On the area, which is not often, and after a visit to a painful doctor, I had already researched for superior made sausages and meats. Called them the day before, and of course they said their home made sausage was good. Reviewers were some for this place, while others did not seem too enthusiastic. I finally stopped to check it out around 1:15 PM. Impressive building, a big red barn, no less. Also had heard/read that their Carne Asada was the best, and at almost $16 a pound, I have to admit I was curiously attracted. What, super beef? Secret spices? Whats really going on?Some fellow reviewers had mentioned that they were high end, more money to buy their products than most. I had the good fortune to have tried the better sausages of this world, commencing with Argentinian. Not the copy cats but the real deal. Delicious on the grill, and also had outstanding German Bratwurst. When we tried these recently bought, we determined the quality was average, therefore 3 Stars.

El Toro Gourmet Meats is the place high quality meats of all types, including seafood. They have everything here. We come here to get duck breasts and racks of pork ribs. They also have a great selection of deli meats.

The people here are great and have very good meat knowledge! They are great in making preparation suggestions too if youd like to try something new. This place has a large selection of very good quality meats as well as pre marinated meats.

Fantastic meats! When we are in California we always love the meats from El Toro. We visit family for Thanksgiving and the organic turkey is the best. It also makes the most delicious soup after Thanksgiving. Some of most delicious and tasty meats we have ever eaten!

Small, neighborhood butcher and grocer. The steak comes from local grass-fed cows and is among the best Ive had. Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The quality of the beef is worlds ahead of the big chain grocery store steaks. The steak at El Toro Meats is even better than the prime grade steaks at Costco when Ive had them. I cant eat steak from anywhere else now, because Im always disappointed in comparison to El Toro Meats.Bacon is also top notch here! It has a good amount of fat to give sufficient flavor, but not so much that it shrivels to nothing when you cook it. It is also not overly salty like the packaged stuff at the bigger grocery stores. Try it on a BLT.The wine and local and craft beers selection is very good for how small the store is.

Prices are decent and the selection is great.I was shocked by how much of a selection they had. My first time there and certainly wont be my last. Their produces looked amazing and they had a great variety of sauces and rubs. They guys behind the counter were attentive and willing to get you just what you needed. Oh and order your Thanksgiving turkeys from here... The place they get them from is amazing! And they will even hold it and defrost it for you. Best place to buy meat in Orange county

While in this market today, an extremely rude, bearded cashier abruptly and angrily informed me that I couldnt purchase a $2.99 bottle of ginger beer with my debit card, as there is a $10.00 minimum. If such a minimum for a debit purchase is the rule, then so be it, but his nasty, curt attitude was not needed and was extremely off putting. I then offered to place the drink back in the cooler, to which the same cashier replied (curtly again, but with an air of suspicion towards me...possibly implying that he thought Id steal the drink) No, Ill do it! Save your time, money, and energy on this place, and try a friendlier meat market.

Top notch meats and a friendly, knowledgeable service team combine to make this the BEST place for meats in Orange County. Their steaks are consistently tender and flavorful. Their staff goes out of their way to help you find whats right for you and give you all the advice needed to make your meal the quality of a five star restaurant. Couple of recommendations: 1) ground buffalo burgers for a casual weekend bbq, 2) take it up a notch with El Toros hand cut rib eye steaks, 3) for the holidays or that special occasion, set yourself up with one of their prime rib roasts that theyll season for you! All in all, its hard to go wrong here. Oh yeah, be sure to also check out their micro brew beer selection!

Been shopping here for all meat/fish needs for about 10 years now. Always first stop right after grocery store. The quality of meat is superior to that in typical grocery stores. Everything from Salmon or sashimi grade ahi for homemade sushi night, to porterhouse steaks and carne asada. Dont forget to check in side freezer for frozen ground chicken, sausages and Cornish hens. Always top notch service. Always an excellent selection.

This is the best place for fresh wholesome meat in all of Southern California. We serve the Carne Asada to every out of town guestwe have, and they always request it again the next visit! Weve spoiled them! They always take care of us when we visit. They will hand cut any meat in any way you want it, and package it however you want. This saves a ton of time at home, especially if you are going to freeze some items for use later. The quality of all their meat is hands-down the best there is.

They carry my wifes East coast favorite Taylor Pork Roll.
