This was our first visit here today, and we were BLOWN AWAY!! Too many positive things to mention, however here are a few; great location, plenty of parking, an incredible shopping experience, and plenty to keep the young ones occupied and engaged, while you are able to shop for many pet supply needs, and explore a vast amount of aquatic brilliance!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This place is huge! They have a GREAT selection of fish and reptiles. Everything is captive breed. The clerk that helped us in the fish department was excellent. She really knew what we could and couldnt put together in our new tank. She had great ideas for us. They have lots of different sizes and selections of tanks and stands. Everything you could want for decorations. If youre looking for Betta fish you will NEVER find a bigger selection. They had Male and Females. Different kinds and more color combinations than Ive ever seen. They had easily 50 probably more. Even glowing ones.

Awesome fish and pet store! Lots of small animals, huge separate fish store area, a lot of animal supplies and pet food, a sting ray petting zoo area and a cool shark sticking out of the wall above the door as you walk in.

This pet store is awesome - they have everything from lizards - along with ALL of their possible meals! Ick!, rodents (our youngest wants a Chinchilla, kitties to adopt - kittens and adults, a MASSIVE collection of fish that is amazing, a collection of coral, live rock, aquatic plants, and so on for fish homes plus so much more! It was like visiting a zoo/aquarium in one! For free!

The go to place when youre looking for pet supplies or new additions to your family. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the animals they care for, and will make sure you understand the responsibility youre about to take on when getting a new pet, or when youre looking for new supplies/treats/food. The only real problem (and its really not that bug of a deal) is the parking lot is fairly spacious but fills up quickly! Would love to see a parking lot expansion.

Fantastic, responsible store for most animals, but you wont find a better shop to fill your fresh or saltwater tanks. And not only is the selection magnificent, but staff will not allow you to buy one of their saltwater tanks or any specialized fish without making sure you are well versed in maintaining the responsible and taking care of all fish responsibly. I love going there just to browse!

This place ROCKS. Sure they are busy a lot but that should tell you something. This place makes my frogs and dogs happy!

Super packed today. We came up from Baltimore. Always love to just wander around. There is so much to look at, you can easily spend an hour or more. Prices are exceptionally good as well. Lots of staff to help. Plenty of cashiers. A little lacking with freshwater fish this time.

I love this place! Its huge and so much to look at!! They have a variety of everything!! It was so huge i wanted to look at everything! They have open dog treats you can scoop out and scale for your dog, which i will be coming back and getting for my dog nitro! They had cool toys and outfits for pets too! My favorite part was the ferrets!!! I have been wanting a ferret for a long time!! And i cant wait to get mine from here tomorrow!! They had around 10 ferrets in the cage and had multiple different colors!! Which was great!! And the cost for the ferret was lower than pet co!! Which is definitely sold in my book! They had amazing toys for ferret and cute little hoodies and outfits for them!! So adorable!!! They had some pets that i never thought you can get! A scorpion! How cool! I would so get one!! Very exotic!! I will be shopping from here! Keep it up!!

If youre coming from route 30, watch for the left turn. Taffic may obscure it. Youll pass Old Tree Dr., and on your left is a shopping center called Sycamore Court with a Subway & an Isaacs. The access road is the same for That Fish Place. So many people miss the turn, that they had to put up barriers to keep cars from driving over the grass from the next street, S. Tree Dr. (No access to That Fish Place lot)Wow. Simply, wow. That Fish Place has exactly what you want. All the pet fish you can think of, ranging in price from a couple bucks to hundreds of dollars, and everything in between. Freshwater fish, saltwater fish, starfish, coral, snails, crabs, free water testing. Thats not all. They have lots of non-fish pets too. Even tiny little fuzzy ones like bunnies, guinea pigs, even mice & rats. There some birds & rescue cats to boot.Along with the pets, you can find every accessory, food, or treat your pet could ever need or want. Even if you dont buy anything, its worth it just to visit this place to see the huge array of fish. I get the impression that they usually have an even bigger selection, but Im guessing the pandemic has hurt their business, as it has so many of us.

Amazing pet place! I have come here in the past for fish and fish supplies. Within the last 6 months I purchased a Leopard Gecko here. She was given to me healthy and has been doing great since! Very knowledgeable staff and a wide variety of supplies for pets and fish! Only complaint is I wish I lived closer 😅

This is 1 of my FAVORITE places to go when I come to Lancaster! SO much fun!! Lots to see & do. Reptiles, birds, kittens, even a touch tank where you can pet Sting Rays! SO AWESOME! Great family place & to take children of all ages. I highly recommend you visit here.

This a fun place to go for virtually any pet needs. I love the stingray petting pond, theyre so smooth and squishy, fun just watching them swim, so smooth and effortless. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you love fish, they have a ton!

It was great! It was pretty fun looking at the different animals. Reptiles, Bunnies, birds, cats, fish and the variety of this that they have there. Its an awesome place and the Covid social distancing practices are pretty good

Hands down the best pet store in the area. Large selection of pet supplies like food, treats, medicine, and toys. Huge fish and aquarium section. Small animal and reptiles too. Theres almost also someone to ask any questions you might have and more than happy to assist if they can.

Placed an online order for 4 fish. Got an email the next day that 2 of the 4 were not in stock. That wasnt great news. However, what got me was that I had qualified for free shipping and after telling me about the fish not being in stock, they then told me that I lived in a rural area and needed to pay an extra $20 for delivery. Nowhere on the website can I find any info on that. If so, it must be pretty well hidden. I ended up feeling like the whole shopping experience was a gimmick. Offer good prices and then try and tack on extra fees for shipping.

Nice place. Employee are always helpful and nice. I was a Chewy fan. Ill make the trip save a ton. I bought bird food for my parrot and awesome toy as well. Then picked up a beta while I was there. The last Beta lived 3 years and I purchased it here. Nice to look around at all the animals.

Great place to buy saltwater fish. Only ever lost 1 fish from them unexpectedly and they were super understanding and gave us a refund. They have the biggest variety weve seen within an hour of Pottstown and most of their fish department is very knowledgeable of what to feed the fish and who theyre compatible with. Highly recommend if youre looking to start a tank or continue growing one. Added some photos of my favorite fish I saw there last week.

Fun place to visit! We all enjoy petting the stingrays and browsing all the pets. Our last visit we didnt make it through the whole store due to a severe thunderstorm (we live almost an hour away!). Hopefully next time we will! The one thing I did notice is that it seems that there are always several tanks in quarantine. I dont know if thats a normal thing. The employee who helped us pick out fish was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and made our buying process a breeze!

I love this store. Its the largest pet shop Ive ever been in and even seen. The selection of freshwater and saltwater fish, reptiles, and small animals is really impressive. The prices are reasonable all the way around from my experience. They also have a great selection of goods and food for whatever pets you may have. Toys for felines and dogs, decorations for fish tanks, pumps and filters, animal beds of all sizes and tons more.For instance, I just drove with my family 2 and a half hours to go here and buy 40 cents worth of shrimp. Couldnt find them anywhere else locally for some reason. And even though we went there just to look at something so cheap, it was still worth it because it was like taking my children to a small zoo.

Always have what you need and what you dont! Our dog loves going there as also.

We love going here! There fish selection is the best and well maintained. They have an area of water you can touch stingrays. They also have the basic pet store animals and Cats to adopt. This store is HUGE!!! There are soooo many tanks of freshwater and saltwater aquariums and literally thousands of fish to see. Ill be back to pick up neon sword tails! This place ships their livestock too!

I basically live at That fish place. I shop there for all my pets needs and my granddaughter loves to tag along to see all the animals. The staff is sweet and very friendly.

I love this place, I like to come see the dogs. They dont have dogs but dog owners take their dogs into the store and that makes me so happy because theyre all so friendly, I love dogs. Sorry this isnt a good review, my dog died and seeing dogs and interacting with dogs keeps me going sometimes. If you wanna look at dogs go here, just b promise youll be polite since not everyone wants their dogs to be pet obviously.

The tags for all the animals and fish have detailed information and care instructions. There is a touch pool with stingrays.

Truly a very good place to go for your pet supplies needs. Variety of items, well stocked and prices are good on some things but not all but then again it depends on what your looking for. Staff is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful. You can also purchase pet licenses here as well. They dont, in my opinion, try to get you to purchase items you dont need but they have given choices and recommendations on items which can be very helpful. Overall great experience.

This store is our absolute favorite pet store ever. We recent got betta fish (4 all in separate tanks) and That Fish Place has the best supplies for fish! They have such great discounts on all their supplies. For example, an item that is $15.99 at pet smart is $7.99 at That Fish Place. We go all the time to check out all the new animals at the store and pet the sting rays. We also bought 2 hermit crabs here and they are so happy and healthy! Seriously has the best prices, customer service and workers that I have ever seen at a pet store. They have store pets along with animals for sale and up for adoption. They have so many tanks scattered around the store that are so well taken care of and beautiful. Their workers are so knowledgeable and also ready to help! Everyone needs to check out this store and bring their kids to experience this amazing place. The bird room is so cool but a little overwhelming if you aren’t used to the loud noises and birds hanging around. The cat room is adorable and there’s even little rooms you can go into to pet certain cats. The fish room is huge and has tons of fresh and saltwater fish to choose from. Haven’t seen the ponds yet but can’t wait until spring time to see them!

We mostly went in to browse the reptiles. Some of them seemed to not be in the best of health. There was even a turtle that we were pretty sure was dead. Its head was pressed up against the glass with its neck at a ninety degree angle and it did not move or open its eyes at all. We were in the room for awhile too. I havent purchased an animal from this place but based on what I saw on my trip I would be pretty hesitant to do so.

I heard of THAT FISH PLACE and decided to place an order. I was very pleased with their service. I received my new fish healthy and strong. Shipping was convenient and hassle free. This place is phenomenal. They have an excellent selection here. In fact, sometimes take my younger kids here just to go and look at the fish. Its like going to a small aquarium.

Good but my sea creatures seem to always have hitchhikers of some kind or parasite... Ich. Overall they are a great pet store. But maybe hire a few more fish room attendees and be more thorough with the fish/sea creatures

Took the grandkids here for an adventure. We visited each area dedicated to all different kinds of pets. Bunnies, turtles, fish, kittens, ferrets, hamsters, frogs, mice, rats, snakes and on and on! The kids had a great time and learned about different kinds of animals and their habitat. The next visit we are bringing Nikodemus to buy him a new cat harness!

Staff is always friendly, excellent prices. Come here a few times a year for frozen feeders and supplies. I deeply appreciate that they allow you to bring in pets other than dogs! Made it much easier to pick out my cage and accessories! Overall a great experience. Much happier driving those few extra miles if it means I can avoid an overpriced low quality chain store.

Always a fun trip to this store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Their aquarium section is Best in Lancaster County. Their cat supplies are little lacking as they dont carry the full like of Fresh Step and NO crystal litter 😢 Prices are high but its Top Quality Brands for sure. Their small animal section is pretty cool.

This place is the 🐝s knees. Great place to stop and pick up some of those big olsquishy horn worms.This particular time we bought a little fishypoo as well, hes the pretty one in the pictures. The puffer fish is one that was in a tank there and I must say all of their creatures look FANTASTIC!!!

Poor selections, over priced. Not what it used to be...Follow up reply:Simple chemicals were all out of stock, such as API pH up and down... all shelves very unstocked and in disarray. Simple air line tubing Ls and regulators out of stock.. The only thing abundant were rocks, but at $2.90 per pound. A coupon still doesnt touch competitor pricing of a local store.

Excellent selection of pet foods form reptiles to cats and of course fish!! So much more as well. You can get many different types of pets as well. Theres a petting tank and often have different events. I have never interacted with an employee thats rude and well thats amazing as well. They also collect donations so if you have a pet bed that just wasnt liked by your pet and is useable donate it to them!! (Along with other useful itmes.)

As always the pet place is a fun and friendly environment. Over the years Ive brought in cats and dogs, staff is always affectionate. I actually love to bring out of town people in to come visit and see all the exciting animals. The reptile room and fish spot are always amazing to take a half hour and try to spot and see all the wonderful creatures. This is easily one of my favorite stores and Ive never had a single negative experience here. Please adopt there cats btw.

Its awesome place not just to shop but to take kids they got cats. Birds. Fishs and a reptile room. All you can look at and see without buying a thing. But when it comes to supplies and having stuff they have abunch. I go their for kitten replacement milk. And they always have it. Even tho other places sold out. They have a big food selection for picky eaters and heath stuff from skin care to eye care and nose care. They got a toy section Toys are little expensive for me at least. But all in all its a great place to go if you need food or cleaners and animal care and kitten milk replacement. And to big the kids along with to cause they have a good time looking at all the animals and seeing the kittens and Birdies. Also have a pond inside were fish usually swim around and you can stand along it and look down in to it. And a big garden stand out front it a great place to go and just look around. Or go and shop cause you need things.

Great store. Huge selection. No parking available at busy days and times. Long checkout lines and lines to look at the animals. This makes it feel rushed, but it is needed to combat the pandemic. They are doing the best they can to be open and follow the protocols. Plenty of staff on hand for this extremely busy store.

I feel like while looking at the reviews no one talks about the pets care at the store or the care information they provide you with... in my case I was given all wrong information I purchased leopard geckos from this place while already having a reptile room at home so I wondered what they’d say about the care information if they’d misinform me or make mistakes ....they did give me some false information leopard geckos should NOT have sand substrate as they can accidentally ingest it and become backed up resulting in death, they also don’t need a moonlight which I was required to purchase or I couldn’t leave the store without my pet which was ridiculous,, even though I told them I use a heat mat with proper set up and wattage I was told not to because it would burn my gecko which is some cases yes they can burn if not properly informed about heat Matts,,,,, finally about the tank I was required to buy a 20 gallon tank for my leopard gecko or again I couldn’t leave ALTHOUGH I had a 10gallon tank at home for a baby leopard gecko ....meanwhile they have 10-20 geckos in one tank that’s not a 20 gallonThought I should add this in, the leopard geckos they have are falsely named, sold me a “Diablo blanco” which it was not it is a blizzard leopard gecko so definitely ask multiple times before purchasing

I came in with my wife a few weeks ago to adopt an adorable little Roborovski Hamster. The associate Kyla was awesome. She knew all about them, and was very good at recommending a cage, food, treats, and toys without being pushy. She was very professional, and since I wanted the best for our new little companion, I threw everything she recommended in the cart. I spent over 100 bucks, and it was worth every penny. We got a ceramic food dish, and a glass water bottle in lieu of the plastic ones that came with the cage. Bedding, Oxbow strawberry treats (that she loves), tubes, and chew toys (with no dye), and a little tree stump house. Today we went back for more tubes, treats, food, and a ball so she can explore the apartment, and Kyla was there again at the checkout. We showed her a video of me holding her while she was nibbling a treat. Kyla seemed to genuinely care. My wife, and I love animals, and respect anyone who has a passion for what they do with them instead of it being just a job I really hope this associate, and all other who treat this as a profession instead of a job gets the recognition they deserve. 5 star!

I have been a customer for 30 years. I started ordering from them via catalog when I lived in MD. One of the best fish stores in the country and certainly the best overall pet store in the area.

This place is great for taking kids & buying anything aquarium/pet related. Huge store! Staff is friendly and helpful. We have bought fish for our outdoor pond and snails and other essentials with no issues. My kids always love going here too since the place is pretty hands on. You can pet stingrays, go inside the bird rescue, cat rescue, and get up close to other small animals such as rabbits and ferrets.

Very large selection to choose from between brands and items. Im about 100% sure you will find what youre looking for in this business. Ive come here in the past and I can honestly say, I feel things have improved and gotten better with time. They have a large selection of aquatic fish from freshwater and saltwater. They sell top of the line tanks. They serve all domestic home pets. Staff is friendly and helpful when called on for assistance.They also have a large parking lot yet the day I went, it was difficult to find a spot.

First of all they have an incredible selection of fish and accessories. Anything that you could possibly want or need for an aquarium. I havent looked at much of anything else, but they have a huge selection of dog/cat supplies, bird/small pets/and creepy crawlers.What I enjoy the most, however is the staff. They are each incredibly knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly. From the novice customer to the most skilled, they are willing to help and answer questions. They also give great advice.Its a pleasure to shop there.

I stopped there because I wanted to visit the birds in the Bird Sanctuary. I was told that they were closed (even though there were people in there who were not employees) and I would have to make an appointment. I live over an hour away and dont intend to go back.The store itself was lacking in bird supplies. I did however purchase a toy for my conure and he loves it. The young man who assisted me at check out was very pleasant. Sorry, I didnt catch his name (he was African American and between 19-21)

They take good care of most pets. They won’t sell pet that has just arrived because they want to ensure it doesn’t go under severe stress. Sadly, this is not the case with their saltwater fish. I bought a Pakistani Butterfly and from the first day I got it, it would not eat. I’m sure he didn’t eat while he was at this store just no one saw because they have too many fish to care for. Sadly he passed away exactly 7 days after I got him which is not enough time for a fish to die of starvation. RIP Pancake.

It was awesome! They have a great selection of reptiles, birds, and fish on a normal day. The day I went it was fairly busy and most of the freshwater fish were out of stock, which is why I give the 4 stars, but they have salt-water fish I have never seen anywhere else. They also have a huge selection of animal supplies and great customer service.

Friendly and helpful employees in the fish section. Last time I came however there was a dead fish in one of the tanks and today when I went there was a tang upside down laying on the bottom of the tank that was dieing (still breathing). Other than that everything seemed healthy.

Spectacular selection of both freshwater and saltwater fish and inverts. Even though its 2.5 hours away, its worth the trip. My favorite part is all.of their show aquariums they have setup. They area beautiful and are a great way to get inspired on a new tank setup.
