Wonderful, warm, and very knowledgeable service from the husband & wife duo who owns Hertels Gold & Coin shop. They answered all my questions, and made the whole process smooth & easy. Will definitely be going back.

Shaun and Brandy are very knowledgeable of precious metals and collectable coins. I called 20 different coin dealers within 50 miles of lake in the hills and Shaun always beats everybodys prices. He pays more than fair if you want to sell old silver or gold coins.I have sold him Carson city silver Morgans and hes always been very honest. Most coin shops always try to underpay. Shaun and Brandy pay top dollar Everytime. Shop is very clean and always has great inventory. You will fell like your part of their family. Great honest couple. I visited this local coin shop to receive an appraisal on several collectible coins. Shaun, the owner, was thorough and knowledgeable regarding my coin collection and its value. I sold my coin collection to him and when Im ready to start collecting again Ill work with Hertels Coins.

Shaun at Hertels Coins is a good and fair business owner. I have sold coins and gold to him at his coin shop for two years now. Hertels Coins is very easy to find close to Randall Rd. and Route 47 in Lake in the Hills. I always come here as this is the best Coin & Gold shop in the Mchenry area.

I was stuck with a 2 karat diamond ring after a failed engagement (totally his fault! lol) After visiting a couple local jewelers in the area a friend of mine recommended Hertel’s Coins. I was not expecting a coin shop to buy diamonds but I stopped in and to my surprise I received a great offer and parted ways with it quickly! I feel much better now after getting some money out of this deal!

As someone with zero knowledge about coins, it was great to have someone take care of us who was knowledgeable, and didnt make me feel dumb about what I brought in.
