I was here recently on a Friday evening to purchase a new pair of shoes for walking.Brian in Mens Shoes is awesome, he approached me right away, and knows an incredible amount of information on what youre looking for.He was also helping other customers simultaneously without missing a beat.Another terrific team member came out at about the same time and was great at assisting customers.Adrian checked me out up-front with helpful, genuine and exceptionally friendly service.The store looks terrific and the merchandise presentation is excellent.Thank you :)

Had what I needed when I needed it. Prices were good.

Went in to buy some skates and was greeted by the cashier. I am not sure if he was the manager. He asked what I was looking for and pointed me in the right direction. When I got there another team member helped me find the a nice pair of skates. Great customer service here. Cashier seemed to care about my safety and recommended safety equipment. I know he has to upsell, but it seemed like he actully cared. Only complaint is this place is located in a awkward spot. Really messed with my GPS. I dont blame the employees they were great.

Not so good customer service...Stood in front of the counter where they had been guns and what not and was passed by an employee a couple of times and not once did they ask if I needed assistance. So... I walk around the store, specifically around employees, and not one person asked if I needed help. Kinda disappointed in the customer service side of this store. Oh well... Bass Pro shop is better anyway...They can have my money.

I shop here regularly, can usually find some great shoe deals. Employees are helpful but not pushy which is awesome. Good selection of camping gear, good sales. To the poor sheltered gal who got scared of an employee showing an item they sell- its a knife. A tool. A very useful one. Good grief. No employee has ever scared me showing me the various knives. Good job staff at this location, and RSM.

I went in this Big 5 sporting goods which my husband an I really like but thus particular Big 5 well we where both unhappy with. We went in there to purchase some items for our camping trip an we where treated like we were stealing yes stealing... I was followed around the shoe area, an when I went to tell my husband lets leave the young man in the gun area treated my husband very short an rude. An when I was telling him about the young man there was another young man again following both of us now. I went there there to shop not be treated like this. I believe we were target because of our race. An I will go back again ...Management really needs to look into this. Thank you

This big5 location has been here forever. I havent stopped in in years, but I needed an ankle brace, they had it.inside the store was a mess. dont think Ill be going back anytime soon.

The customer service was great. I was offered help by two employees. One employee went above and beyond to help me. His name is Zach Taylor. He helped me figure out which product was right for me. Because of him I spent an extra $20. He was polite, helpful, followed through and knowledgeable. Because of him, I will visit Big 5, before Amazon. I liked the one on one help.

But one of the guys suggested to read study guide before trying he was right. He could have said something like Try is $25 is not a big deal and I would go for it. Thanks man !

Always staffed and very helpful. I exchanged a pair of boots a couple of days after Christmas and it was very pleasant. Logan greeted me as soon as I entered and within minutes went to go get what I wanted from the back. They didnt have my size, so he ordered a pair to be delivered within 2 weeks. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes! Weve also shopped here for Black Friday. Next year were only Christmas shopping here.

Ive never been there but I suspect theyve got service issues. Every time I called the phone hung up automatically after about 5 rings; unanswered. And I called midday during business hours. Not enough staff to answer the phone, possibly??????

Great deals. Good name brands and styles for shoes, athletic wear, and any kind of sport equipment. Store is a bit hidden, has been there for over 40 years. Helpful w customer service. I always go here 1st when Im looking for comfortable shoes.

I only came here because of a $25 gift card. Prices were extraordinary high. Staff was nice and helpful.

Awesome service at this store from 3 different people. And saved probly $20-40 on u/armour tactical boots over traditional uniform store ($80 here vs ?). No waiting or delivery fee, in stock and my size. The rep brought out a clearance one ($125 elsewhere) not displayed, as well as one I had asked for. If only big 5 had big locations like Dicks or REI. But hey, they have guns n bikes n fishing gear + some decent work boots.

As far as Big 5 goes, this one is good. While they dont have the selection of the bigger box stores or the polished appearance, their prices are better. One bummer about this store is there is only one dressing room. Better hope you arent behind some kid who is ultra finicky and makes both parents grab dozens of items. Just saying ...

Its a great outdoor shop, with a humongous selection of virtually anything and everything you can think of. Their tents were fantastic and I got an eight-person tent for under $120, freaking killer. The attendant was incredibly nice and helpful, and the whole place had a great atmosphere.

They have good sale on shoes but the service isnt great. Was trying on shoes a sales person was standing right there and he never asked if he could help. Was there again today, pretty much same bad service, at least this time a sales person did look for me but was gone so fast that I couldnt get more help. I guess its not a priority, customer service.

Have been coming here for years and will continue to do so, however my visit on Saturday was distressing as there were three people shopping without masks. They have a mandatory mask requirement but rather lax enforcement from what I observed.

I went to the store in Lake Forest yesterday. When paying, the cashier talked about knifes. He then took up a pocket knife, showing it off. I was super uncomfortable and even felt scared. I will never visit this store again, it was a horrible experience!

I bought a pair of Winter boots from another big 5 and when I walked in the manager was very helpful and so was the cashier. They ensure that I was satisfied and my problem resolved even without a receipt they gave me a gift card for the difference of payment.

Great prices and good selections on hiking shoes. The guys were very helpful in bringing out the different shoe sizes for us.

The guy at the front of the store helped me immediately as I walked in. He explained all the process to the new ammunition restrictions. The whole purchase was done in less then 10 minutes so I will be back.

No consistently! Yesterday, I was shopping for a pair of mid height hiking boots. I found a pair and the manager offered to take $20 off down to the last sales price. I returned today for the purchase and a different manager refused to honor the price that the previous manager quoted. Very odd and bad business practice.

Helpful staff and cheaper prices on name brands like Adidas and Nike make for a smart choice to stop at Big 5. Might not be as popular of a stop to shop at, but you definitely can get great deals.

Horrible customer service!!! Immidiately didnt feel good walking in this store. Wont be going to this location again. All the other low reviews were correct. All the big 5s Ive been to prior to this one were far superior to this one. I would say bottom of the barrel service.
