this and not expect to pay. The meat portions were a bit small but tasted incredible. It was clean and spacious as well. You will share a grill with 8 people but have plenty of elbow room.

The food is delicious here! Sushi is top notch and super fresh. The Hibachi was cooked perfectly and in front of you so you have some added fun with that. Average meal is about $25 and you get a lot of food. Definitely a good spot for the family or even a group of friends.
This is a decent Japanese restaurant with quality, traditional Japanese dishes and sushi. They are located inside Valley river center next to JC Penney and have been there about one year now. The sauces that come with the meals are wonderful and they have a great Ginger salad dressing, as well.All they ingredients seem to be of higher quality. They have lunch specials as well as a regular dinner menu. Moreover, they have special cocktails available during the day and evening.

Food wasnt bad, same three sauces on everything. All tasted the same. The meats were properly cooked and tender but it was all piled in my plate in a heap. We got the rice and it was under cooked. Some of the cooks were more showey than others, of course we got the dud. I wouldnt come back if it wasnt a special occasion. Very pricey for mediocre food and showmanship. 👎

Wow !! Took my daughter and her bestfriend here for her birthday . It was her first experience at a hibachi restaurant. They were both super excited and delightfully entertained. The chef did a remarkable job preparing our dinner and entertaining all of us . The food was amazing and the portions are huge. We will definitely be back in the near future . The food is very delicious. The prices are not the lowest. Theres the grill are or the restaurant area. The grill is crazy fun and crazy expensive. The restaurant is a good chill spot for eating and talking.

We ate at the Teppenyaki table. The shrimp tempura appetizer was perfect. The meal was everything it should be and the chef was delightful. Would definitely recommend and hope to go again.
The food here is awesome, service is great, specially since I they have to do to go orders only. They get your orders out quickly. They also know about gluten free options! The only issue I had was, not enough sauce.
I wanna say first of all, the service and the food was great. The showmanship was top notch, I have no qualm with any of the staff. The management needs to get it together, it was my birthday and I waited a full hour for my food. I had surprise birthday party who has been waiting 25 minutes for my arrival. Like cmon guys just tell us to show up later, FUBAR.

Ive been to Fuji many times to eat and never have I ever had such bed service. The waitress was rude and unattended. We had reservations for 8pm, did not receive soup or salad. We talked about the do and salad and was told the kitchen is closed. However people who came in after us and after we asked about soup and salad received soup and salad. We did not get refills on our drinks even though they were almost empty before they came to the grill to cook. Asked for a booster seat and had to get it ourselves.

The lunch menu is incredible. The fried rice, vegetables and filet mignon surpasses any other lunch in town. Its affordable and big enough to take some home. The staff is not only very attentive and knowledgeable regarding the menu.....but GORGEOUS!

The restaurant is very nice and elegant, I have only tried sushi here, any questions i have about the sushi they are there to answer. Definitely, the best sushi, i keep coming back for sushi, my mom loves their Tom yum soup.

Id give this 3.5 stars if I could. I was out of town with a craving for sushi and Fuji was where I went because it was close. It didnt wow me but it was good.
