Kevin (owner) and staff are fantastic to buy and sell gear to and work with. They have a great selection of whatever you need. Theyve helped my family over the years with skis, ski boots, skateboards and bikes. Its great to do business with a local company.

Wont be able to recommend if you have equipment to sell. Sent 2 emails to them and received no replies. Took brand name elliptical (heavy duty) to them expecting to get a minimal price for it. We unloaded, they tested and everything was working well. Then someone else from the store said they didnt want it, so we loaded it back up and departed. Looks like good business practices might need to be looked at. We wouldnt want others to experience what we did, so wont be recommending to anyone.

Friendly staff with lots of knowledge on the gear they have. Definitely the spot to get sports gear for kids for team sports. Football and hockey pads galore.

Excellent sports gear shop. Clean, well, organized, and nice selection. They are honest and reliable, and were prompt and communicative in responding to a return/refund issue I had on my credit card after returning an item to them in store. You can trust these guys.

Just blanked on the employee’s name, so now I feel bad. I think it was...Riley. Maybe. This was two Sundays ago. Anyway, I was blown away with how helpful he was. On a spur of the moment decision, I signed my son up for an ice hockey class (he can ice skate though), and had one hour to get him gear. I called ahead and the employee walked me through every piece of gear my 6-year-old needed, head to toe. I didn’t even know what all he needed. I told him I also had to keep it as cheap as possible. So, he made great suggestions and specifically picked out brands and pieces that were affordable for us. He also showed me how to dress my son in all the gear. He saved us from being extremely lost. Thank you!!! My son was totally prepared gear-wise and is loving learning hockey.

I dont know about other sports, but if youre in the disc golf this is not the place to go to. Every time Ive ever went into one of these places anywhere in the country they have used discs marked up to higher prices than they would be sold at a disc golf store new.

Bought my daughters school backpack here. It only lasted half the school year and I almost sent it in to Jansport to get repaired. Thought Id check in with Sports Basement to see if I could get warranty (lifetime) service through them, and what do ya know?! Drove in with a broken backpack and out with a new one!

Pretty sweet selection and pricing on second hand skis, snowboards and boots. Picked up a sweet board with bindings and boots for the season. Highly recommend checking them out!

Pleasantly surprised. They offered fair prices for used equipment. I would have given 5 stars but they wouldnt take a couple of mountain bikes because they were too old. Of course they were 25+ years old... But, they were in great condition for old bikes!

Went in to get my wife ski boots. They had no larger sizes.We did find a great deal on a set of golf clubs for our grand daughter.

I was greeted and offered service in a timely manner. The owner or manager was leading his staff in projects they were to complete. They sold me a cheap helmet I was looking for and made a quick easy sale. I got told immediately if they didnt have something I was looking so I didnt have to waste any time browsing or, looking for someone to ask.

Large store with a friendly and helpful staff. Tons of items to choose from. Some items are priced higher than expected. I will definitely return to this store.

I usually go to the Boulder store out of convenience But, I am SO happy I went up to this store! They actually had the KT tape in stock. They took the time to answer ALL my questions and even showed me new equipment. Hands down-- my new favorite play it again store!

Nice staff, good values, and I was able to trade in for what I wanted. The only reason I rated this 4 instead of 5 stars is that the communication was so poor; I would leave messages for the owner and he struggled to call me back, even when he assured me hed call me about the product I wanted to buy. Still, everyone is pleasant and helpful despite that hitch. Id buy/trade there again.

The employees are very helpful and friendly! When you need help finding something they dont just point and say its over there. They personally show you! My son was looking for catchers gear. The employee explained why he would recommend one type over another. He helped my son try on the helmets and put on the gear. He explained to me how things should fit and why. They go above and beyond! I have shopped here multiple times and have had a great experience every time.

Traded in my skis today at this business. The staff was very friendly and they were straight up about how much theyre trying to sell items for.

Just had a great interaction selling my treadmill to Play It Again Sports! I reached out via email to Kevin last week with pictures and he came this afternoon to pick up. They were extremely professional throughout the process, expertly dismantling and maneuvering the equipment out of my basement. I would highly recommend them.

Good place to sell your lightly used equipment if youre not using them. A big selection for equipment that you dont want to spend too much to start off with.

Lots of similar equipment types and not a great deal of variety. Staff was nice enough but masks and social distancing were not required or enforced dispite the state mandate.

I have been to just about every Play it Again Sports store from Westminster to Colorado Springs. This in was BY FAR the best experience. My son just started baseball, and the staff was very helpful in giving me the baseball gear 101 lesson and selecting all his needed gear. My daughter got a great price on a Bauer NME goalie mask, as well as replenishing her softball supply. Definitely my go to store in the future!

Wanted to buy some hockey skates here... found a pair I liked OK with no sticker, guy priced them at $70.00 - well they were pretty worn down, laces were starting to break apart and the steel was getting low too...but I liked the fit so I asked if I could trade in my current skates (too big) but they said they were too beat up (thats exactly how I bought them from that same store) its true my skates were beat up but so were the ones I was trying to buy - I could have lived with not trading mine in- but $70 was way overpriced for those junior skates

Uh? No. I don’t know where these guys get their pricing information, but it’s a hard pill to swallow. Apparently, they need to get rich off every transaction.I was in looking for golf equipment, trying to save money and buy used, and I found a lot. Unfortunately, it was all ridiculously overpriced. They’re selling 10-year-old irons for MORE than the cost of buying them new…I thought for sure that they would coat everything in gold as I walked out the door after paying such prices… But it turned out that is not the case.I’m a regular at PIA sports, all over Denver, but not this one again.If you’re looking for decent golf equipment, you’re better off just buying new.

This store is awesome! I was really struggling to sell a treadmill that I had before I moved. I told them about my limited time frame and they worked hard to communicate with me about price. They came out and picked up the treadmill the same day. Great work, could not be happier!

Purchased a snowboard with the store managers help. Im new to the sport and finding out he convinced me to get a board that will be terrible for me to use. Im super pissed because I could have purchased another setup from them that was far more suitable but he clearly wanted to make a extra buck off me and sold me the more expensive less fit board. Not cool because I planned on buying a pair of skis from them but I definitly wont be. Shady business is not cool especially to people trying to enjoy a new sport!

I trusted your staff members recommendation on a mountain bike for my birthday only to find out after getting it checked that you scammed me. I am new to mountain biking, I looked this bike up and they sold it to me for more than what it is new and doesnt even have original parts...You sold me a bike for $350 with faulty/broken/damaged parts. Some of the parts arent even fit for the bike!? Now Im out $350 and no bike for my birthday (bc I traded in my really nice customized single speed originally $375). Thanks Play it Again Sports... Youre as shady as they come. I was dealing with a manager or owner btw. If youre serious about your gear obviously dont get it from here. Lesson learned.

Bought a pair of youth football pants for my grandson and when he put them on we were missing a knee pad. I called the store and they were zero help! So much for saving $$$! Iwill not stop there again!

Your “customer service “ reps working the shop on Sunday didn’t even offer to help carry the weights my son and husband were going to buy - a set that was 95lbs total. They stayed behind the counter when we were carrying the weights back and forth. When I asked my husband if he really wanted to purchase something from people that don’t provide any service, the rep behind the counter said he doesn’t help people that are condescending. My husband told him that customer service goes a long way and the rep said so does asking.Not sure what world these kids live in, but you shouldn’t have to ask for service from someone getting paid hourly to provide it.You missed out on a sale of 100+ due to the poor attitude of your reps.

Dont waste your time, like I did, if you want to get a fair value for your used equipment. Took an almost new driver in there to sell and they offered me a riduculous price that was 60% BELOW the trade-in value of the guide they use. Fair enough, some people are stupid or desperate to sell. Thats their business. But then the guy proceeds to out and out lye to me saying that if they bought the club they would resell it for basically that trade-in value. HA! I had just walked around their store and saw their prices. Deceptive and dishonest.

Called 3 different locations to get rid of some sporting equipment. Lakewood said they would take it after two store said they where over stocked. Drove 45min to be told they were overstocked too. Waste of time. Will be donating equipment to the boys and girls club. Train your people!
