Superscript Comics and Games is a great shop, and best of all its run by good people who have built a welcoming community and friendly, inclusive space to explore games, comics, and hobbies. Theres a mix of mainstream and indie titles, with something for everyone. If ever Im looking for a new game or comic for myself or someone else, I can rely on the Superscript team to make the perfect recommendation every time. They have an awesome loyalty program and are so kind to everyone who walks through the door, and they host some great in-person and virtual events. The shop is always so well organized and inviting. Id recommend Superscript to anybody even remotely interested in comics and games--their passion is infectious!

Superscript is a great shop. Its clean, well organized and fun. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The crazy thing about all of this is, the store has only been open for a year... and they opened during a pandemic!!! It really is a awesome store, and if youre looking for something they dont have, the staff can special order items for you. All you have to do, is ask. Keep up the good work.

This is a beautiful store in every sense of the word. It looks beautiful, the staff treat everyone beautifully, and most importantly, the community that has grown up around the store is beautiful. They are welcoming and kind and respectful to everyone. The staff is helpful and kind. If there’s anything you need and they don’t have, they’ll order it for you. I have found stuff for myself and for my young kids here. They have something for everyone. If you have a question, someone has the answer, either a staff member or sometimes even someone who is just hanging out. I probably visit every couple of weeks for games, hobby supplies, or comics (or all the above). I would recommend Superscript to anyone and everyone. Good job Superscript! You’re awesome!

This is a well organized, clean, beautiful nerd store. I found several elegant space doll paints and a sophisticated Mork Borg book. I was very confused about a large number of things and the staff put my mind at ease. It was a terrific experience. I cant wait to go back. I would give superscript comics and games SIX stars, but unfortunately the cashier did NOT look like a wizard.

Great store with an exceptional staff. I make it a point to stop whenever Im in the area and always leave with a new comic recommended by one of the staff members. Theyre awesome at making suggestions based on what other comics you enjoy. Absolutely worth your time if youre into comics or table top games!

I love this store. I honestly go out of my way to buy stuff from here, because the staff is made up of lovely humans, and the selection is great. Theyve turned me onto books I never would have picked up and its been awesome. Definitely hit the store if youre in town, and hit the site if youre not!

Incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Does not have the pretentious feel that comic shops often do. Went in with my son to look at board games and Sean was knowledgeable on damn near every game in the shop. I had a hard time finding a trade, and Elliott found it and had it on order in minutes. Could not recommend higher.

Excellent place to pick up some new comics and board games. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help you find something new and exciting to read or play. This store also has a great Magic the Gathering community full of helpful and welcoming people that create a wonderful environment for people new to the game or someone coming back after some years off like myself.

Wow this place is AWESOME! Great local gem. Tons of new and modern comics to choose. I really REALLY like how they show staring points for new readers (look for the yellow arrows in the comic stacks) where would be good points to start. I think that is incredibly smart and helpful, picking up a new hobby is intimidating and sometimes asking where to start is a dangerous question in a comic shop.Walls of board games and figurines this shop has everything from Warhammer, D&D, funko pops, and I think I saw them hiding an infinity gauntlet in the back (shhhh don’t tell Thanos).I can’t wait to come back. This is a nice size of a store for comics. However this store didnt really have any Indy comics. It would be a great store if you are only I interested in Marvel and DC comics. The staff was friendly.

Perfect in literally every way. Always got the newest comics - access to any independent jams they dont already have in stock - will special order whatever you need - bought my 100 year old phyrexian dreadnaught - didnt shame me for playing a sliver deck even though it never wins - gave my dog a treat for being good - every employee is attractive. Great comic / board game shop in Lakewood. Staff is always friendly. Prices are right. You can sign up for a membership and add points towards getting discounts off orders, also a 10% on trade paperbacks is real nice.I like it. My wife likes it. Highly recommended.

A great little spot for all things tabletop and comics! Sean was very polite and friendly the whole time we were there, no matter who walked through the door, he was extremely welcoming. Were from Michigan and were just passing through, but Im sure well be back again next time were in the area!!

This place is great and a little bit of a hidden gem! The people who run the store are super nice and helpful and always seem to have really cool stuff in stock. I can always find new boardgames there that Ive been looking for. If you havent read it yet, totally check out Whats Michael here! That comic is adorable and worth a quick peek.

I’m not well versed in the inner machinations of board games and comics, however, my boyfriend loves this place. If I’m a good little girl he will bring me Pokémon cards (I collect the cute and shiney ones, sue me). 10/10 service, nice strapping humans in there, and hey, if my mans prefers their company from time to time, who am I to compete?? He ain’t dangling his pickle around barley house or ivy. Also they have every color of dice you can imagine and some lil plushie toys that please me when he drags mein there. Moral of the story just spend your money here!!

Ive been waiting for a game store to return to Lakewood for a long time and I wasnt disappointed. The store is clean, well organized, and very diversified with attention to lots of different hobbies from minis, tabletop RPGs, boardgames, and comic books. The staff is really nice and knowledgeable, and are taking Covid seriously by keeping social distancing and limiting the amount of people who can enter at a time. One of the staff members was walking a little girl through selecting a comic book and it was adorable. Theyre also trying their best to build a community and hold what events they responsibly can during the plague times. 10/10, great place!
