Love that the Betta fish are in tanks and not plastic cups. First Betta passed quickly due to the water chemistry going haywire but they helped me get good bacteria for tank and new Betta is most active Betta ever had. He reacts when I walk in the room and following my finger and its only been 10 days. Staff is great and they really care about the animals they sell.

They are friendly and amazing. My daughter loves animals and every time we come in just to see the new fish or hamsters. They are still just as nice and understanding. Thank you

Pet world is awesome. You can pet the hamsters! Everything you need for almost all pets! Admittedly didnt see a lot for reptiles. But birds, fish, rodents, dogs and cats! I got my doggos some duck feet for $1/piece! Support local businesses!

Beautifly old school. Quality products and staff. Its clear that the animals are their first priority but I cant say enough for their customer service. It may be all family but if its not I certainly got that impression anyway. Warm and knowledgeable, true and through. Stop in if for no other reason, then to feel that old pet shop feel. Kudos

This is a great store! I get both my dog and cat food there. The food is organic with only natural flavors. The animals love it. I also like that the brand I buy does a promotion, when I buy 12 bags the 13th one is free.

Really wanted to help shop locally and try a new store since I pass this location on a daily so 1st time customer walking in and no greeting which was fine he was ringing somebody up, i was walking around trying to find the dog aisle and felt someone watching me so I turn slightly and noticed he started trying to stock something up behind us and it’s a pretty small cramped store he then proceeded to follow us. he automatically assumed I was stealing or something do you not get a diverse amount of customers here? Because I literally don’t come off as a crack head or someone whose gonna steal I’m a single mom thats 22 and even had my child with me anyways that was annoying so I bought an overpriced dog toy and left which was unfortunate because my daughter wanted to go to the back and see the birds and fishies they had but I just felt so uncomfortable after that I said definitely not. Really shouldn’t have bought anything from there tbh Should’ve just went to petsmart it’s down the street.

Very clean and packed with all types of animal/pet items. Happy employees work here and are truly there to help you find what you need. They have very healthy birds, guinea pigs and hamsters. We purchased a bird there and so happy we found a healthy one. Wish I could say the same for other places we looked. Glad we found Pet World in Lakewood.

My daughter and I had the best experience with this store. We were looking for a teddy bear hamster and stopped at three pet stores on the way to this one. This one had EXACTLY what we wanted. We could not have found a more perfect person to help us. Becky stayed with us for a LONG time and was a walking hamster encyclopedia. She answered every single question we had (at least 20) and never made us feel like a bother. Her love for the animals was very apparent. She put us both at ease with our new sweet hamster. We purchased the special hamster feed sold by the pound which is awesome. We will be back! So glad we found you!

Honesty, I was expecting betterI was hoping this place would be better than petsmart and petco in how they take care of their animals but I was more than wrong. There is not enough space for the hamsters in their cages and not all of them have hideouts to even be in so they are forced to lay in corners terrified. I thought they would be more knowledgeable of hamsters too but i was disturbed to see one only getting not even 1/4th of a space that it should need. People need to do more research about hamsters this is completely inhumane and I refuse to support any business that treats animals like this. They are better off just selling pet supplies in this way.

My 7-year-old son purchased his first pet fish here. The woman working in the fish department was helpful, kind and patient (one has to be patient while working with a 7-year-old). Weve had the fish about a month, so far so good! She explained everything he needed to know about caring for his new pet. I was happy to be supporting a local business!

Best pet store in town. Very knowledgeable, friendly staff. They are always willing to take the time to answer any questions and talk to their customers. I appreciate how the staff are willing to say when they are not certain of an answer and will take the time to find the right/best answer to the best of their ability. Prices are good, comparable to the big chain stores. Good selection of quality products for several pets. My birds love their fresh food mixes and fresh millet seeds. The animals they have are all happy, healthy, cared for and obviously cared about. They have a macaw who is always fun to visit and talk to. They also provide services such as beak, nail, and wing clipping for birds for a reasonable price. One of my budgies needed his beak clipped and they were very professional and gentle with him. My bird left very happy and not at all stressed from the experience. I highly recommend this store, if you havent been there yet you definitely should go.

The staff were nice and greeted my family and I. The issue I had was the only thing they had in stock was birds and some fish. There website shows a large variety or pet options but everything is empty. I dont know if it is the current COVID conditions but I would think the website would be updated to reflect a very different variety of stock.

Been friendly over the years, but constantly out of stock on what I want to buy. Now require clown masks to enter. I dont dress for Halloween or for circus to buy pet supplies. Good riddance.

For a local store they had awesome fish and has a big bird selection.... I would give it more stars if they had a reptile section only thing they had was a few aquatic turtle items but thats it. Dont go expecting to find lizards, lights, bulbs ect.

Ive only shopped their aquatics area. They have a nice freshwater and saltwater selections. They dont keep too their tanks overstocked. I love that they separate their bettas into the large tanks and not in the tiny cups. The aquatics girl is always nice and they will keep an eye out for fish that you request when they order. Great idea to join the fish club if youre bound to be a repeat customer, it saved the amount I spent on it the first time I purchased fish from there.

I came for a fish for my kids and left with more than expected including knowledge as I learned alot.. The CSR who helped us was super freakin awesome as she gave us full legit details on how to care for our new family member(fish)she looked out with giving us details about each product n the difference in prices,giving us a choice to pick what will better meet our needs rather then trying to just sell us the most expensive thing which means alot for us..She taught us alot from sea water fish,and what it takes to care for one.I highly recommend this place for sure.Also gotta mentioned it did not stink which is important to me.

This location properly quarantines fish and will not sell them early. They actually care about the fish they have in stock. They are all very happy and healthy, and they have a decent selection for a shop of thier size. Under the fish they have a decent selection of hardscape and wood. Always super helpful and willing to answer questions. I literally wont buy livestock anywhere else in Colorado if Incan buy it here first.

Pet World is a great place to get supplies for a variety of different animals and have some live animals for sale. Very knowledgeable staff.

I use to stop in for fish and supplies after church on Sunday. If I remember correctly they open after 12.00 on Sunday. Anyway check times before you go. They have just about anything you might need for fish. They the crew seem to be real knowledgeable about fish so stop in and see them. Take the young one with you they will enjoy seeing all the fish.

My favorite local pet shop by far. They have so many options for all your different pets. They always have adorable hamsters and Guinea pigs. In the back they have tons of variety in aquarium supplies and fish both fresh and salt water. The staff seem to very genuinely care about animals and customer service. They have baby birds even (those always sell early so be warned). One of the only places i can find my cats food.
