First time bow owner and Tony from Lancaster archery redefined the true meaning of customer service. I went in with limited knowledge on brands, draw length, types of releases, arrows, and the basics of actually holding/drawing a bow. Tony went above and beyond his duties for my father and myself by breaking down each step with excellent explanations, real life experiences, and just one of the most humble attitudes. I spent hours with Tony customizing each component on my bow, learning the differences between different models, and actually testing all the different styles within my budget. I must say… Lancaster Archery, you’ve earned a customer for life. The experience I’ve had is priceless and I will continue to hold and value all the knowledge Tony shared with me.Side note - They have one of the largest selections I’ve ever seen on the east coast. If you’ve seen it online, they have it in store for you to get hands on and test. This isn’t a big box retailer… This is a custom handcrafted experience per client needs/desires.Keep up the amazing work, I’ll see you guys soon!

What a wonderful experience I had today, thanks to Chase! My son is recently a new Archer and is 13 years old. Instead of using the bows at his club, we decided to get him his own bow for his birthday. I know absolutely NOTHING when it pertains to archery, and I had a million questions. Not only was Chase AMAZING with me when I called several times, he spent hours with my family today, and provided a level of customer service, you just dont see anymore. Seriously, although we dealt with Chase, all of the guys there were absolutely fantastic. My son is over the moon with his new bow, case, target, arrows, and all the accessories we were able to get him. He answered so many questions, and truly wanted to make sure Alex was comfortable with his bow. Again, amazing customer service, which is beyond rare these days. These guys are awesome, but Chase is phenomenal. I hope the owners appreciate their amazing staff. We traveled from Baltimore, which was not a quick ride, and I would do it again. Everyone was great!

These guys are great. They totally understand customer service, they all know what theyre doing and most importantly, from what Ive seen they only hire good people who care about helping you. The instructors are awesome as is the sales staff....Its about an hour from where I live but theyre so good I honestly wouldnt consider going anywhere else.

Staff is really great!Wanted to try out archery for a while now, but with all local classes closed since the start of covid, I decided to make the 2 hour trek to Lancaster and just get my own bow (tons of people recommended I go here).Felt pretty awkward coming in with basically no experience, but was able to sign up for a slot with a store member and got matched up with Darren who was super helpful, patient, and imparted tons of knowledge while he was getting me the right bow.Also found out there was a beginner course coming up, so I signed up and took my new bow with me to learn the fundamentals of good form. All the instructors were super helpful and gave me a lot of feedback to help me fine tune.Only negative was the long wait to get help from a store member, but that comes with them being so popular and spending so much time with the customers. They have a system to sign up ahead of time for an appt in advance if you need that.Looking forward to getting started and coming back whenever I’m in the area!

I normally don’t leave reviews but the service I received today at Lancaster Archery Supply was some of the best I have ever received. Jeff went above and beyond to answer all my questions while I was looking for a new compound bow. He was also not pushy in the slightest. Thanks again Jeff! I will definitely be back in the future.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Tony. This man provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. I needed an order to be cancelled, Tony informed me due to my order of custom arrows and some other products, he may not be able to cancel the full order, but he would check to see what could be done. Tony said hell call me back and i expected a call several hours or even days from our initial conversation and what do you know! This guy calls back within 30 minutes, we got my order situated and I am just blown away by how professional Tony was and his willingness to help. I am glad that I chose Lancaster Archery as my go to shop for my archery equipment. Thanks again Tony!

I payed for shipping after Lancaster did not authorize a free return. This was for a clicker extension that did not fit my sight bar. I expected free shipping because Lancaster provided no information when I ordered the item that it would fit my sight bar.Lancaster customer service called in response to the above review. After discussing my concerns, we reached a satisfactory resolution. Excellent customer service!

One of the most important aspects of running a business is customer service and you guys are top notch! I had a set of galaxy limbs fail on me and reached out about the possibility of a warranty. Very busy as this is the beginning of hunting season. They had a very easy and organized method of signing up to speak with a bow tech. Very friendly and knowledable tech. I did not feel pressured at all during the proccess. They had a great selection and I was able to shoot multiple bows. Well worth the 2.5 hour drive!!

I ordered some bow limbs and arrows. Being new to archery, I made a mistake in my order. Lancaster archery supply called me to assist me with order. I ended up adjusting my order and getting better size limbs and arrows. I am so thankful for the amazing customer service and there patience while I asked questions. I bought a new Mathews V3 there today and all the accessories to go with it. Never bought a bow here before but since my usual pro shop of 30 years closed up I figured Id give Lancaster Archery a try. Enjoyed my visit to the wonderful Lancaster area and Lancaster Archery Supply was a must visit stop during our trip just a few miles from our hotel. The sales floor was well stocked and well laid out. The sales staff was very helpful in choosing my first longbow to add to my recurves. He answered all my questions, explained the different options, setup the bow, and let me try it out in their indoor range. I ended up choose a Galaxy Black Ridge 70 at 35 and after a few shots in my backyard I knew it was a great choice. Outstanding visit and buying experience. Far better than relying purely on online resources. I only wish I was lived close by to take advantage of the many services they have to offer. Thank you

Traveling through Lancaster and my son asked me to pick up some arrows for him based on his experience at LAS buying his bow. I know little about archery and was a little intimidated…. Standing around looking like a deer in the headlights. My name was called ( great system) and I told the guy helping me my mission and my lack of knowledge. He went out of his way to zero in on the right arrow for my son without making me feel stupid or out of place. Even though they were plenty busy he enlisted the help of a colleague to get a second opinion and all for 60 bucks worth of arrows. Customer service unsurpassed!🙏

Ordered two packages of the same broadheads. Wasn’t a huge fan so I tried to return the unopened set. Lancaster was going to make me pay for shipping back to them. Never heard of them from a company of any size. If you are going to purchase something make sure you don’t intend on returning it.

I can’t say enough great things about Lancaster Archery. They have the biggest selection, great prices, and the staff aren’t just sales associates they are experienced hunters and competitive archers. It’s been a few decades since I shot archery, but the staff took their time, were patient, and answered all my questions. My first time their “Buddy” helped me out with purchasing and setting up my new Matthews VR3. He was awesome and had my entire bow—from the bow to the sights, release, rest, arrows and heads—built and ready before I left and even had me zeroed. Stopped in yesterday for a quick service and met “Archer”. Like Buddy, he was knowledgeable, patient, and humble. If your thinking about getting into bow hunting / target archery or you’re a veteran, I highly recommend Lancaster Archery. You won’t be disappointed.- Jeff

My husband needed a new bow. We decided to take the trip to the store (we live over 2 hours away) We purchased from them before at the Outdoor Show. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They took time to answer questions and get the bow set up just right.. They even helped me with my bow. It needed a tune up.We made a mini vacation out of it.. We came back the next day. We used the paper range and the techno range. It was awesome!!! A special shout out to Clint, Wes, Wonda and Alicia. I went here with intentions of buying a bow and items to make my own arrows. I asked someone for help and they said they needed to grab something out the back for another customer. I stood at the same spot and waited for 15 minutes and when I turned around to continued my shopping I saw the person who said they would help me talking to someone about one of his hunts and was showing them photos on his phone. I waited another 45 minutes and not a single person walked up to me. I put all my stuff back and walked out. Very disappointed with customer service here and I don’t plan on returning.

Stopped by for the first time, loved it! Now it was a week day, so not terribly busy. Staff were more than courteous, and helpful finding what we were purchasing. Even took the time, researched, and found a proper insert for an out of date, out of production arrow. Range was well lit, and very clean. The owner even took time and chatted with us for a while. All in all they treated my family wonderfully, and not just like customers. We will be going back!

I loved visiting Lancaster archery store, felt like a kid in a candy store. I could find everything here. Was here to pick up my new compound bow, and was well looked after; just remember to register your name on their iPad at the entrance doorway and they will call for you in sequence (noone notices the sign and iPad because they are just overwhelmed when entering the shop first time).

Purchasing through the website was simple enough and the woman we spoke with at the warehouse was pleasant and helpful. However, there was a confusion regarding shipping, and our items were sent to the store instead of our home. We were fine with driving down to pick them up (an almost hour drive for us) since it apparently was now an issue to ship from the store to our home. Each time we called the warehouse, staff were kind and helpful (we assume there are two separate staffing). The store itself had a more “club” feel to it and the woman behind the counter seemed annoyed that we were there to pick up our package rather than staying outside (someone at the warehouse told us it was fine to go in). The store is beautiful, clean and has a great variety, but we were really turned off by the club feel of the store and staff inside.Edit: thank you for your kind reply, you’re correct that the order was not under my name. My fiancé purchased the order. I will pass the information along to him. Thank you.

My only gripe with Lancaster...lack of smithing and custom. Its more of a trade association issue but it keeps Lancaster at a glass ceiling. As one of my areas last bastions of archery(MD), industry standard is the name of the game. A lot smaller than I imagined and the veteran parking feels slightly elitist and gimmicky, but to afford good quipment takes elitist cash flow. I love Lancaster and rely on them as my go to source, but as they are the forced mountain of Olympus I must be critical. Customer service has always been great but the personal visit let me see something etched in the eyes and on the faces I did not want to see...

Ordered a Jimmy Big Tine Woodland Series Deer Target, it arrived with a dryrotted underside and the insert was pitted, looked like a few arrows were already shot in it. When I returned the item via UPS, had a confirmation of return yet the refund was delayed and the lady I spoke to in customer service was short and rude. I wont order from them again.

Experience with the online shop, no experience with the physical store. After a few orders, I can say the selection is excellent but spotty. They have most of a line of products but not the whole line. Great price options for all budgets as well. The lacking star really comes from their super slow processing. It has taken 2-3 days to process some orders before shipping making it a slow process. Also, as a resident of Idaho, most hunting and archery here is for compound shooters, not recurve. There are a few, so called, archery stores here that almost exclusively do compound so it’s nice to have an online venue where I can find lots of recurve stuff. I just can’t give 5 stars because of the slow processing and because I’ve had to go to other venues to find items like the Avalon Tec One micro adjustable plunger but they have most of the other Tec One stuff. It’s been like that with a few things.

Wow - this is truly the archers paradise! I have been to a lot of stores - looking for archery equipment - but have never seen a selection like this. The Tech that helped me spent almost 3 hours helping me put together my dream bow setup. I feel as though I was given great advice and there was not pressure to buy anything I did not want. Saturday 9/12/20 I departed Northeast PA at 05:30 to arrive 30 minutes prior to opening. Even though there were 5 people ahead of me in line, my number came up in the cue under two minutes. Brian, my Pro Shop Consultant, focused exclusively on my extensive and complex equipment and form issues until he had exhausted the material and personnel resources of undoubtedly one of the most professional archery institutions (bar none)! Few corporations will possess anywhere near the depth or breadth of archery expertise - much less the inventory to match. Of course, being the absolute peak of “last minute preseason madness” with a COVID depleted supply chain put even this national treasure to the test. Add to this crazy environment not just the request to rebuild/full tune a 2019 Vertix, but also the FAR greater challenge of deconstructing then coaching proper form in order to have a platform upon which a proper FIT could be measured. In the course of four tedious and laborious hours, Brian had spent nearly half a standard work day bending over backwards to get a novice level shooter a Pro-Level Setup on a bow NOT EVEN FROM THIS SHOP (I am ashamed to admit this fact - but do so to emphasize the work ethic of this establishment!). Please note: this was not some dogmatic “our way is the only way session”. As an over 50 “archer” (used loosely) who learned 95% of my limited skill on YouTube, I was in desperate need of expert eyes to dissect my form - and the lack thereof.I could continue to laud the professionalism, resources, fairness of this world class organization ... but I fear much more and the benefit of this review would be outweighed by its wordiness.Suffice it to say that LAS presents a model of how all service related industries should build and execute their business! Every aspect of this place exudes authentic enthusiasm across the diverse spectrum of this great sport. Finally, in a time where people saying they “CARE” is almost a flag to warn you that nothing could be further from the truth....THESE PEOPLE do not make a effort in self promotion under the guise of caring —- THEY JUST LIVE IT.

Our 13yr old has wanted a bow for a long time. We walked in today not really knowing what would be best. Bam was the associate who helped us from beginning to end and he was phenomenal! He directed his questions towards our daughter and got her all set up with a recurve bow. He did a great job at making sure we had everything we needed to set her up for success without overselling us and staying within midrange priced items. He was patient with her and gave her great instruction. He took the time to let her shoot at some targets, adjust her and make modifications. She left excited and empowered to start on her archery journey. Immediately she got home and remembered the instruction she was given and continued to hit consistently, based on Bams instruction. The entire staff was friendly. So glad we started here instead of just buying blindly online.

I had a mostly positive experience getting my bow restrung at Lancaster archery. Customer service and the personal touch were slightly lacking during the tuning, but I also may have overlooked my responsibility as the consumer to speak up about my personal preferences. After airing my grievances, I was contacted personally by LA to make it right.

Worst service ever. Waited hours to talk to someone, was going to spend $1500+ on a compound set for target. Do not come here if you need to talk, service or setup of your bow.Sad as I drove 5 hours to shop at this particular shop, next time just buy local. Waste of my time and they did not want my money.

This was my first time buying a bow from this place and their costumer service is unmatched. I was there for about 3 hours and the gentlemen that we’re helping me set up my bow were patient, polite, and gave me great recommendations for things to add on my bow to make sure it was right for me. They made sure before I left, my bow was exactly how I wanted it no matter how many times they had to adjust my sight, and many other things. They genuinely care about their costumers. There is not one thing I disliked about my experience here. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a new bow.

I purchased arrow shafts for my husband for Christmas. We were very happy with the product, but not the extra fees added to the cost. The package weighed 3 lbs. the shipping was $9.95, we are 5 hours from Lancaster Archery. seems like an awfully high shipping. And in Ohio we do not pay taxes on products bought on-line. these issues make us feel, taken advantage of, I know some companies raise shipping cost and add taxes to out of state orders to boost profits. We will not be ordering from Lancaster anymore, first and last order, Sadly.

I recently purchased a new bow on 12-5-20 for my 10 year old son. I was helped by Logan- he was patient and very thorough. Two days later the peep sight came out of the bow string. I attempted to repair it myself but it only lasted for 2 days. I took a half day from work on 12-14 (yesterday) and took the two hour trip back to Lancaster Archery to have the peep professionally reinstalled. The tech wasnt sure why it had come out. He reinstalled it and assured me that it would be OK and not come out again. Well today, the first time my son went to shoot the bow again, the peep sight pulled out of the string. You can only imagine how disappointed my son was- again. Unfortunately after being a longtime customer I will not return to Lancaster Archery a third time for another repair. I am going to visit a local archery shop near my home to have them look at this bow and hopefully repair it for the last time.

Customer service here is great! Today I walked in not having even shot a bow in 3 years let alone hunted with one! The staff was insanely knowledgeable and answered any question I had on the newer updated equipment instantly. They did not push products I didn’t feel I needed. That in itself is a awesome fact. They set me up with a bow customs to me. Allowed me the time to become comfortable and really feel the equipment I was purchasing without rushing me out the door.Highly highly recommend this store for anyone who needs a welcoming facility to get into archery!

If you shoot recurve, John (Bam) will hook you up. Hes an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced archer and isnt just trying to make a sale on you. He helped me put together my first bow and kept it well in my budget, all the while giving me invaluable information to improve my skills and help me better understand my bow. I bought a used bow and took it in to Lancaster archery to set it up and tune. They fixed the nock point added a peep and kisser and had bullet holes in paper in about half an hour. Thanks for the excellent service.

Had another pleasant visit for a finger tab n arm guard....Bang-bang (forgive me if I got your name wrong) took the time to show me how to aim with 3 fingers below the arrow instead of the split finger....still learning the terminology! I just order through their online store, but I seldom ever have a problem with anything they send me. The technical support people Ive talked to on the phone are also very knowledgeable and seem like the folks who would rather ask a coworker than give a wrong answer. Its taking a while to process a return I had to make on a set of recurve limbs, but thats to be expected when the state gets buried in snow.

Purchased my first compound bow today here. I had truly awesome experience. Every staff member that I spoke with was polite and friendly. The gentleman that helped me pick out and set up the bow was super knowledgeable and helpful. I don’t leave reviews often, but for a solid 10/10 I will. I walked out very confident that I bought an amazing bow that fit perfect and is comfortable for me to shoot. I would recommend allotting several hours to go and buy a bow because they are super busy, but the wait is very worth it, and in spite of being crazy busy the staff remained polite and pleasant. Awesome place!

Ordered 1/2 dozen arrows to be made to a specific length. Arrows showed up to long. Now I can accept a $12 dollar refund, or send the arrows back to be fixed and wait for several weeks to get them back. Frustrating. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

A buddy and I went to purchase bows for hunting season during the sale last weekend. All of the staff on hand were fantastic, we were especially impressed with Dakota and Darren. Both were extremely knowledgeable and professional. I feel like the store itself isnt a secret to locals, but if you happen to be an avid hunter/pro moving into the area you wont find a better complete package for archery in the state.

Drove from 2 hours away, but was worth it. Lancaster is a very busy store this time of year, but my sons bow needed a few upgrades. Logan did a great job and even fixed the D-loop without us having to ask. Great store and fantastic customer service. I highly recommend Lancaster.

I have always wanted to visit LAS but, its a two hour drive each way so I always put it off. I made it a trip today and it was worth it.Not only are the country roads nice to drive but, once I got there it was like redneck Disney world.I signed in at the entrance and walked the store while I waited to get my bow serviced. They have all kinds of gear and archery equipment. I was happy to find everything I was looking for.They called my name and I received a text letting me know I was up. I brought a new string to be installed on my bow and they got me all set up. Then we paper tuned with a few of my arrows and the guy noticed that the inserts on my arrows were not the correct ones. I dont know how I missed that. He set me up with the correct inserts and a couple of tips on how to remove the incorrect ones.Great customer service. Everyone was friendly.I will definitely be going back even with the drive.Thank you to all at Lancaster Archery.

My family of four visited today to get the equipment for beginning our new venture into learning archery. I would not consider the service we received from Jared as anything less than exceptional. He listened to every question, answered knowledgeably, and showed great patience with us as we worked through what we wanted. We had to long wait in line (browsing the shop) but when it was our turn he focused on us until we were checked out. He even helped us get all of the equipment in our new bags, took care of the packaging trash, and then helped us get it all to our car!! Id say they have lifetime customers in us. This was the best customer service that I have ever seen.

I took my bow in to have the string and cables replaced. The guy who helped me said I can choose between a $90 and $130, 5 string setup required for my bow. I chose the $130. I picked up the bow this morning and the bill was $158. When I told the cashier about the $130 quoted she said sorry about that but the price is $150 and tax and would not change the cost to the quoted price or even check on it. This was my go to place for archery products but I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. If you get a quote for work done here make sure you have the quote in writing.Very soon after the review was posted I was called and offered a $20 credit. Very quick and excellent response. Absolutely unparalleled customer service. I went in with no previous knowledge of archery, wanting to get started on traditional. I was helped by Brad who walked me thoroughly through every aspect of the sport and helped fit me perfectly to everything I needed. He even helped me sort out an issue with dominate hand/eye mixmatch and helped me to walk out of there confident and passionate about the sport. I havent had that thorough of customer service ever anywhere. Hats off, great company.

I chose curbside pickup for my online order due to Covid restrictions and to things I’ve heard about them being busy all the time. Also spoke with Dakota via their chat feature on the website and he was very prompt and helpful with my questions about the process. I waited a few days for my order to be ready for pickup, but they were also helpful when I emailed for a status update. I live very close to another archery shop in the area, but always leave there feeling disappointed. I’ve had nothing but good interactions with LAS and they will be my first choice for archery supplies going forward.

Outstanding service. I took my ChillR there to have a cracked limb replaced and expected to hear Id be without my bow for 2 plus weeks, hence missing the best time of year. Instead, the pro shop located and replaced the limbs, replaced a bent cam, and had the bow tuned up and ready for pickup after an hour lunch. All of this on a Saturday! Totally impressed and why LAS is the only archery shop Ill go to.

We ordered a new string and cable for my sons compound bow from Lancaster archery. We received a call saying it was in a ready to be installed on the bow. When he got there, after driving an hour, they told him that they had lost his string and cables. So they ordered him a new set. When we went back up to get the bow set up with the new set they didn’t even adjust the bow right. One limb was tightened almost all the way down and the other limb was only about half way tightened down. I re-adjusted the limbs and now the peep sight and nocking point aren’t even close to being right. So now I have to take the bow and a disappointed son to another bow shop to get it fixed. I won’t be returning to Lancaster archery for anything else. After contacting the manager at the pro desk and then talking with the tech that worked on my sons bow, they apologized many times and comped us for the having such a bad experience and for the fact that we had to go to another bow shop to get it fixed. Their customer service is is very good. They do a lot for the archery industry and I will always watch their tournaments on YouTube.

Amazing assortment and many great products to choose from along with a large staff to help their customers as needed. This is my second time here and it was not a pleasant one. The very first time i came here I needed my bow restrung. They did just that and decided to cut my arrows since they were too long. The Guy comes out and says he did that for no charge. My arrows were now to short and not just that, my arrow rest now no longer dropped right because the cord was too long and my nock was not at the right height. I paid top dollar hoping i was getting top service. Lancaster archery does charge more for their parts and labor than many places i’ve seen. My second experience i go in there and this time ready to get a couple new parts and everything i went to get it said they have in stock. Well I learned in stock does not mean at lancaster archery it means it’s at their warehouse. I ask the guy if he can order it in. He’s says i can have it here within 2 hours. Well that turned into two days. I understand your busy and it’s the holidays, but i don’t think i’m gonna be having lancaster archery work on my bow anymore let alone even visiting here when i just have to go and have mistakes fixed. (Lancaster archery did replace my arrows when I came back free of charge).

I just bought a bow from these guys a couple of days ago and it was an awesome experience. I worked with Jared and he was super knowledgeable, suggesting different bows and being realistic about what I needed based on my shooting ability. I actually live almost 2 hours away in Philly but these guys are worth the drive. There are a number of pro shops closer to me but this is a night and day difference. Highly recommend!

I tried to order a gift card online but it was down. No issues with that so I called in and spoke to a guy on the phone. Not very friendly at all, ordered a $50 gift card and he acted like he was doing me a favor. No thank you for your order or anything. Very rude customer service.Updated 9/9/2020:. Went in today to pick up arrows ordered online. They were busy but the sign in system works very well. I walked around the store for a while and looked at other items until my name was called. When I spoke to the tech, very friendly and helpful. Assisted with my purchase and it was a very good experience. I will be back.
