1st time for me ever going to this liquor store. And I wish I would have known of this place a long time ago. I was extremely surprised at the tremendous sltremendous selection they had. As a whiskey connoisseur were always outlooking for hard to find liquors. And when I walked in there I was just totally blown away of all the stuff that you almost never see another liquor stores yeah stores. What a nice surprise. For those of you that are always on the hunt for that next unicorn I would suggest going here

The cheapest liquor store Ive ever been to in Colorado, and an excellent selection of local beers.

Theyve got the best prices in town but as a woman I only feel safe going here with a partner or during the day. Try to stop by at night and the parking lot is filled with creeps and drunks. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful however, so I cant blame them for the weirdos that lurk around.

My past experience is here have been great, my third experience they wouldnt take my digital copy of google wallet ID due the fact it was not on the colorado digital id app. My Google ID would allow them the same information if they just had scan the barcode. I not only felt that this is unfair i also feel that the state should not enforce only one way by colorado digital ID to prove who i am.

There have been times I drove all the way from Evergreen just to shop here. The staff is friendly and gives you a welcomed feeling. Prices are perfect, and I believe the owner does wine tasting/testing on tuesdays? Cool to know he is directly involved with his company.Highly recommended even if you need to drive a few extra miles.

This place doesnt look like much from the outside but has an incredible selection inside. A bit short staffed but, employees were friendly and knowledgeable despite being busy at the counter. They are the only place that had Game of Thrones themed alcohol that Ive found between Denver & Colorado Springs. Will definitely be back next time were in Denver!

Great selection. One of the larger selections of whisk(e)y Ive seen in Denver. Offers great store picks of some of the harder to find budget bourbons and others. I regularly drive up from Highlands Ranch to see what they have and to support a local business with friendly staff.

This is a must visit store when I travel to Lakewood! The overall selection is excellent and the prices are often the cheapest. Ive not experienced tired, grumpy or disgruntled employees and have always been greeted kindly when walking through the door. Parking is sometimes tricky but definitely worth the stop.

Great liquor store in a convenient location, good prices and selection. Its not Applejacks or Argonaut, but they always have something new to try and most all of our favorites.Social distancing is observed, and the staff is always wearing masks. They also keep the line moving quickly and efficiently so you dont feel like youre waiting forever even when theres a goodly amount of people in there.Ive gotten everything here at some point; well, not every actual thing, but every kind of thing youd probably go to a liquor store for. Specialty beers the grocery stores dont carry, wine, liquors, mixers and more. The one downside is that they dont have the room to keep every random thing I really like in stock at all times, so if it comes down to keeping the thirteenth kind of pumpkin ale in stock during the season or making room on a couple shelves for dark spiced stuff for Christmas, its understandable that they rotate things. Overall, Ill be back regularly.

This is a relatively small square footage store but incredibly diverse. Their craft beer selection is only surpassed by the few superstores. They dont have as large a wine collection as the few but they have quality as well as the popular. The owner is a very well- versed oenophile. Above all, the prices are as low or lower than anywhere else. Save time and aggravation, get what you want as inexpensively as possible. I remember that 60 years ago this was a family owned drugstore. In the old sense. Now, entrepreneurship and dedication have carried on the Philnor family name as well as providing an excellent experience.

Cheapest liquor you will find. 750 ml of smirnoff cinna sugar flavored vodka was only 6.99 when every other place its atleast 19.99. Friendly staff too. Open til 11:55pm to every night. Super happy about that as well.

Been going here for several years and have never been disappointed. Workers are always very helpful and friendly. The selection of beers, wine and liquor is one of the best on this side of town. The prices are all very competitive and usually the lowest around. I bought a Don Julio 1942 bottle here at $108 and everywhere else was over $120. Besides the run down look of the store its the best liquor store in Lakewood!UPDATE!!Went in there today 10/5, to buy liquor and was turned away due to my make up from the zombie crawl that was taking place. Ive been a very good customer and was told by the owner himself that I wasnt a close friend and he couldnt serve me, because I had make up of a zombie.. I asked the guy if it would be better of I took my mask (just a hair piece) off and that wasnt good enough.. This is the upmost disrespect to me because Ive spent hundreds of dollars here.. This dude can sit here with his many expensive cars and never sit on his own counter, getting to know me or anyone of the neighborhood customers the hundreds of dollars that I spent.. Not a good way to treat people that feed your family..

Local liquor store. Owner is very knowledgable about everything alcohol, particularly wines. Tastings take place weekly, check for days and times. Ive been going there for years and have never been steered wrong. I patronize mom and pop stores when possible.

Unkempt inside and out. The Porsche outside has got to be owners who must not think the neighborhood worth his money to dress the place up. However, he has no problem letting the the same nighborhood support his business.

Bargains on booze, a great selection of beer & wine, and staff that knows what they are talking about when it comes to a good adult beverage or recommendation.

I have just left from this liquor store (9:29 PM) and bought something from them for the first time. I went in with my girlfriend to buy the product and went up to the counter and the clerk asked for both of our IDs which is the law. My girlfriend left her ID in the car and she told the clerk. He proceeded to tell her, “well you shouldn’t be in here” and flicked his wrist telling her to get out of the store. I understand that is law but don’t be rude telling people to get out of the store. I will never go back.

Best liquor store ever! They are polite and everything is affordable. Plus, the variety is no less then some mega type liquor stores. For years the owner here has gone out of his way to please his customers, from wine tastings to incredible pricing everyday for a long time. Plus its located in Lakewood CO., the #1 city in the World right now in my book, I hope to Die here. Randall.

This is one of my favorite liquor stores. Simply amazing selection. The staff is always helpful and very friendly. Its nice to be able to get in and out quickly. Philnor doesnt look like much from the outside, but the selection and staff inside will make you happy to have stopped in. If you need something hard to find, this is the place, and if they dont have it they might get it for you.

Dont let the size of the building fool you. They have an amazing selection of wines liquors, and beers. If youre really good, you can even visit the cellar. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and also very friendly. Definitely worth stopping in to check it out.

This place has been here for decades, gradually becoming a full liquor store. They have a great spectrum of beers and ales,a broad wine selection, and of course hard stuff.The store is easy enough to get into from Colfax - turn on Quail St if youre westbound. I like their prices, and they are very helpful when needed.

For such a small store, they always have pretty good sales. Only thing is since they are smaller they dont have quite the selection you might be hoping for if youre looking for something very specific. But overall there is a good selection and the prices are pretty good

Great local Lakewood/West Denver liquor store. Theyve got an excellent beer selection including some local Colorado beers, and some harder to find beer bombers. The owner is really nice and knowledgeable. The staff is friendly. Ive always had good experiences at Philnor.

Meh prices, but shady. Clerk ran my card for $6 more than my bill, had the owner walk up and hand me cash from the register. Ha.In the interest of being completely unbiased, I got a better price at the King Soopers across the street, same sixer, same hours.

CHEAP. Huge selection. Friday tastings. Seriously, the best deal on booze around. I drive from central Denver to get my liquor here. Decent wines can be had for $5 a bottle. Seriously gives Argonaut a run for its money.

A go-to for cheap Avery and Coors.Great selection, hours, parking, pricing, not sketchy. All you could want in a local liquor store. Lots of craft, equal selection for beer wine and liquor, tastings seem to be pretty regular.I first went here for convenience as my first liquor store in Colorado but after I moved further in town I realized how good I had it at Philnor, so much that Im making a decent drive out of the way for it because it stays open so late.

Always a great experience shopping here. They have a great selection of just about every category of alcohol. Competitive prices and they are one of the few places carrying a decent selection of German wines.

I know it looks a little sketchy on the outside being on colfax and all, but inside its classy. Prices are just right, too. I chuckle at the sales flyers for other liquor stores in the Sunday paper since the prices at Philnor are better to start with. As a native, I love my beer and whiskey, and youd be hard pressed to find a better selection of either. Local craft, imported macro, they even try to keep Japanese whiskey and Oregon craft beers on the shelf. If youve never been there, you dont have to park along Quail then back into traffic to leave, drive around back and theres a big parking lot to the West!
