When Im out and about I like to look for unique places away from the typical franchises. I stumbled across the Rock N Grill when I was out in Lake in the Hills. Walking in you can see the place is themed in 80s rock & roll, playing the music to go along with the decor.Being my first visit, I was greeted by the friendly workers who answered my questions about the menu. I felt that I had to order the namesake Rock N Cheeseburger and added on their fresh cut fries. The burger was prepared fresh and presented open faced with the usual suspects on board (ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles), the abundance of fries lay next to the burger. The burger was grilled well and those fresh cut fries were just crispy enough on the outside and still soft on the inside without being overly oily. Top notch. The soda fountain is self serve and my only complaint here is that they do not offer free refills on the soda.Check them out if youre in the area.
Outstanding food. Place is clean. Cool rock videos, from a great era! Everything is fresh, never pre-made. Owner is a great guy, Veteran and restaurateur! We use take out when on a run. But prefer to eat there and hear some good tunes.
Amazing burgers,..I truly was impressed with their e prices. In these days of everyone trying to take advantage of everyone, this place prides itself in great fresh food at really reasonable prices. Friendly and fast! Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
Stopped in to grab a burger and walked out shocked at the authentic, deliciousness. Onion rings are the BOMB. Burger was fresh and Mac n cheese tasted homemade. Nice low key atmosphere to chill. Added bonus was the customer service. Boss came 9ut to chat with us while we ate. Very nice experience overall.
I was craving some grilled burgers and went to RockNGrill. Went here mainly cause the lines at Portillos was insane and I rather spend at small businesses.I ordered a Amplify Burger and Headbangers Burger and I am terribly disappointed. The first issue is that if you like grilled burgers you can taste the char (try portillos and tell me I’m wrong) but this burger was literally unseasoned and lacked flavor. No salt, no pepper, nothing, it lacked flavor.Let’s start with the Amplify, the burger was not seasoned and the pulled pork, it was dry. Not sure if the pork was the previous day’s batch but man was it terribly dry. The bbq sauce they used tasted like very sweet V8, super sweet and salty.Then the Headbangers burger, boy was it disappointing. If you look closely at the picture, you’ll see holes in the patty that are very similar to frozen pre-made patties, they sell at Costco; maybe RNG does it themselves to cook the patty faster, not sure but the patty was no good.I also ordered the waffle fries, it was soggy but it tasted amazing.I’m giving it 2 stars: 1 for the people (super kind and quick) and environment (pretty fun looking interior) and 1 for the fries - which was the highlight of the meal.Unfortunately, I will not be returning back.
Very disappointed. Average food, very high priced. Staff was very friendly, theme is outstanding. One and done I think. Sad to say because its a local establishment which Id love to support, but for the money I think there are better options.
I usually don’t leave reviews but best bang for the buck. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while I would suggest everyone to Atleast try it once. Great service!!!!
A gem hidden within the Randall Road construction zone. Their Amped Encore Burger with the Veterans Gold BBQ sauce is the best but you have to ask for it as it is a special request item. Add a side of RNG Mac-n-Cheese and your hunger is banished. Veteran and family owned and some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Outstanding burger! Cooked to term, delicious grill flavor, very well dressed, great fresh bun. There are less than a handful of places that can put out a quality burger like this at this price in this entire suburban area. Definitely a must try if you are anywhere near this restaurant! I want to go back for dinner!
Friendly service but the burger was nothing to write home about. The toppings were nice and fresh but they spoiled that with a bland burger patty. A little seasoning goes a long way.

Burger joint with an 80s rock design. small and cozy but dont let that throw you off, the food is outstanding!The house BBQ sauce is sweet with just the right spicy kick. French fries are amazing and cooked perfectly. Portions are filling but not over stuffing. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming.
They have some of if not the best burgers around, and the mac and cheese is always outstanding. Staff is always super friendly and makes me want to come back.

High-end burgers here! Really well made with quality meat sources and ingredients. They could charge $15 for some of these burgers but theyre under $10. Really cool atmosphere with drum shells for light shades! Owner Chad is awesome and you can tell he cares. Hes also a veteran so support these guys. If the parking lot in front is full, park by the movie theater and walk over. Its worth it.
As always, Rock N Grill has crafted us a delicious burger with crispy onion rings, spicy BBQ sauce and toasted bun. We also enjoyed the ooey-gooey Mac&cheese, fresh hand cut fries and quality hotdog. RNG just never disappoints. It’s always fresh, always hot, always generously portioned at fair prices, plus their service is top-notch.
We ordered online, and it couldnt be easier. When we got to the restaurant to pick up, all staff were wearing masks, and my order was ready to go. We got the 1/4 and 1/3 lb. burgers, and they were delicious. We really loved that they werent too salty, as so many fast food burgers are. It was super easier to customize the burger when ordering online. We also got onion rings (they were huge and very tasty), tater tots (nice and crispy), and fries (hand cut and perfectly cooked). Highly recommend!

The burgers are absolutely delicious, easily making Rock N Grill one of the best burger places in Algonquin. But the staff is what really makes this place special. Theyre always very nice, courteous, and most of all, helpful. That combination of tastey food and friendly staff is what keeps me going back.
The fries....amazing!! The sandwiches....amazing!!! My kids got a burger. It was delicious... my husband tried a bite 😏 I got the pulled pork sammy with the veterans bbq.....👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼. My husband had a wrap...also so good!! The atmosphere is fun. Its super clean and the music is good if youre into 80s rock, and like, who isnt?

Found this place by luck with all the construction going on. And I have to say best burger around! Staff is friendly and you can tell that the cook takes pride in their food! I have seen reviews about people saying that the price is high, but I would rather spend the money on quality food than anything else. Well done Rock N Grill! Even my wife who comes from Mexico says that this is the best burger she has tasted thus far in the USA and all of Mexico!
We like a lot to go out. Yesterday we arrived in this superb restaurant which friends told us about. We passed a delightful experience there with very good meal and an efficient stuff and a distinguished chef. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we will surely visit again very soon. We highly recommend.

This is a hometown favorite. Been coming here since the day they opened. The owner personally greats you and gets your order. Checks to make sure everything is the way you want it. The place is spotless. The burgers are amazing and the fries are even better. They support veterans and even carry a veteran created and made BBQ sauce. I couldnt love the place anymore than I do. You will not be disappointed.
We came here today for my Dads Birthday and it was our first visit. The food was excellent! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They even put his name on the TV to celebrate for us! We had a very large group and food came out quickly! We drove 45 min to get there and would do it again- fantastic!

Great Burger Place with an 80s Hair Band feel. Found out about this place from a friend and decided to try it out. Not disappointed. The Experimental Pretzel Bacon Cheesy burger was absolutely delicious and a must try before it goes away, if it ever does :) I also ordered the Chili Cheese frys which were really tasty, but enormous! Definitely recommend sharing that one. My Wife ordered a cheeseburger and Tots and was very happy with them as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Decor and music were appropriate for the theme. Try this place out if you can.
Just tried for the first time for small business Saturday and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Fries and onion rings were great. Fantastic atmosphere with 80’s theme. Definitely recommend.
It was a trip back to the 80s in a good way. The burger was very delicious! Even the bun was good. I had the onion rings and thought they were light and crunchy- just right. The fries were real potatoes with a little skin. Kind of like 5 guys. Kids ate them all up. Music was great and depending on when you are there you might have live music. If you play, you can pick up and axe and jam. Cool place. Have to go back.

If I could rate this 6/5 stars I would. This place has probably the best burgers and the best fries Ive ever had, and the general aesthetic of the restaurant is top notch. The owner is also super friendly. The prices arent bad, and theres a lot of variety on the menu. This is easily the best restaurant in the area.

I had a burger and onion rings they were awesome! Its like going back in time guitars on the wall and old pictures of bands. The owner is very nice and likes making his customers to feel welcome. When you go make sure you have his Mac and Cheese the best in the area.

What a fun place! Not only were my husband and I so impressed with the food, we really enjoyed the atmosphere as well! The owner stopped by our table to check on us and we shared some great memories of the music we grew up loving. We left thinking that we will have to visit again and tell our kids about this restaurant as well. As if that wasn’t enough, I must have accidentally left my purse hanging over the back of the chair. The other owner (his wife) drove over to my house and personally brought back my purse (looked at my DL to find out where I lived). You don’t even have to ask if everything was left in my wallet because kind, good people like these owners went over and above! I was so impressed with their food and restaurant, but I am far more impressed with their character! Thank you Rock N Grill! I will sing your praises wherever I go!

No pretenses, just fresh food, value-priced - and music that makes you remember all sorts of your Rock era shenanigans.Rock N Grill is still in its infancy, with the occasional stumble as they work on REALLY owning the hometown burger market, nevertheless - they have a good leg up. This is NOT fast food: all orders are prepared fresh - so whats suppose to be hot is hot, and the veggie adds are cool and crisp. For not bring hand-dipped fresh - the rings are still pretty-darned delicious. I recommend a side of the house Rock N Sauce for dipping.The fries are a good thick cut - I hope they step it up and learn to twice-fried them.Owners are super welcoming - you can feel they do it for the love of it.In a nutshell: Want a local, who-cares-what-Im-wearing place to bite enthusiastically into a fresh juicy burger - this is the spot.
Awesome fries, loved the brownie today. We love to listen to the music and play Astroids. The husband says they have the very best beyond burger he has ever tasted.

Was excited to try the Mac dog. Unfortunately the food was somewhat of a let down. Seems like they were using cheap ingredients (basic bun, cheap hot dog) Mac and cheese was made from scratch and that was the real winner of the meal! Great service! Friendly environment, would go back to try a burger which looked good. Only thing Id change is napkin dispensers instead of paper towel holders. It seems kind of unsanitary to have everyone touch a part of something youll wipe your mouth with. In fact, there were a few ketchup and other marks on the top of the roll at our table. Over all, I would recommend this place. However, there are some improvements that could be made.
I love coming here even if its not that often. The burgers are seriously the best for miles! The customer service always goes above and beyond and restaurant is always very clean and inviting. LOVE IT!! :)

One of the best burgers that Ive had the pleasure of eating! Holy smoke, this was a solid burger that I WILL come back for. The price was very awesome. My wife and family have ordered several times and have never gotten a bad meal. Chad and his family have put a lot of work into Rock N Grill where you get a great experience and a great meal! The fries and anything bbq are always awesome! Do yourself a favor, if you havent already, and run, dont walk to Rock N Grill! Tell your neighbors! Tell your friends! Plan a date night because the theater is right behind the restaurant!
The burgers are great and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is neat because it’s decked out in classic rock and roll decorations. They obviously play classic rock songs and they don’t crank the volume so you can have a conversation without shouting. The eating area was really clean and well-kept. One suggestion would be to add more burger options to the menu. I think there are four altogether and even though they are good (try the Encore) it’d be nice to see more of a variety. I’d recommend trying this place out and I definitely plan on returning.
Burgers were good, though none were exactly how we ordered them. Fries were good. Chicken Caesar salad had almost no dressing, because most of it had leaked out of the container. It would be better if they just put the dressing on the side. Overall, seemed good enough that Ill give them another try sometime.

Great theme. Food sucks. Buns r not steamed. Asked 4 well done fries. They were soggy. And the cheese sauce is so watered down it runs right off the fries. I get that no one is perfect and things happen. But the topper is when the guy got rude (no customer skills) and said i will give u the money put of my pocket and slammed it on counter. U can get the same hot for $1.19 no fries at Mr beefy on 14.

Absolutely love the Beyond Burger... Best Ive had in 10-States. Its done perfectly and made just like a regular Hamburger... Nothing fancy, just straight up lettuce, tomatoe, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayo. Also great attmosphere with 80s rock playing and memorabilia on the walls. Give this place a try... Lets help keep them Rocking for a long time!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Theyve earned the five headbanger horns!!

This is a great place to get a burger or hotdog. The french fries are the best. The atmosphere is fun and full of rock n roll memorabilia. I would highly recommend this place for a burger and fries. The owner is very friendly and really cares about the quality of the food, which is all fresh. Support the small local businesses!They have added milkshakes which are great along with hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, chili, mac & cheese and sometimes homemade brownies.
