This place is by far the best consignment store around! I just bought a new home and needed to furnish every room. After hitting 7 of the top furniture stores in the area, I stopped in to see what they had. I was blown away at their inventory. Everything is in beautiful condition and the pieces are so unique. I was so overwhelmed that I had to go back the next day to go through and select the pieces I wanted to buy. Amy is wonderful. She helped me with so many selections and moved stuff around for me. Thank you Amy! I cant wait to go back frequently to check in on the new inventory. They have me as a customer for life. I dont need to go anywhere else to buy my furniture!

My experience with Amy and Robert was absolutely awesome! I am a physically challenged lady, who has difficulty walking. I recently bought a new home and I needed furnishings for several rooms. I went to Furniture & Rug, but, found I couldnt walk to shop. Instead of leaving disappointed, Amy offered to personally tour me thru her store in a wheelchair she provided! Amy is a creative decorating powerhouse, with an artistic, yet practical eye, readily able to take my disabilities and tastes into consideration, guiding me to pieces that were both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Then, Robert and Amy exceeded my expectations by visiting my home where they took measurements and viewed my space. All in all, I bought a bed frame, an oil painting, a leather sofa recliner, two wing back chairs, a dining room set w6/chairs, a large indoor rug, and a large outdoor rug, and two other beautiful works of art all delivered and placed by Furniture and Rug Collection. I then enjoyed a very fair and reasonable bundled price. Im so happy with my purchases, and I love,love,love all the compliments Im getting! Definitely recommend

Furnished almost my whole house when I moved to Florida and every furniture store were back ordered until December. Very good furniture and they were also able to order furniture and most of the time took like a week. Very understanding owners and friendly. I highly recommend this business.

I had the best experience with this store. The owners are amazing. They went above and beyond what I could have ever expected. I purchased 2 couches, a fireplace, a cabinet, lighting and throw pillows from them. (They have everything) The quality is outstanding and fit perfectly in my space. All was delivered on time and in perfect condition. They even set everything up for me. I have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so. This is a very good place to find high end items there are barley used high end consignments as well and new furniture, paintings, lighting with antique pieces available as well . Very nice store owners, and if you need help with a room there is an interior design person on staff .

I try to support local shops but this one is running a scam. I sent pictures of a sofa sectional and kitchen island. I personally went into the store and described the items in detail and they said that they would consign them for me. I filled out the paperwork and they set up an appointment for the driver to pick everything up two days later. The morning of the appointment I called to confirm the time and they said they changed their mind and would not pick it up because I had not purchased anything from their store. I never agreed to purchase anything. In fact they tried to sell my husband and I a sofa while we were there and they were attempting to pass off a clearly used piece as a new piece. They said they sometimes get pieces from showrooms but this one clearly had dog scratches on the seats and was well worn in the stitching. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of people and promising things that are not true. Don’t shop here!UPDATEregarding your ridiculous accusations in the response..... my beautiful sectional is from Ashley and is only two years old. It does not have any stains or damage other than minor wear and tear with normal use. It is certainly not dirty or old. We paid $3600 and it is well made and extremely comfortable. The dark gray material is very durable and totally in style. Your response is simply mean and untrue.

Robert and Amy are great to work with on furniture. My family has bought and sold several pieces with them over the last 10 years. They are picky for their consignments, so you know you are going to get name brand quality. Check them out, you will not be disappointed!!

Bought a couch from here and there was a pretty good cut on the back of the couch. They didnt inform me about it. It could have been cut during the delivery but I wasnt told about it until it was setup at my home and the store would not do anything about it. It sits where you can see the cut. Its a good 5 inches. Never going back here. Poor customer service. They didnt care about what happened to me at all. Beware they dont give a shi+ about you.

If Google allowed zero stars, that is what my rating would be. To say we are disappointed with the customer service, or lack thereof, is a true understatement. We have purchased furniture from this company for years and every time we get a new piece, they move the old one out. The delivery men were flat out rude to my mother, refusing to move the old couch because of a new policy that no body bothered to inform us about. We could have made previous arrangements to get the old couch out before the new one was delivered. The ladies in the store were of absolutely no help what so ever. No solution was offered, arguing ensued as well as customer blaming. Who blames the customer that just dropped 300 dollars in support of your business? All we got were excuses and flat out rudeness. I am no stranger to the customer service industry, as I have been in it for 13 years. The behavior was unacceptable and I would be ashamed to treat my loyal customers the way they did. They decided now was a good time to post their new policy after causing an unnecessary amount of distress for my mom. How about instead of excuses and blaming the customer, you get your act together and offer up a solution as well as profusely apologizing. I 100 percent do not recommend anyone waste their time or hard earned money on this business.

Check with them first before going to a high priced furniture store. You will love what you find. My family and I have done business with Robert for many years. He, Amy and his great helpers are always helpful and respectful. They have consigned many beautiful pieces of furniture and rugs for us and have always treated us with much respect and given us a fair price. This is one of my favorite places to find a treasure or a needed piece of gently used quality furniture. There is always something new, never any junk and some great antiques. The owners are awesome and the service is great. They delivered a few items to me on time and without any problems and they are willing to negotiate on price. Its hard to walk out without buying something.

As an owner of a small business, I rarely do this, but extremely disappointed doesnt begin to cover it. A friend let the store know that I had a photo leather sofa that I wanted to consign the shop happily called and set up a date with no questions asked about the condition of the furniture. Overall,it is in good shape but it does have a couple places that have some wear. They were kind enough to start their day early to accommodate my work schedule. Unfortunately, someone wrote the address down incorrectly and so the poor drivers went to the wrong house even after I had confirmed it the day before. They came back and I thought everything was OK until they started loading the pieces. Then they pointed out the pieces with somewhere and said that they couldnt take it. I was shocked. I had had potential buyers for this online and had turned them away because of the arrangement I had made. They insinuated that I had been untruthful in the condition of the furniture. This was simply not true. No one had asked. I feel that there should be a better process for assessing such a large piece of furniture that wouldve avoided wasting everyones time. The other disappointing part is that, as often happens when one piece of furniture is changed out, I was going to have many other pieces that I would have placed with them.

I have purchased furniture from Design Furniture Consignment, and I have consigned there as well. My experiences have been great. I have found that their items are nice and there is a good turnover. Always something new! Their prices are fair and and the folks are responsive and really nice to work with!

This business was recommended to us by friends and we were so pleased they did! Lots of very cool items to look at ~ no pressure sales ~ willing to make a deal ~ and even helped carry out the sofa! If you are looking for good furniture at reasonable prices, this is the place.

I am going in on Friday to pick up my roll top desk. I am so excited. I was looking for a small desk, but never dreamed I would walk in and find this desk immediately. It is perfect...exactly what I wanted in a desk...smaller size, drawers, cubby holes and a lock and key! I love this place and the owner is fantastic. You can even get on a wish list!! I found this place by accident and have to say it was the happiest accident I have ever had. Wish I could give it 1o stars.

They had occasional tables I was interested in, but they were not complete sets. They either had a coffee table, but not the end tables or visa versa. The did have complete sets, just not ones I liked. I will check again in a week or two.

I’d give this place zero stars if I could. I know the actions of one employee rarely represent the company, but my understanding is this is a “family business,” and poor behavior is usually passed down.My Grandmother decided to give this company her business and they didn’t want it. They were to pick up the furniture, inspect it, and sell it. Simple enough, right? Too simple, apparently, for the simple-minded jerk who mistreated my family.This sad excuse of a person met my Grandmother and my Mother at the temperature-controlled storage unit where he was to pick up one sofa and one loveseat—pieces far nicer than the majority of what is in their showroom. Loading furniture must be all this man can do without maligning the unfortunate company he was chosen to represent, because when he asked for the $20 pickup fee, my family requested a receipt that outlined the furniture he was picking up and the monetary exchange, and he declared that he didn’t give receipts. He also, interestingly enough, lacked business cards, or letterhead stationery, or anything that had the logo of this “business”—even the truck had no logo on it. (How can these people—who have been “in business” for over 20 years—call themselves professionals?)When finally this idiot produced a small magnet with the company’s name and phone number on it, my mother tried to photograph it in place of a receipt. This employee—who never even introduced himself—told her that she wasn’t allowed to photograph the magnet, and instructed the poor guy who was helping to load the furniture to then unload it. He then had the nerve to tell my family that they were “done here.”To that man, who I assume is a Wakely (your family name holds no clout to me now, nor will it ever): Who do you think you are to turn down the business of my Grandmother—whose own business credentials in Polk County and beyond far outnumber yours? I’ll answer for you: you are nobody. She deigned to give you people her business and you didn’t want it, and I find it difficult to believe that your company is in a position to be refusing business.I may not live in Lakeland anymore, but I will do everything in my power to ensure that nobody I know in the area, family or otherwise, does business with you ever again.

If I could give a ZERO I would. When two guys arrived at my house (Wayne & Daniel), I asked politely for them to move their vehicle away from my neighbors driveway. Wayne would not move the vehicle. Wayne denied my leather couch sectional and then went to the bedroom to take the bedroom furniture. He did not know how to the deconstruct the Armoire and assumed I would know how. Wayne began to lecture me that there was no way this was a two piece armoire. It is. I was ASSURED by Jan/Jessie that these guys had 16 years of experience and I had nothing to worry about. AVOID this business. A complete waste of my time.As a final insult, Wayne told me he didnt like my attitude, said have a good day and walked out.

We recently purchased a home in Lakeland and furnished it with a lot of furniture from this consignment store. Everything is excellent quality with superb pricing which is 1/3 the cost of buying new. The staff are very friendly and help you load your purchases. We will continue shopping at this store for every room in our house!

Amy & Robert run a superb operation no question about it...There are no less than 3 competitive, Furniture Consignment stores in South Lakeland within a quarter of a mile of one another... My wife and I have made purchases within the past month at all three stores. Amy and Robert have built a terrific business and reputation with their store and one doesnt have to be a Purchasing Customer to take note of that fact. We have made several significant furniture et.al. purchases at their store within the past month and we will most certainly be back! The merchandise they sell is probably some of the best consignment furniture in the market bar none... They are easy and fair to deal with throughout and make it a point to let you know they not really appreciate your business, but readily take note of repetitive visits. We highly recommend their store and if you dont see what you want on the first visit go back in three or four weeks and check again... The turnover of their furniture is remarkable to say the very least... It speaks volumes to the type business they run and run successfully. Thanks guys!

Very beautiful furniture

Wanted to sell a a log bed set. However they wanted to say that the wood had cracks in it and was stained up. The pieces are a log wood furniture there are no stains on it either. Funny things is they sold it that way to me 3 years ago. They must not sell too much furniture if they dont realize log furniture is supposed to have the natural cracks in it.
