By far the single most shady business on this Earth. RENTER BEWAREAbsolutely no security, nobody around to help, district manager has no answers other than to say I dont know. My security code was changed and I was unable to access the 24/7 property in the middle of a weekend. Nobody answers the phone. I didnt change my code, their response was we dont know who change it we dont know when, we dont know why and theres no way to find out. This was from the district manager. I received a past due notice when I wasnt past due. I called district manager and he confirmed Im not past due and when asked why I received the notice he replied I dont know, thats a good question . This place is anything but secure. I highly recommend against them at any of their locations. This place is a total sham operation. Shady shady shady dont do business there. Plenty of other storage units out there.Wow I just talked to THE district manager again and he assures me there is absolutely no way to determine when or why my security code changed or by whom. He states that technology doesnt exist. He states hes been doing this 13 years yet he has no idea how, when, why, or by whom my access code was changed. This cannot be done online, this is something that is manually changed. The technology does exist it just doesnt on their antiquated technology. They should consider a name change. NOT SECURE AND NOT SURE SELF STORAGE. dont give them your cc number over the phone either and if you do, watch your statements for unauthorized charges.If they only change the code in person with an ID they should have zero problem telling when it was changed and by whom.....yet they cannot....because they are NOT SECURE AT ALL.How many months later? Still no response. Still unable to provide details. Im so glad I got my stuff out of this tweeker business.

Great storage facility with a wonderful staff. I rented a unit from Security Self Storage Lakewood for about 3 years with absolutely zero issues. The manager, Sheila, is fantastic and always has a smile on her face, always very welcoming and genuine. When Sheila wasnt there, Debbie always took great care of me and provided the same excellent service. Ron always keeps the grounds nice and well maintained, and always makes sure that my unit is in good working order. The only reason I left was because I moved into a place with a garage so I no longer needed additional storage. I would certainly recommend Security Self Storage Lakewood.

Clean, well maintained and secure. Onsite manager, Kaylene is very helpful, professional and kind. Unit was clean was we moved in. Kaylene came to see that all was well and asked if there was anything I saw that needed attention. Love the 24 hour access.

Well, Ive used this place twice. There is no better place to store your valuables. Sheila called at one point to tell me I hadnt locked my unit properly. She caught it during a routine inspection.All that being said, this place is as good as any to store your stuff.Sheila, if you read this, thank you for being a great on-site manager!!!

The on-site manager has the professionalism of a 3 year old child. The so called secure facility allowed my wifes storage unit to be ransacked twice with no action whatsoever except to shift blame. My wife and I mentioned the open access panel the ceiling allowing a free for all to the unit. Nothing was done to replace the panel and it was used in a robbery of our unit as well as others in the building. Not only were we NEVER informed of the robbery, the manager had the odasity to blame S.W.A.T. for the broken and missing items. These items were a necessity to our business. Tools, personal irreplaceable items, even my kids piggy banks are gone and this supposed secure storage facility tried to brush it off like yesterdays dust storm.

This storage facility is a joke. Dont store anything here you actually want back! The on site manager is the most unprofessional person Ive ever encountered in my entire life. My unit was access point to the attic and therefore I was supposed to know it was going to he used for SWAT access and prone to break INS and then the manager Sheila allowed someone who the county had a protection order in place for my safety into my unit by cutting the lock off??? This place was the most unreasonable, illegal, and mendacious entity I have had the displeasure of dealing with. You are not safe or secure here in the least.*** 4/10/21 Under new management now. My review may be out of date. At least I hope it is...

I pulled in after driving all the way from Chicago Illinois I forgot my shirts in the cab of the U-Haul I was told that it was no problem and to come on in I think them and apologize for the way I was and said I could go get a shirt and come right back I was told dont worry about it and was invited inside then I waited outside to go look at the storage unit we just decided on with the clerk when I was told that I had to leave and they are refusing my service because of the way I was dressed and that I couldnt speak with the manager about it. This is the most unprofessional disrespectful business I have ever walked in.

Sheila runs Security Self Storage on Jewell Ave in Lakewood, Colorado. She is first class in all ways. One month I accidentally paid my account short by $1 so Sheila put her own $1 in the till to make it good for me. What a gal. She is always cheery and she makes everything work. The whole setup would not be anywhere near as good without Sheila. She held an additional unit reserved for me for 2 days knowing I would come in and pay as soon as I could. That made it work for me to store the furniture for my dearest Janet who moved in with me and we needed to store some of her furniture. Could not have made it all work without Sheila.

This facility is very convenient and easy to access with their 24 hour entry. The manager has been very helpful and knowledgeable with any questions Ive had.

Shiela has been an absolute wonder to deal with, always kind, talkative and helpful. She takes the time to really help you out and make sure you are taken care of. I am unfortunately moving to another location but due to her CS, I am staying with this company. If the manager at the new place is even 1/4 as good as Shiela, Ill be more than satisfied. Wish I could stay at this location.As long as you apply common sense and pay your bill on time, dont cause any issues and understand your due dates you wont have any issues here. I am a minority and race is definitely not an issue here so dont be fooled by a review claiming as such.

I rented a 10x24 for 3 years. I lived all the way across town and used this facility because of the manager Shiela. She was always nice and professional. She took care of everything and I recommend Shiela at Security Self Storage on Jewell.

It wont let me give 0 stars. I was told to rent somewhere else because Im on SSI despite telling them I am getting way more then enough to pay my rent and a storage locker there. This was after an indepth interrogation into my personal life. Worst services ever and highly illegal.

Alway ready to help! I enjoy going there again and Im now glad my things are in her care!!! Please dont lose her!!! I dont think I could deal with another rude unfriendly person! ...... Note I do wait to do business with her because the new helper guy Tom is a joke and has no clue what he is doing!!! This is a TERRIBLE place to store your belongings. The manager is constantly calling the police on people that rent from this place. She is in everyone’s business so if you have a storage like I do and you like your privacy this is a bad place to go! This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in Colorado.

Shiela cares more about her customers than anything. She is a great manager. If I need to store anything and need extra room Ill rent here again.
