Visiting in Lakewood, we found this gem for subs. deli meats cut right in front of you on tasty bread. I had the hook and ladder: roast beef, turkey, cole slaw, etc. VERY good size and reasonable pricing without gimics. Just a good old fashioned deli sandwich and meat place. Been there since 1983! Independent place well worth the stop. Can’t see how the other hipster place can compare.

Awesome sandwiches, great prices. My new go to spot. I have to tell a quick story. I went there and ordered 6 sandwiches for a picnic at Lakewood Park when it was kind of busy. One of my sandwiches was missing, so I called them, and they actually DROPPED OFF THE SANDWICH at Lakewood Park. Customer service at its finest. Wish I could give them 10 stars.

The sandwiches are delicious. Can’t recommend their food enough. Only advice I have is to call before you go. The last 3 times I’ve gone out of my way to stop there only to find a sign on the door that says they’re randomly closed (during hours they’d normally be open). Needless to say, that’s a bummer.

Fantastic sandwich spot and meat counter. Staff very friendly, been doing the same thing forever and please dont stop. TJs you rock!! Butchers Blend on rye with some horseradish cant be beat anywhere in the city.

Unbelievable sandwiches for unbelievable prices! Great sides too like soup of the day and macaroni/potatoe salad. They also sell meats like sausage .... and everything is homemade!

A fantastic butcher shop and deli, with fresh made sausages, great lunch meats and butcher cut specialties. Friendly folks. John is a wonderful and friendly guy. I highly recommend the sandwiches. They have some creative offerings that are of top quality. The soups are second to none. They taste like home made.

I love this place. They have reasonably sized sandwiches (read: not enormous) for a reasonable price, the staff are always very friendly and helpful, AND they sell quality meat too! Their house made sausage is amazing, and last time I was in there for ground beef they ground my chuck to order. Im a TJs fan forever now.

A little pricey

I love to stop in here and grab a great pastrami sandwich when I load up on steaks and other meats. Theyve got a great selection of tasty sandwiches, salads and beverages. If you happen to be in the area, and are headed to one of the fine parks in Lakewood, I highly suggest that you pop in here, and create your pick-nick basket on the go. :)

Top shelf roe meets, great selection of European style cold cuts, about two dozens of different sandwiches and much more! Convenient place to grab a quick, filling and healthy lunch or to buy something substantial for dinner. Love it and recommend it!!!

Outstanding Butcher, great sandwiches, always a quality product. When I go to TJs its like walking back in time, but in a good way. They always have fresh quality meats and great service. When Im picking up a special item for the smoker, Kevin is always curious what Im up to and has advice on his available rubs, sauces etc.Picking up a deli sandwich is always a nice treat. Cant be beat in Lakewood.

Staff is really awesome and the sandwiches are killer. The bacon is the best in the area and the Slovenian sausage is unreal. Pork chops, sausage, burgers, steaks, sides, etc. Best butcher around.

I really enjoy the Chicago pastrami sandwich, I highly suggest it. I also enjoy the selection of drinks to go with the sandwiches. Also meat there is very good.

This was not my first time there. Today I got smoked turkey,cole slaw and a pickle about the size of a lakewood school bus. I had some cheddar cheese at home with some small pita type bread. Heated up the bread,put the cheese on with some slaw and of course, the turkey. One badass sandwich. Thanks to Elizabeth and TJS. Oh yeah,if you like good chili get some. Great
