I took my daughter for her 21st birthday for her to get a tattoo. We were referred to Rock City Tattoo by my sister. Ash was my daughters artist and she did a fantastic job with what my daughter wanted done. It was simple but done right, with patients and consideration. Ash was very friendly to her. With Covid, I wasnt able to go in, but wasnt worried about anything after speaking with her on the phone and getting the appointment set. I highly recommend this place. Stop in and throw Ash some live!!

Rock City is great! Professional Tattoo & Piercing shop with talented, creative tattoo artists. Two people very dear to me have gotten tattooed by Jessi and they came out beautiful. She is one of the best artists in Lakeland!

What started as a walk-in became an appointment which in turn became art after Josh applied his magic! Wonderful experience that will be repeated in the near future with more artwork! Definitely highly recommended.

To start, this place is clean and most of the people their are very friendly. I have known people who worked here and have went with quite a few friends to get tattoos from here. I never had a complaint.... However... I suggested this shop for my wife to get a memorial tattoo, she had a rough experience.We have 3 kids, one of which is a newborn (4 mo)in a baby carrier. My wife left the 2 kids with the grandparents, but has to take the 4 month old wherever she goes. So as my wife is walking up to the shop to meet with an artist, someone outside turned her away and said absolutely no one under 16. I understand you don’t want small children running around the shop, but this was a baby confined to a baby carrier.So, moms, leave your kids at home, no matter the age, or perhaps Rock City should inform their door guard to be a little more accommodating to mothers who have to take their babies with them.... For people without kids, have at it, this place is great. As for my wife and her friend who were both going to meet with Jessie to get tattoos, they will be going elsewhere. Jessie, you can thank your bouncer for turning away 2 paying customers.

Ive known Josh for years and thus have come to know Jessi, as well. Both are beyond talented. Josh always takes care of his clients and does incredible work. Ive been going to him for years and hes the only person I trust to tattoo me. Also if youre looking for a piercing Ana is incredible and good friend of mine. She does a great job. The entire staff is incredible and I wouldnt go anywhere else but here. Rock City 5/5 👍

I didn’t get a tattoo from here, but I’ve had friends get them and they all turn out great. I called the tattoo shop to ask if they’d look at my tattoo since I had gotten it done out of town. I was having a lot of pain and had some raised spots; I have tattoos already, but I’d never had this happen before. When I got there she (I didn’t catch her name, but I should’ve) took a look at it and asked me all about what I was doing. She recommended some new after care products. My raised spots were gone after a day and my pain is nearly gone by day two! Thank y’all so much!

This place is nice and clean. Josh did my piercings and it was really quick so less painful. He washes his hands a lot, which made me made me feel like he knew what he was doing. My piercings came out awesome. I will be back 💪

My family and I have been going to Josh for many years and LOVE everything that he has done. Not once have I ever walked out disappointed. Josh and his staff are so polite and respectful. They listen to what you want and will do whatever it takes to make you happy. The shop is very clean and I would recommend them VERY HIGHLY!

I have received 3 large detailed pieces from the owner, Josh Greener, and he is one of the most talented, professional, and detailed artists I have ever encountered (I have 8 tattoos). He takes his time, listens to you and your vision, and creates works of art! Highly recommend him and his shop! I plan on having him work more on my Alice in Wonderland sleeve in the near future!

Let me tell you why you NEED to go to Rock City, its simply because of Joshua Greener. I am in the process of getting a half sleeve on my forearm with him. By far the best experience Ive had at any tattoo shop and Ive been to a few. His line work is amazing. He puts so much effort and detail into every little piece of your tattoo. I am amazed, I will not go to anyone else, Ever again. Not only is his work amazing, but he is an amazing person. I felt comfortable around him and I am very antisocial. Josh has been nothing but professional every time I have stopped into the shop. He had an answer for every concern I had. The shop is very clean and inviting. You get the feeling that it is a very sterile environment when you walk in. Im amazed at after two years all of sudden there are people leaving bad reviews all within the same one week timeline...... I have never seen food laying around when Ive been there. I brought my kid in one time because I had never been to a tattoo studio before. Wasnt supposed to be kids there, so I took him for some ice cream at Twistee Treat while my wife was getting her tattoo done. It wasnt a big deal. Now that I know I can plan ahead of time to have someone watch my kid. Its not the tattoo artists job to concentrate on my kid running around while trying to poke me with a needle at the same time.I will recommend this shop every time someone asks me where to go. This guy works long hours and tries to accommodate his customers every way possible. So much dedication that he had to sell his Harley because he didnt have time to ride it anymore because of how much he pours into taking care of his business. No man should ever have to get rid of his bike but he did it for his customers.

Ive been working with Josh on my tattoos for 5 years and Ive been pierced there. They are always professional, take all sanitary measures, and make you feel welcome. No they do not allow children in the shop but there is a reason. Children can be a distraction and I know when Im getting work done, the last thing I want to see and hear is children running around screaming.

There always has to be that one customer who thinks they are always right. I personally like the fact that children can not be in this establishment. Children can be a distraction and Im glad that is a rule here. Ive known Josh since college and the things that are being said about this ship are false. All because one customer thinks its ok to have all of her friends write bad reviews because the shop doesnt allow children. Get over yourself lady.

Don’t allow kids, I have several piercings and tattoos, usually go to the place in the mall but they’re not open… However this place would not even allow my children to sit on the seats while I looked around😡 also the two cubby woman are racist as heck and are rude if your not caucasian...spoke to the boss about them being on the phone and rude, he covered for them and made excuses....I haved lived in Cali to Baltimore or Chicago, by far the rudest, most childish employees and the least professional place I have ever been too!

A lot of places out there just slap on a tattoo and turn their noses up to you as if you have no idea how they are these michelangelos of the human skin and I am a mere mortal who doesnt deserve their time. Its not one of those places -- I kid you not, I went with my Aunt to get her first tattoo and she is very conservative and merely wanted a lady bug the size of a quarter... another tattoo shop whos name shall not be mentioned, treated her like she was an idiot for wanting something so small and they refused to do it for her because it was too small... umm, I have art on my body smaller than that. BASICALLY, just stick to what I know is good and thats Rock City... because, my friends, my name is Roman... and I know whats good.

Drove an hour to get there for their valentines special on piercings. I got there at 6:30, they dont close until 8. The girl refused to take me saying she stopped the special early. What a waist of time and gas.
