Im so confused at all the bad reviews and hate that the experience was bad for them but for me I have always had a great experience. The Ice cream is amazing and so are the staff, especially the woman who owns it. She has always been more than nice to me. I am a regular now lol so she knows me and greets me when I walk in and always lets me know when there are new flavors and lets me try. I have been going to this place since i been a kid and now me and my children go. This is a place I will always go to.

So its okay to call in an order while people are in line and someone cut in line and they allow it bc they called it in and should be fixed before the people standing in line. Poor service explains the reviews.

I understand many believe we are on the tail end of a pandemic... but standing in the small, packed shop I was wary. Especially since this parish is on the rise for cases. Maybe half of the patrons were wearing masks, but the man and woman behind the counter had their masks below their faces, not wearing hair coverings for their longer hair, no gloves and the man repeatedly touched his face and then the mask and then would serve up ice cream and shakes. We ended up leaving instead of putting ourselves at any greater risk.

We loved our ice cream. I got the Butter Pecan topped with fresh strawberries & was delicious. I recommend Marble Slab Creamery to all.

Love this place thats where I always get my rum ice cream which I love very very much. Very Deli ice cream shake. They even do ivllce cream cake delivery. I strongly recommend.

Closed a lot despite hours online and on the door saying its supposed to be open. Update your information so people stop wasting their time.

Good ice-creams but worst attendant, both the Indian employees are a disgrace to India. Rude behavior and they made nasty comments in their own language, thinking I would not understand. I did not tell them anything because i had to order food but I would not recommend any people to go their when these couple are working.

I used to come here quite often. But now I never know WHEN to actually come because they are open/closed at sporadic times and I can never get anyone to answer the phone to tell me information. I miss this place. Please update the hours you are actually open.

I went to this location yesterday and I can’t believe how HORRIBLE my experience was..and it has never ever been horrible. I’ve been going for the last year. This sweet older woman who usually would be there in the evenings always serves me and is very professional and sweet but when I went in to get an icecream yesterday, this young man that must be new because I’ve never seen him was SO disrespectful to me and I will NEVER go back!He was being so rude to me, rushing me, and just being so hateful. Shame on the management for having someone like that work for them!Bad news spreads faster than good news..shame on you marble slab.

Just recently started going to this place. Quite a selection of flavors to choose from numerous topping to suite even the most complex sets of taste buds. Not as interesting to watch as something like sub zero but the product quality is just as good. Prices are suprisingly not that expensive.

I went to marble slap in lake Charles la I heard it had good ice cream there I went in and there was nice lady in there and was very helpful but there was two young people there to and I heard them talking about the lady that was helping us saying horrible things about her calling her fat and ugly and just being rude to the other customers idk if Ill every go back they were laughing at the lady they wouldnt stop how can the owner let things happen like that in a nice places and talk about the lady like they did I hope the next time I go back things will be different for the lady she is so nice to me and my friends

This place needs a social media page or something. I drove 30 minutes just to get there and see a sign that says the store is now opening at 1pm. Im assuming due to covid 19 the hours have been adjusted. But still It would be nice to know this before wasting a drive. Guess Ill head to Baskin Robbins.

Greta made us the best banana split we have ever had at the marble slab in lake Charles la it was 10 o’clock at night and you go in a place knowing that they will be closing soon thinking that they will not give you your order to the best of their ability but this was the best banana split I have ever had!!!!!!

I love froyo. But ice cream will always be better to me. Marble Slab is hard to beat for ice cream. As good as Blue Bell. That should be viewed as a very high compliment because Blue Bell is the gold standard for ice cream to me. Every flavor from Marvle Slab I have tried was great. Even flavors I didnt think I would like. Go be adventurous and try them. I think youll love it if youre an ice cream fan like me.

Its usually a bit warm in there, and I dont like the fact that they make the order without gloves, then ring up the order and start back with the next customer without washing their hands. Money and credit cards etc is very dirty. Ice Cream is amazing though!

The ice cream was delicious and I loved the variety of combinations that you could create. The prices were pretty high. My only concern was that there was only one person working and there were 20 people in line and he had to do everything. Hopefully they get better at staffing, because the ice cream was very good.

I was served by two different colleagues both of them were tremendous, so patient and understanding considering I was with two children, both of whom were well looked after.Oh and the ice cream is pretty darn good too 🤦‍♀️😂

The first time I went was a nice experience and had very good ice cream but, I just went again and the person was rude and and had an attitude. It’s a good place but that employee ruined my experience.

Good variety of ice-cream. They can mix different kinds plus mix toppings in it on a cold marble slab. So good. They make ice-cream cake as well.

We got there 10 minutes before closing time. Open light was still on and people sitting at tables . The worker was sweeping floor. Walked in and she says they are closed. We said they still have 10 minutes. She said no they are closed. We left but the open light remained on and door unlocked. I think if you are closed your door should be locked and open light off. I would suggest going there anywhere close to closing time because you dont know if you will get waited on.

FRIDAY evening, my husband and I were eating our ice cream and were kicked out 30 minutes before closing. I referred to the time on the website and door, which all had the closing time at 11pm. We werent even asked to leave, just told were closed and you have to leave. The worker said they had school work so their boss said they could close early.

Very good ice cream

We went in for a childhood favorite “banana split” and the young lady who prepared our splits refused to give me extra strawberries that I indicated I would pay extra. She said she could not put any more because it was overflow. This was do unusual and completely wrong because part of enjoying this treat is having it your way! She refused to allow me to pay extra and refused to place more strawberries on my banana split. I would not send anybody to this creamery. She was rude and very unwelcoming.

This place seems sketchy. Lots of advertisements for delicious things but only have 4 flavors of ice cream and had nothing that was advertised and the ice cream tasted horrible. They had one big freezer that was broken too! I mean when have you ever had bad tasting ice cream?? Exactly!!

I love cinnamon ice cream, and most marble slabs make the cinnamon w/vanilla which is not so great. But this marble slab always has cinnamon and if its not out the young lady will go to the back and look for me. Shes always very professional!

Ice cream is always great, but EVERY time we have a coupon FROM MARBLE SLAB, it’s either not accepted, or it’s an act of congress to be able to use it. Won’t be back.

There was a very odd odor inside that smelt like they cleaned with cleaned with a sour mop. I called before coming and asked about a specific cream and the young lady told me they had it. When I got there the worker had no clue what I was talking about. The other employee told her how to make it (rocky road) and she added extra ingredients that did not go in it like chocolate chips. All I wanted was chocolate icecream with marshmallows and almonds.

Best Ice cream in town. I would defiantly go again.

Great ice cream the young lady that helped me was sweet and the line moved pretty fast. They have a good amount of tables and chairs but the only downside I personally ran into there were no napkins on any of the tables or the countertop when I had a look for some. The music playing was ok, they do have a place to sit outside (its too hot for me to sit outside) they have a lot of parking too. Keep an eye open for this location its next to the Dollar Tree.

Service is SERIOUSLY subpar. Family owned, you can tell who cant be fired based on their attitude. Needs to be renovated..... Ice Cream is delicious.If the ice cream wasnt so good, Id never go back.

The ice cream was wonderful. The outside of the building, the entire structure, was very rundown and had lots of trash strewn about. Whoever owns the strip mall isnt taking very good care of it.

I will start off by saying I’ve been to multiple Marble Slab shops is several different states! I have never been to one that was nasty like this! Take a look over the counter and to the back in the kitchen! The bathrooms are aweful dirty. I went in to wash the sticky off my hands and walked right back out! I’d rather keep my sticky! The service was horrible. Didn’t seem like the ice cream was in proportion to what I paid for. Again, I’ve eaten at multiple shops! The ice cream we did order wasn’t mixed right with the ingredients we added. It was barely mixed up and not proportionate! The service was horrible. There was no greeting upon entering the store or before placing my order. The lady taking my order didn’t seem friendly. Our experience at this shop is definitely a 1 star.

This place was so gross which is a major bummer because it’s one of the only ice cream places. First off the staff is not very welcoming so the atmosphere wasn’t inviting from the second you walked in. Then we ordered a fudge brownie sundae and a strawberry shortcake one. Mine came with one tiny brownie at the very bottom and I even asked if that’s all that was in it and she said yes and seemed to think it was okay so whatever... we just wanted to get out if there. So we sat outside and starting eating.. My fiancé got through a couple bites and all of his stuff was stale, I wasn’t too far behind when I dug to the bottom for my one brownie, took a bite and quickly spit it out. It was not good at all so needless to say we will never be going there again.

Showed up at 7:30pm. The open sign was flashing, but all the lights were off and the door was locked. Sign on the door says they close at 10, Google says 10, website says 9. Its nowhere near either of those times. Thanks for bumming out a pregnant lady craving ice cream.

This place is really depressing, the floors are dirty, wallpaper peeling everywhere, wall sockets look dangerous, blinking LEDs that look like theyve needed replacing for a while now and there are dying plants with stains all around them.The girl who helped me looked so sad and honestly I cant blame her. The music they have plays through a staticy radio and its worse than having no music.The owner needs to clean up, replace and fix so much, Im honestly surprised this place is still in buisness

Their small bowls have plenty of ice cream to compliment your dinner if you just ate. They have a wide variety if flavors and allow UNLIMITED mix-ins.Reesces Peices, Oreos, Peanut Butter? Sure.Gummy Bears, Caramel, and butterfinger? You got it.Its a tier up from, say Orange Leaf, but the quality is much better too. Expect between $5-6 a person.

The absolute best ice cream, it melts kinda fast lol, but its ice cream and its delicious.

The door says they open at 11:30 yet I showed up and waited more then 15 minutes and they still hadnt opened. Whats the point of saying you open at a certain time if your not actually going to open.

Awesome flavors

The store was over heated although it wasn’t very busy at all, while ordering the girl behind the counter was being rude and rolling her eyes because she asked me to repeat myself, and then the milk shakes we ordered were just pure liquid.

Although there was only one employee there working, she was hustling to help our group of 6!
