This was my first time using The Jewelry Box to replace some missing tiny diamonds and service my wedding ring. I found Dede to be knowledgeable and appreciated that she was not trying to upsell me on other things. I asked her if she thought my eternity wedding band should also be “dipped” and she suggested that it would be a waste of money. My ring was done a day earlier than predicted and looks gorgeous and sparkly again. I will definitely be back for my future servicing.

From the conversation when I took my repair in, to the execution and the time frame and the reasonableness of the cost of the repair, coupled with the quality of the work done on the repair, was exemplary. A few months ago I was in a position where I needed a platinum ring to be repaired, and I made the mistake of going to a different Jeweler. I’ve lived in Lake Forest my entire life. Jewelry Box has been in Lake Forest for as long as I remember. I first went in there when my daughter was a freshman at ETHS and I was in charge of the school calendar. The Jewelry Box always gives back to the community, always. I started going in there for my jewelry fixes when I needed them and again was always welcomed when I walked in and helped.Today was a very special day as I was able to bless my mom with a small token from my heart. Every employee in there has an amazing heart. They really do want to help you find that perfect gift without trying to sell you their highest priced item. They rejoice with you or hear your sadness. I walked out of there with a big hug, smile and thankfulness.

Love the earrings I bought, but they were overpriced for resale. These earrings are $150 retail at Tiffany’s and here they were $138 which is less than 10% off retail. I’ve bought numerous Tiffany pieces at this store and the prices in the past have always been at least 20% - 30% or more, off retail Tiffany prices. Of course I will still shop here because generally their prices are excellent, and the staff is great!

My fiance had his work cut out for him when choosing an engagement ring! I wanted an amethyst stone with an antique setting in yellow gold. One of my first questions after saying yes was where in the world did you find this perfect ring!?! He said that when he first came across this shop, they didnt have the ring I wanted. I went to The Jewelry Box to get cash for some gold and then have some rings made and I could not possibly be happier with the service and quality of jewelry that I received!!!!!! Id considered going to the mart in L.A. and then decided that I wanted to keep the business local. Id had a few dealings with the Jewelry Box for repairs and small purchases in the past so I went to see them. This was a big transaction for me and I was very nervous about it because I dont know anything about jewelry other than how to wear it. I mostly dealt with Christine but pretty much everyone got involved in my project. I went to The Jewelry Box for the first time on Tuesday to exchange 2 rings that I owned and they gave me a reasonable amount of money for them. Then while I was in the store I looked at the jewelry they have for sale. It is all so beautiful and they also carry a lot of unique piece. I purchased a gorgeous ring and had it sized. The price for the ring itself and the price to have it sized was extremely a reasonable price! It only took 2 days for them to size the ring. When I went there today to pick up my ring I fecdeci to look at jewelry again and I found another beautiful ring whichI am having sized, and I am so excited to go and pick it up when its ready. I highly recommend The Jewelry Box if you have any used jewelry that you would like to get some money for and I also highly recommend shopping at The Jewelry Box if you are interested in purchasing some new Jewelry. Every time I have walked in, I am always greeted by someone. The staff is great to work with, they made time and called me back when they said they would. I Ordered multiple items from my large family, Pricing was extremely fair and on time with the order. Definite take the time to check them out.

The staff is always pretty friendly. If you want to have a watch band adjusted or battery changed, they will do that while you wait.

Ive brought them two projects so far, the first was a silver brooch, a gift for my mothers 80th birthday, needing a pinback installed, which was beautifully done and very reasonably priced. This positive experience convinced me they were the right place to work with personalizing a silver pendant I designed for my wife, which will be a 25th anniversary gift. I was fortunate to be able to work with their designer, Maya Orosco. She worked with me on design and pricing options for 2 variations using gems, and made excellent suggestions which I took, leading to a final product I am very pleased with. The jewelers did a superb job of mounting a ruby in the pendant, and the pricing for the quality of the stone and workmanship was an excellent value. Maya also referred me to an engraver, and recommended a beautiful chain for it, which I purchased. I am happy to recommend The Jewelry Box to anyone looking for jewelry or repairs, and especially Maya for custom pieces, she is a talented designer with wonderful taste. Pricing is excellent.

Im having trouble deciding whether the owner is xenophobic or sexist. I saw another gentleman walking out so I would venture to say its xenophobia (although he was much older and dressed very nicely, so maybe its ageism too).The first time I brought them the Omega Seamaster she told me it was fake because it had a skeleton back (which a large number of Seamasters have). I didnt have the paperwork and promised to return with all the necessary documentation. When I returned a few months later with everything, including the receipt, I was told that since it was purchased in China they wouldnt buy it. Had they read the receipt they would have known it was purchased in Tokyo, Japan at the authorized Omega store in the duty-free area of the Narita international airport. When I brought up that it was purchased at an authorized store they replied that they only buy watches originally purchased in the United States.So my question is, had the watch been purchased in Zurich, Switzerland (where they are made) or maybe Milan or Paris, would they have accepted that? I would venture to say yes since they are white European countries. Or maybe they believe the US is the only place that sells real Omegas. Its truly shameful that in South County, which has a very large Asian population, they wont consider purchasing an authentic product because its sold in Japan. The definition is xenophobia. Or maybe its because Im a young male with visible tattoos. Who knows.

Brought in a Tag Heuer for repair of a broken stem and crown. They said theyd need to order the part - ok. They called back and said that they had found an original crown and could complete the repair immediately. They flat out lied. Turns out that they simply soldered my broken crown back onto the stem. It broke the first time I tried to adjust the time/date. Soldering the crown to the stem also likely compromised the seals. I didnt pay much admittedly - should have suspected it was a shoddy job. Stay away.
