Service: GREAT Buying A new car: You may want to go somewhere else for a better price.Im on my 2nd Subaru and the Irvine SERVICE department does a great job!BUT, the SALES department could use a little work. I was looking to buy a new car and I found out that Irvine Subaru is charging $5,000- $10,000 OVER STICKER PRICE for the new Wilderness model.That really bummed me out. I love Subarus but I feel that was taking advantage of people, so I researched and found that I could get the same car for $5,000 less at Ontario Subaru. Thats a huge savings!The guys at Ontario Subaru were HAPPY to serve me and they were friendly and did a great job of making it an easy process! AND, not one PENNY over sticker price for the same car.I picked up my new Subaru Wilderness at Ontario Subaru yesterday and couldnt be happier.I hope Irvine Subaru will change their policy to overcharge. I know Ill be buying another new car in 2 or 3 years and I would buy from them again if they do.
My 19 year old twins got their WRX cars here! Their customer service is absolutely amazing!The warranties and other services are fantastic!Now my husband is trying to get me to buy a SUV from them lolDCH Subaru was the first place they went. My son not only didnt get approved but they tried to add everything they were specifically told not to.Later they texted my son that he was approved.. pass. When the guys went to Irvine Subaru, they found out my sons credit was ran SEVEN times!!Thankfully, the amazing team of Irvine Subaru was able to get both my sons into cars with no cosigner.
My appointment was on Monday but I showed up on Sunday and the staff made time for me. Everyone was friendly and did not hound me to buy. I purchased the 2021 Subaru Forester Sport. I was there about a hour and a half. I love my spacious car and I get so many complements about its look and how good/reliable Subaru’s are.Thank you Irvine SubaruSP
Just left the dealership - saw one salesman without a mask on, which was confusing as he was sitting in his office with two customers that were both wearing masks.A few minutes later, a customer (?) came inside the building with no mask, and hung around by the desk while the employees milled around. None of the employees asked him to put on a mask either.Two stars because they had the part I was there for, so at least I got what I needed...Its a bummer because everything else about this dealership seemed pretty good. Dont go here while covid is still a thing!

I came to see an accent to upgrade my wifes escape but did not see any salesman in sight. After a bit of walking around the lot, I went inside the building and observed around 7 of them in a circle laughing it up and having a blast (there were windows where you could see me walking around) when I asked for help, they had a (nice and polite) guy come from a corner of a table where he was hiding from the light come help me, I asked if I could see the accent and the gentleman went to grab the keys. The door unlocked and I checked the accent out but the salesman never came back so I left. Never coming back to this dealership and will recommend to others to go somewhere else as this was terrible customer service.
Booked an appointment online for a routine 30,000 mile service appointment. Even though it stated it was free online, when I showed up, I was told it would be $500+ for the routine check-up. Ended up just paying for an $80 oil change. With the appointment, oil change took 1.5 hours. Overall left feeling a bit disappointed, especially since my previous experiences at Irvine Subaru had been positive. Wish there was more visibility up-front as to how much the routine service would cost. Went in expecting it to be free and left paying $80.

I bought a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek in cool grey khaki from Steven Daniels and it was an excellent experience. When I initially walked in looking for a 2021 Forester to test drive, the first guy that approached me said they were out of stock and that I should try a different dealership or go online. No other options were presented and I got the feeling he didnt want to help me. I was disappointed and about to walk out and go home when my bf and Steven found me. Steven took the time to talk to me and help me out with test drives of other models. He was easy to talk to, no pressure, overall great representative! If it wasnt for Steven, I would not have done business there.
They said are oil change would take 1.5 hours. Three hours later we did not receive a call. We decided to go to dealer and found out our service had be none for some time. We never got a call. I also called and spoke to Tim Allen about something he might be able to help me with. He said he could call back in a short time but he never called back. This occured on Thursday. I called back today and they said that Tim had left. I asked to talk to manager but he also did not call back.
Worst dealership experience I’ve had yet. First thing is that they had most of their cars marked up about $2-3k above MSRP. The Internet manager emails me a quote for a 2021 Subaru WRX STI which was still a little over MSRP just to end up driving an hour to this dealership and having Desiree Farey the General Sales Manager tell us that they can’t sell me the car for the price that was quoted in the email because it’s the last “Limited STI” in that color within 500 miles UNLESS I buy the warranties and other bs. Very unprofessional. I’ll give the internet manager the benefit of the doubt because maybe he was having an off day but for a GSM to act the way that they did was really sad.
I had a pleasant experience at this location. The service on my vehicle was fast and friendly. I was very happy with all the snacks and coffee offered and I was content watching TV during my wait. The receptionist helping me was very beautiful and walked me all the way to my car when it was finished being inspected.
Poor customer service. Salesman got in a mansplaining state of mind. Told me they didn’t have the Crosstrek I wanted anywhere else but Irvine Subaru. 😂 Took myself and my business to the Carlsbad Subaru and had a much better experience. Got the exact car I wanted there and a much better deal. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere. They don’t seem to understand that high pressured sales tactics actually drive customers away.
Waiting over 2 hours for an oil change is ridiculous.This is the 3rd time I’ve been to this Subaru & every time it’s a long wait for a simple oil change, but never this long. No one keeps you updated after you check in & they give you a estimated time, which is no where near the time you actually wait. Disappointed
If I can give 0 star, I would or even negative star. Too many bad experiences with service on this place. Last service was today, went for an oil change and tire rotation, charged me and paid for both. I went home and noticed the they didnt rotate my tires at all. Good thing I noticed and called them for the refund.2 years ago they nicked my sideskirt for a simple service. Got it replaced after a long 3 whole months. Dont go for service here or even buy your Subaru here. I love Subaru but this place is trash.And now it turned out Im lying

Irvine Subaru made my car buying experience a breeze! Fabrizio made sure we got exactly what we wanted and was upfront with all the information we needed to know. Our paperwork was done quickly and efficiently followed by finance who worked just as well. I never felt rushed but I also felt like they were ready to give me the focus needed to get me into my car. Before I left Fabrizio made sure my car was washed and went through all the amazing features on my new ascent. He made sure I was comfortable and understood everything I needed. Even after I left I still have felt supported. We did an encore FaceTime where I could ask questions about my car that arose during the first two weeks of owning it where I felt even more supported. What an amazing experience. I will definitely go back and work with them again!

Had a great honest conversation about my car and the different options I had to fix it..... After some research and fact checking and mention that I was waiting 3.5 hours over the quoted time... I was about to be charged $550 JUST for changing spark plugs. Turns out I also had a 90,000 check up due where spark plugs are included and the entire bundle is $550. If I hadnt spoken up this review may have gone differently... Always do your research
NOT a typical car dealership and I mean that in the best way possible. Everyone here is so chill and empathetic to how much most folks disdain the car buying experience. My gf got a car a couple weeks ago and there was zero pressuring, all cards were on the table and it truly felt like they wanted the best for her rather than finding any possible way to make a sale.
I take the car in 3-4 months ago for a major maintenance, which cost $$. A few months later all the maintenance lights in the car come up suddenly again. This time the maintenance was even more expensive then then the first one and to make things worst they call three times to recommend additional work that needed to be done... Why was this not mentioned during the first major maintenance? Then to top it all off when I come to pick up the car they let me know that I should also do an oil change which not only waste my time but adds to an already upset customer. Not sure if I will come back to this dealership.
This dealership has gone above and beyond in helping me buy a car. Marcelo the sales person was not pushy at all when I walked in to buy my car, I bought the base model of a 2020 impreza and have been super happy with it. I had to return yesterday to switch out my battery. I was there 1 hour, battery was replaced, oil change and a hand wash, could not be happier.
We just bought a 2021 Outback from Irvine Subaru and the experience couldn’t have been better. We were looking for a particular model and color, which they didn’t have, so we ordered one. There wasn’t any pressure at all, no sleaze, the price was quickly negotiated and the car arrived in a few weeks with updates along the way. Finally, picking up the car and getting through the paperwork was a breeze. This is our second Outback purchased from them. Highly recommend Irvine Subaru.
I was working with Justin last year when the COVID pandemic had just started. Just was super helpful and not a pusher on the sale. The dealership was close due to the stay at hone order. During that time he was communicating with us weekly. At the end we didn’t purchase the Subaru but hope to do so in the future. We will defiantly be going back to Justin and this dealership.

Nice enough people but absolutely Horrible work. I will never bring my vehicle back here. Supposedly they did a complete 21 point inspection had the car for weeks and waited until they notified me the car was ready to be picked up that theres multiple things needing to be fixed when they were Supposed to do the full inspection and list everything needing repairs day 1 and had said they did yet somehow didnt catch several important parts that need to be replaced and the work they did do was shotty at best. The part they fixed makes a loud grinding noise constantly as well as the engine runs so much rougher then before it ever went in. Find a friend whos a mechanic or even just knows cars. Theyd be better than this horrible shop. Im taking my vehicle into a local mechanic in my town so they can actually look at it and fix whatever these idiots did to it.
Only giving them 2 stars because the sales team is great, however, I have now sent 2 emails, 4 voicemails and have called roughly 6-7 times and have had NO RESPONSE from their financial team.
This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Desiree helped me figure out my financing before I even came into the dealership. I had questions about multiple vehicles and she answered them all no problem. The buy was seamless and was exactly what we had talked about. George greeted me at the dealership and helped me right away. He let me test drive the vehicle and helped me begin the paperwork process and was super friendly. Peter then helped me fill out the financing paperwork. He was also very friendly and we had a great conversation about restoring classic cars. I was then given the keys to my vehicle as was told about some of the features. Breanna later did a video call with me to go over all my features which was very helpful. I was only there for about 45mins and left a very happy customer. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new car!

I returned my Subaru at the end of lease to this dealership. They didnt file a release of liability and didnt notify me that I should do it by myself. As a result, I got a toll ticket! Well, if you are not leasing or buying another car from this dealership, they simply dont care about helping you. This is not a best way of keeping a customer for potential future business.

I have used Irvine Subaru for five years and always been pleased with the service quality as well as the welcoming staff and environment. Today (8/20/2020) I called about my warranty since I have been quarantined out of town for five months and needed information about coverage. Natalie answered the call and stayed on the line while looking up the information I required. It is very nice to know someone at my dealership actually *has* information available and cares enough to find it when I am unable to access my own personal records (stored in southern California).

Irvine Subaru is no frills in both the Service and Sales Departments. Please take the one star reviews on here with a grain of salt. People tend to be very expressive, and would rather come here to vent rather than address problems directly—amazing how far in life fixing problems directly will get you. Found this dealership by accident when I looked up and found my car here. I live in Carlsbad and I make the drive up here for service as it is much better than the dealers near my home. Coming here is always a very welcoming experience, glad I found it. Worth the drive from Carlsbad.

I asked his name. He responded dont worry about it. I told I want to know your name. He told john. I asked him to call your manager. interestingly his name was not john and he lied to me. He came with me to manager and told my name is Tim !!!. Such a poor customer service.
This place is so great! I am here for a 3 mo winter visit and wanted to get my car serviced before going back east, and it was time. They did such a good job and the service advisor Travis Yiep was so professional Im ready to move here! Great job, all about the personnel. Didnt interact with anybody else. OH, and they called the next day to be sure things went OK. 5-star!

I am perpetually disappointed by the service department. Maybe I was spoiled by the dealership I used in the last state I lived, but this place leaves a lot to be desired. I was told when I went in for a 36,000 mi service that my previous service there was not the major 30,000 mi package, even though I know I explicitly asked for such. I also never am talked through the results of the multi point inspection which I have been at other dealerships. Honestly not coming back again. Ive been let down by poor customer service here too many times, likely being brushed off for being a young woman. Ill take my car elsewhere.

I drove 6 hours to Irvine Subaru for a Orange Crosstrek 2020 6 speed Manuel. Desiree, Dustin, and Frank all helped me in different ways. I have never bought a new car and they made the process easy smooth and great. Dustin even suggest we take 101 home for the scenic drive and stop in Solvang. And we absolutely did that. Thanks Dustin awesome suggestion. I would most definitely drive 6 hours again to purchase another car from them. They were all fantastic. I really dont appreciate their high pressure sales for additional or extended warranties. I have repeatedly told Subaru that Im interested but that I cant support the high pressure sales tactic. Give customers the information and let me have the option to talk it over with my spouse. Subarus current sales employees are trained to give the number and by the end of the conversation you have to agree to it. Its tricky and they shouldnt play mind games with customers.

I have bought well over 50 new cars in my life, including some higher-price brands such as Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW and Land Rover, and none of those dealers are in the same league as Irvine Subaru. They would all do well to send their sales teams to Irvine Subaru to learn how to treat customers with respect and be transparent with regard to pricing. Irvine Subaru is by far the best and most fair dealer I have ever dealt with. Highly Recommended.

I cant say enough great things about this dealership! I had a pretty good idea of what exactly I wanted, called the dealership and spoke to Marcelo to set up a time to come in. (Due to COVID, I believe theyre still taking walk ins but I wanted to be sure ahead of time).I let Marcelo know when I was on my way, and by the time I arrived, he already had ready the keys and Crosstrek Premium Id called about, and a base model so I could do my own comparisons when I got there. Both of these vehicles still had the protective coverings from just having arrived from the factory, which I loved.The whole experience was very relaxed and I didnt feel any pressure at all. Marcelo showed me all the differences in the vehicles and then let me and my friend do our own thing as we thoroughly went through both of them. During the test drive, Marcelo was very patient with my very rusty manual-driving skills and helped me relax and gave me driving pointers!Everyone at this dealership involved in the pricing really helped me out and took care of me as far as being active duty military, and price-matched for me and really made me glad to bring my business here.Daniel who sold me the warranty and offered the extended maintenance package was very clear and helpful in understanding my options and the benefits, and again I felt no pressure to buy anything but rather empowered to make an educated decision.Finally, Brady the finance guy was wonderful as well walking me through all the paperwork and explaining everything, as well as allowing me to put a good chunk of my down payment on my credit card so I could get the points benefits!Thanks so much to everyone at this dealership for their patience and helping me get into my dream car in one visit!

My experience with Irvine Subaru is limited to their service department. Ive had nothing but a positive experience from end-to-end. From booking my appointment to picking up my car, theyve been extremely kind, communicative, and treat you fair. The 30k maintenance was finished when they said it would be, they provided me with a loaner, they are responsive to texts, and keep me up-to-date throughout. I think their pricing is also competitive. There are two Subaru dealers that are closer but its worth the drive so youre not treated sub-human but like your business matters to them. Id recommend them for service without hesitation.
I would highly recommend going in and asking for Justin S. to help you find a car. Out of all the dealerships and sales reps I spoke with, he has been by far the best Ive worked with. From initially coming up and meeting me until signing for the car, he made the experience entirely joyful. He surpasses what it means to provide customer experience and I am lucky to have worked for him. After 4+ months of doing our homework, we had narrowed down our search for a new 2019 multi purpose vehicle to 3 different car manufacturers. We took a tip from a friend and started our on site research and test drive with Irvine Subaru. Frank and Desi treated us with such undeniable patience and respect. My background is customer service, purchasing and marketing, so, needless to say, I am a very tough customer. My endless questions were answered and product demonstrated with zero angst. Additionally, Dustin and Brady made the entire purchasing and finance part of the sale, seamless. Very unprofessional salesman. Came in wanting to look at the pre owned vehicles they had and the person who I asked for help directed me to his computer to look at them through a screen. I asked, “so you guys don’t actually have the cars here?” and he said “yes we do, but it’s better to look at what you want here first before we go see them.” I could’ve done this at home, waste of my time. He also questioned how old I was and when I told him I was 20 he asked me “who’s going to pay for your car?”. Um? I am. Anyways, i felt disrespected and ended up leaving without seeing the cars. I’m happy with my new Impreza Sport that the Subaru dealership in Santa Ana helped me find and finance at an amazing rate. I recommend anyone to go with them instead of here. They’re more helpful, friendly and less judgmental unlike this place.
Our 2017 Forester was having battery problems. Took it to the dealer late in the afternoon expecting to leave it overnight and was surprised to find they offered to have the battery checked and replaced within an hour. Great service and they completed the battery replacement under warranty as well as handling another warranty item. They even washed the car. Great service. Ill be back

The entire staff and crew from service to desk to body shop and all of their departments. They are prime example of guest services. What distinguishes this dealership is it’s superb service. You buy a car once but rely on the service department many times over the years of ownership. Sebastian Scaglia is far and away the best service advisor at any dealer of any brand. I’ve owned several cars from a variety of brands. He’s the reason we have two Subaru’s — a 2017 Outback (bought elsewhere) and a 2019 Forester (bought from Irvine Subaru). Regardless of where you buy your Subaru, here’s the place to get it serviced.

This will be my sons first car. We went to the dealership and were met with John Grady. He was very helpful and answered all our questions. No pressure and we even went on a test drive.
I went to Irvine Subaru to get an aftermarket spoiler installed and a man named Pablo was really great about helping me figure out how to install the spoiler. It’s not your typical spoiler and installing it would be dangerous so before installing it he contacted me about his concerns and how it could be a safety hazard so he recommended I contact the company I got it from. While I was waiting to here back from the company, he would call and check in to see if there were any updates. Anytime I called him he would always answer. He was a great help.
Never had worest then customer experience .give business over 10000 dollars for last 3 years I returned my mom 2017 foster lease to financial manager called Rusty very RUDE person unprofessional never return calls went to his office didnt even looked busy playing in his personal phone unbelievable customer service not welcoming at all when I asked normal question answered with 15 years old teens big attitude.till now I didnt decide to write this review till I received bill $ 27 from the toll road witch I forget take my trasponder sticker on my windshield linked to my account I returned my lease on 07/07/2020 someone stole my trasponder and use it 07/21/2020 called toll road to stop this account and start investigation and bring license plates.I dont recommend this dealership neve again give them any business.back to Toyota they know customer loyalty value.thank you.
Amazing staff, from getting a great deal on my Subaru to helping me with maintenance and warranty I couldn’t ask for more. Exceeded my expectations. I went to a couple Subaru dealerships and none made me feel valued as much as this one. I could hear Desiree fighting with the bank for approval. Have never experienced this anywhere. I will forever be loyal to Subaru because of the experience they have provided and because who doesn’t love AWD. If you’re in the market for a Subaru look no further they will take great care of you. I had heard from a friend that Irvine Subaru provided excellent service and they were right.I just purchased a 2018 Outback and love it. Julio was great with the sales side, showing me the basics and answering questions. The financing was efficient and handled very professionally. Lastly my return visit to meet with Carissa was a bonus. She went over features with me, answered my questions and let me know I could call anytime with questions.I would recommend Irvine Subaru to anyone looking to buy or lease a Subaru. New or used. Irvine Subaru is an excellent dealer. They have serviced our family Subarus for several years and have always done a great job. They also repaired a fender very reasonably, and it looks as good as new. Excellent staff: knowledgeable, capable, courteous and considerate.I highly recommend them.
So far I am liking the new Subaru Outback. I have already had to take the vehicle in for service to have a piece of plastic paneling under the driver side dash repaired. Apparently the clips to hold it in place were missing, but the service department took care of it.In purchasing the car I dealt with Alex. He was friendly and helpful during the sales process, however, since receiving the car and driving it off the lot, trying to get in contact with him has been nearly impossible. He did not return calls or call back when he said he would regarding an issue with the Starlink service. I finally contacted Subarus main customer service to resolve the issue and they were fantastic. I had also sent an email to the dealership regarding the issue. I did receive an automated email stating my concern had been received, but I have never heard back from them regarding the issue. I feel it is a case of a dealership/salesperson being friendly and helpful while selling the car, but once you leave the lot all bets are off for decent customer service. My opinion at this point is: Subaru main customer service: Excellent. Irvine Subaru dealership customer service: Very disappointing. To do it over I think I would try a different dealership. I am planning to add a windscreen/deflector for the sunroof on this car, but am considering finding a different Subaru dealership to work with to get this done.2/7/2019: This is an addendum to the above review. Sebastian, the Service Manager reached out to me after seeing my review and asked what he could do to address my concerns. I appreciate his showing interest in my review and taking the time to follow up. He helped arrange an appointment with the service department to install an item I had requested. He made sure the part was in stock and made the appointment for me. At the service department I worked with Service Adviser Clemente. He was friendly and helpful and also took the time to double check that the part to be installed was indeed available before having me leave the car for the work. I appreciate the professionalism Clemente exhibited, and the work was done in a timely manner. Working with Sebastian and Clemente have definitely given me a more positive experience with the dealership, and have given me a more optimistic feeling for future visits and dealings.
