AVOID THIS LOCATION! Let me preface this by saying I have been a Vera Bradley customer for years. In all of my years shopping there, I have never met a more unprofessional individual working there as I did yesterday. I had visited the store to return a gift I had received from my mother in law as a mothers day gift. I did not love the pattern of the makeup bag and already have many of them so I was hoping to receive store credit to purchase something else to add to my collection. The woman who welcomed me to the store asked if she could help me. I explained my situation and without hesitation she said I cant help you without a receipt. Many stores sell Vera Bradley nowadays. How do I know where she bought it? How do I know if she received a discount? I cant help you. Instead of offering alternate solutions she demanded that I ask my mother in law for the gift receipt, completely disregarding the fact it would be rude to do so considering it was a gift and I didnt want to hurt her feelings by returning the gift she was so proud to give me. I told her that I was uncomfortable doing that and she didnt seem to understand. She said just tell her there was some schmutz on it Not only was she rude, unprofessional and unhelpful but she made me never want to shop at this location EVER again. I will be making the trek to Walt Whitman to avoid this location at all costs. I hope they take this as an opportunity to learn how to better treat their customers with respect and offer up helpful solutions. I have no idea if the woman was the manager or assistant manager but AVOID this location if you can!!!!!!!!
