I had know idea that this Ace Hardware sold gun screws, guns, and there own honey. You gotta check this place out!

Got a key stuck in my tire and couldnt drive far. Labor day, everything is closed and these awesome people put my donut on to hold me over until tomorrow!

THE BEST hometown hardware store by far!!! The staff is very knowledgeable extremely helpful, and some the best good hearted people Ive come across. I look forward when I have to go to the hardware store. Not to mention very funny as well. Been using this particular store for over 20yrs now. Very blessed to have such a GREAT hardware store so close to home.

Waited over 45 min just for them to give me the uhaul trailer, in the meantime while i was being helped about 5 other customers were being helped at the same time. Then go return their trailer and was 3 min late due to a road closed and im charged ANOTHER FULL 24HRS for being 3 MIN LATE. This is the worst experience Ive had getting a uhaul. Needless to say i will not be returning to this location for anything. If i were you id travel a few extra miles for whatever it is you need dont go here

Everything looked nice and the cashier was nice, but the one thing I came in for . . . they were out of stock. I needed packing boxes but they were out. Their boxes are one of the cheapest in the area. The ace in Hobart charges 4.99 per box!!! Ridiculous!

No one had on masks. One had one around hear ear just not on her face at all nor did the young mean they had none on completely.

Terrible customer service from a lady who is the cashier. A lady who looks like us having a very bad day. She is very overweight and rude. I went to get some keys and she had an attitude and even rolled her eyes on me when I was deciding which key style to get. Then another day, she answered the phone stating the store was closed even when it was like 2 min before closing time. I even called in advance to let them know I was on my way. It is very sad they offer rude customer service! 2 thumbs down to the rudest fat cashier ever...

Rented a truck for a move, these people were really fantastic! It took longer than we expected, but they were very understanding. I reccomend this location for all your rental services. They are great people.

They had what I needed

Went to get a UHAUL which I ordered in advance. When I picked up the truck the lady that processed it was obviously unhappy with her position. Stared at me like I was bothering her for being there. I ordered 24 furniture blankets and 1 furniture dolly with my truck. They didn’t have a single blanket and no dolly. The lady had an I don’t care about your experience attitude and basically told me take it or leave it. I think that this could’ve been told to me when I called about my order 2 hours prior. Maybe I could’ve made other arrangements. But there’s no customer service happening at this place. I work in customer service and I’d be fired if I treated people this way. Never will I do business with this location or UHAUL again.

Every time I need to rent a U-Haul truck this is the first place I go to! Theyre always friendly there fast the trucks are usually clean if not theyll clean them. I can usually rent a truck Im in and out in less than 20 minutes and on the road dropping him off its just as easy never had an issue here!

Only reason I gave 2 stars is because they had a mask, for 7.50 I gave 8 and all I got back was a receipt, the lady put down I gave exact change, she cared more about the personal call than the customers!

The customer service is nice and friendly however it gets annoying at a certain point when they continue to follow you around asking if they can help you. I would like to pick up a package and read it or just simply browse the store trying to recall the items on my list that I left at home.Yes its definitely a good thing to have great customer service but not to have the feeling that they think your gonna steal something.

This Ace Hardware is the best! I usually get just basic hardware from here and they are always helpful. I can go in and tell them what it is that is going on and they always help me find exactly what I need.I rented a Uhal from them and it worked out great. I was so very impressed by how inexpensive it was. I think this is the place to go for any of hardware Uhaul needs.

Will never come here for paint samples again. Took an hour and a half to mix up 2 samples. Kept walking away and only mixed one correct out of 4. Ridiculous next time I’ll go to Lowe’s.

Check out lady had a bad attitude. Complaining about how busy she has been and how people need to stay home and listen to the stay at home order. She needs to be lucky she even has a job like some of us are without currently. I found it to be very unprofessional. Will be going to the portage location from now on.

Do yourself a favor and dont go here for anything. The employees could careless if you get what you came for. The one lady who sits in paint shouldnt be in a customer facing position. This store will go out of business soon with customer service this bad.

I took my stihl weedwacker in for general service. I got a Call said it was complete. I went to pick it up the head wouldnt turn so I had to leave it again than I got a call 2days later said it was ready to go I pick it up but now the wires are coming out of the handle. Had to leave again. I get a call from the owners daughter couple days later she says its ready a couple hrs go by and I get a call from the owner Greg saying the the weedwacker was really messed up and if hed had known this he would have gave it back. I told him had I had known about this he would have never gotten my business so I call stihl and they call ace to find out whats going on stihl paid for the parts the owner didnt charge me anymore labor. I get a call on 5-21 the weedwacker is complete I go to pick it up Im told they will no longer be warranting the parts or labor by the daughter and to call stihl if I have more trouble. I take it outside start it but the throttle trigger is sticking. So I tell them that but now I have to take it someplace else to get some real stihl mechanics to fix it. These people the daughter and the father are completely rude I will never do business with this ace again. My weedwacker ran fine before bringing it to them this was for a general yearly maintenance. 5-29-19 update took the weedwacker to riggs in valpo. Riggs said when it was put back together they installed the trigger wrong so now need new trigger and spring. Had to order 2 wiring harness because the 2 that were in the handle were pinched. And they stripped a couple of screws on the plastic motor housing cover

The staff are incredibly rude. They didnt acknowledge us, I asked how the lady was doing she ignored me. I ask questions that get one word responses. I have been there on 3 separate occasions and every single time I have had poor service. Never go to this Ace Hardware EVER!!!! I will repost tomorrow.
