Im going to give this one a 3 this time cuz the day before I hit I was here the restrooms are dirty they were nasty they werent clean for 24 hours have to stall did not have toilet paper. The good news is they got a game room a pool table in a bunch of other toys inside the building that keep you busy if youre going to be here for a day.

Location is good but when Ill be visit think to sit on massage chair then after 20 seconds siren 🚨 start so we cant sit sit poor ta 😄😄😄🤣🤣🤣

I was surprised and very pleased with the professionalism of the staff, i.e. the security who went out of his way to see that I was able to get something to eat after everything had closed and the cook (Eric) that prepared that good pizza as well as Destiny who works behind the service counter. She knows service in the kindest manner. Also the mechanic who worked on my truck. They’re all great. I never had such a pleasant experience at any TA or other truck stop. Man, that team, they are the example of customer service.

They are always awesome. Their security guards can give you the Willies but they arent bad people. Theyre just always everywhere. Good prices. They are on the Get Upside app and youre in and out quickly.

I was very disappointed with there take out place Popeyes... For a 12 piece chicken tender order took over an hour to receive it. There employees to not WORK well together at all... Pretty sad when one girl gets and attitude from the other employees so bad she walks out in the middle of the shift!!!! Wont be ordering there ANYMORE!!! NEED SOME BETTER ORDER IN THERE!!!!

Card reader at the fuel pumps never work. The woman at the register is always setting down never gets up also has a bad attitude.

Truck stop audit no. 598 02/09/20 10:30pm****First impression right off when pulling in the fuel island for autos was nicely lit, and clean. Pulling around to the truck parking it was obvious there was reserved parking. I will minus one star for that. Truck stops will note they have these reserved parking for maintenance and overhead. I will argue that would be incorrect and just another money grab and gouging. My research shows reserved parking didn’t become mandatory for most stops till the E-log mandate. Most stops use this to there advantage because they know truckers are now forced to stop and when to run.****Inside the truck stop the girls working in there where very nice and professional. I had asked about a food product in the warmer ( sandwich ) I had asked about how long it had been sitting. I do believe her answer was honest in my opinion. Bathrooms where a 8 out of a 10 but was close to cleaning time but nothing serious to take a star away. Security was on site very respect when we spoken to each other, no vibes no power trips like most you’ll find in some truck stops. Didn’t have a chance to check out the shop but didn’t look like anyone was working, could have been on a call I didn’t ask.****Truck parking could use more light and slick spots from snow could use a cleaning from the snow but due to the weather the past few days it’s understandable it was not jumped on the second it stopped snowing. Sidewalk was salted from ice and cleaned of from trips and falls .****

Basic truck stop nothing fancy has a Popeyes restaurant that doesnt stay open late

Drivers: Lots of parking, easy pull in spots unless you get to the back, very large store, I only did laundry here, 3 bucks for washers and 3 for dryers, 25 min washers and dryers are 45, they got hot enough to dry a heavier load in one go so got a star for that, 4 stars only because truck stops get a lower rating immediately for serving over priced common items. I. E. Cans of soup, breads and dairy, ect. Lots of fuel islands like a boat load. Lot was free of any roaming trash and they have security in store and patrolling the lot so thats also another star. Over all I say decent place.

Just feels great to be out and about! I enjoyed myself and you will to.

Got me in, mechanic broke my stud and lug nut, waited about 6 hours(truck actually in shop) to get 2 tires. Was supposed to get on trailer tire but after he replaced the two he said he had to go to his next job in the morning and left.

SHOP ALERT: two stars because the tech was cool, he fixed the right thing and did it well, but the women behind the counter were awful. First one was the manager, gave me an estimate with no labor cost on it. Then she ducked out, so when I went to pay and I asked why it was so much more expensive than the estimate, it was a different woman and she slung all kinds of attitude at me - wouldnt look for the estimate, wouldnt tell me how to get in touch with the district manager, and called security on me over the public intercom for supposedly stealing a 99 cent Bic pen, which she later found sticking out of the shirt pocket of one of the mechanics, but not until after the guard was pointing his tazer at me and zapping the air with it.

Closed the country pride restaurant even subway pulled out ta /petro doing a lousy job of taking care of their customers but maby theyll get the notice when there business stops coming in??

Theyve taken out the restaurant, all they have is Popeyes Chicken. The place is old and out dated and the employees are slow and pretty much useless. Not very clean either. Nothing welcoming about this truck stop, its one reason I dont stop at many T/As anymore. They arent in business for truck drivers anymore.

As usual, TA Petro sets the bottom limit. No food other than warmers in the c-store, no tables, no good reason to stop.

Not too bad. Much of the staff is rude and many times nobody is behind the fuel counter to get a receipt. But other then that, the place is prerty good. The rest of the staff is nice and the food is much better compared to the other two local truck stops. There are showers after all. They are hidden in that back and are pretty clean. Good stop.

Always found parking there. No restaurant open. Some indigent people asking for food in the parking. Clean shower.

Its clean, a lot to choose from. My wife left her card at home, didnt have enough to pay & make it home, so one of the employees actually helped her with the rest & she made it home! Employees go above & beyond!

Always parking available. Staff is helpful, but the convenience store could have a better selection.

Pay attention to the mechanics, they asked me for cash, I just had to change the wiper motor, I fell asleep 4 hours later when I woke up, they said that we would take money for 120 dollars for 4 hours or give us 200 cash, I gave it away, but I was so sad

Not sure why but this place is mainly used for parking local/regional trucks. Restaurant is really good. Very clean store and facilities. Ive never used the shop because the people running the desk are less than professional and easily frustrated. Clean parking area.Good place.IMO.

The service of the mechanic shop is terrible, the mechanics are slow and very uncommunicative, an oil change took me 9 hours, believe me colleagues, your patience will be close to running out.

This is a typical modern truck stop with plenty of pumps and a well stocked convenient store, bathrooms, showers and ample parking options. They are also open late at night and the staff was very friendly.

Clean showers, with plenty of parking, security driving around all night which is good in my opinion only bad thing is Popeyes will ignore you and close at 8 pm I stood there waiting and Popeyes employees literally ignored me I said excuse me and get no response from employees

Looks like this shop refuses TA Petro warranty policy. Stuff trying to avoid the deal with the warranty case. I came here with the hub gasket leaking oil. “Technician” just swiped the rim with the rag and asked me to make a circle around the shop. After that he told me that seal isn’t leaking. Unfortunately he didn’t hear about centrifugal force.

TA in Lake Station is the greatest truck stop in America. I travel a lot and this truck stop is were you need to be. I came in the store and the employee and the manager Sharad and Alex greet you before you even walk in the door. The place was well clean well-organized. The maintenance crew does a wonderful job keeping this place clean and healthy. The security guard there was well dress well-mannered well-behaved thank you officer Armand for helping me.I would recommend this truck stop in Indiana.

Truck Stops restaurants have some of the best food! This one is no exception, My kids and I used to eat here all the time when they lived in Hobart. They have the best breakfasts! They also have really nice store and great gas prices!

I ordered a 8piece mild tender box. When it comes to my order they only had 5 mild tenders, they ask me if was ok to substitute with 3 spicy I said no. Ill wait for the mild. When I went to eat my meal they had spicy tenders mixed in with the mild wasnt happy.

Over an hour and 15 min waiting to just get into the bay to change a tire, total time has been probably two and a half hours for a OUTTER TIRE on a trailer. they are definitely not busy, all bays but 2 were open, guys standing around in the front area. Guy changing the tire, stops mid way and smokes a cigarette, I hope to never have any work done here as they move at their own pace. SLOW.

Definitely need to get some serious cleaning done... There was a lot of dirt behind the bathroom door and the whole place seems to need some fresh paint and a good cleaning

Usually one of my favorite stops. Im guessing at least 3 people handle the dishes prior to them arriving at the table. Whoever empties the dishwasher, the cook, and the server. I ordered the rib eye dinner with steamed broccoli, and the plate was delivered to the table with someone elses dried egg on it. Yuck

The mechanic Brian took his time and was thorough with his work. Tameika at the counter was friendly and knowledgeable.

This TA would be 3-star based on facility conveniences and attitudes of some staff but expansive parking with full-time security makes it our choice every time. With better food and customer service training could easily become a great place to stop.

Tried to give the restaurant another time and...FAIL. literally everything I ordered was burnt. Manager says Ill cook it myself. Ok...man returned looks great...until I flip over the French toast and its burnt! REALLY FOLKS! Good riddance. I permanently marked you off my list of places to NOT spend my money. And for our server Brittney, hun dont serve food that is burnt! Its your tip that suffers.

Have been coming here for years as over the road truck drivers. And have to spend a lot of weekend time here. Now the restaurant hours have been downgraded to Monday through Friday 6am to 11pm. Subway has been permanently closed, leaving Popeyes as the only dining choice. They dont offer breakfast, so now instead of a great home cooked breakfast, we are left with frozen microwaved sandwiches. Very disappointed with these corporate choices.

This is a good TA. The bathrooms are kept very clean. The people overall are friendly. The restaurant is clean. We had breakfast and it was good. Our waitress was great. The only downside was a table of foul-mouthed locals. No one wants to hear that first thing in the morning. I told our waitress and she said she would let the manager know. Otherwise, we had a good stay.

Lots of merchandise. A bit on the pricy side. They cater to the trucking industry! Free showers for truckers if you have the showers on your rewards card must get a minimum of 50 gallons of fuel to qualify for the showers and theyre only good for 7 days. Your able to say your points to purchase gifts!

8:00 am Saturday there is no hot breakfast food just 2 cheeseburgers that are clearly from last night and for some reasons this country pride is closed on the weekends. I will never return

One of the best service shops I’ve experienced. Treated me with the upmost respect, which is rare. They went out of they’re way to make sure my needs were met. The new general manage understands truckers and how difficult it is for us owner operators out here. I can honestly say, this is the 1st time I walked away from a service shop and not feel that I have been taken advantage of. Thanks for everything!!!! I highly recommend having work done here.

The place was nice and clean. We ate Popeyes chicken and everything was piping hot good and fresh.

Second time for me to come here to get my truck serviced, and last. Both times I was lied to. Be sure you check their work, ensure each drain plug is torqued properly, and dont expect the work to be done when they say it is being done.Edit: I also filed a complaint on the TA website and got a call back from the service manager, so Im hopeful that service may improve in the future.

All the TAs are the same, some have more parking than others. Staff is really nice, good products but many are priced too high. Good fuel. Ok showers. Food usually sucks at all gas stations.

Had a light problem, got me in as soon as it was my turn. Figured it out right away. Had breakfast in there full service resturant. Those are getting harder to find. Enjoyed the colorful conversation around the counter.

This place SUCKS! Extremely poor management. 2 hrs is nothing to wait for a shop, but I just waited at the shop door for EIGHT HOURS, then they closed. Restaurant closed on weekends, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? These big conglomerates took over the truck stop industry, then shut everything down & only open bankers hours. They care NOTHING ABOUT TRUCKERS AND THE JOB WE ARE TRYING TO DO OUT HERE! They are supposed to be here to take care of us. This is horribly disrespectful of us.

I was mislead by the good reviews, was looking forward to salmon, rice and soup and salad. The soups were two noodle based and dont they know that keeping elbow macaroni in soup will overcook it in no time. The iceberg lettuce had turned brownso we didnt order what we wanted. My husband ordered a patty melt which was greasy and soggy.The cook should know to make sure the grill is hot before grilling anything because your food will turn out greasy, and I got a simple 2 eggs and toast. Definitely wont return. Dinner was ruined!

The best thing I ate here was mushroom swiss burger. They are friendly for not being in a good area😆

Location is clean and I have never had a problem here. Security keeps out the rifraf and there is always a place to park. They will let you drop your trailer if you need to go anywhere you just need to register it with security.

Not sure if this should be for TA but the Popeyes on site was on point! The young lady behind the counter on Saturday November 11th was AMAZING!!! She demonstrated poise and control. The food was hot and fresh as well.
