I love seeing all the amount of sporting goods for extremely cheap. Everytime Ive been here its never been packed which does make it nice when you are in a rush. If you ever need something sports related then this is the place to come buy it. Would recommend this place

Great place I got a pair of boots and later I tried them on and find that it was to small so I returned them for exchange to get the right size and they were great about it had misplaced my receipt but they still, honored my exchange. Thank you guys they fit great and am happy with it. A happy customer.

Big five is my go to for certain baseball equipment since it’s reasonable. I was disappointed they didn’t have line up sheets but I’m sure they are in demand right now. Very helpful sales associates

I called and was told they had what I was looking for in stock. Only to find out they didnt! So I drove across town and wasted gas for nothing! But the gentleman that helped me was friendly and said it wasnt something they stock. In conclusion the person answering the phone needs to be knowledgeable or willing to help! Just doing anything to get someone in the door is a underhanded way to do business!

Unpleasant shopping I literally had to price scan every item I needed!! Very unorganized and poor customer service!! Go somewhere where you can be treated as a proper customer and try to help you out when they do so many mistakes on their end!!

Recently went here to buy a gun for the first time in CA. Based on my experience back east vs. what Ive heard about the CA process I wasnt sure what to expect. It was overall a great experience. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Did the whole safety cert, purchase and background process right there. Definitely have run across a lot of gun shops where Ive seen the staff being pretty rude to new gun owners or just people who werent knowledgeable, these guys are definitely not like that. They are very personable to both experienced and new gun owners. Also, decent prices on ammo, will definitely be back for more when I run out!

Im sure things get hectic in the store during the holiday season and things get moved or misplaced often but I could not belive the management refused to give me the sale price on a champion sweater hung on the same rack as other like sweaters. I work retail too and I know for a fact we work to provide great customer service so our loyal customers keep coming back to shop with us... not here.I am so dissapointed with Big 5 for this oversight and for the way their management reacted to my issue, I was a long time customer.

Gee, why do I love Big 5 Sporting Goods...I used to live in Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes. What does one do there on a weekend, or vacation, or when you walk five feet into one? YOU GO FISHING.Here in California, thankfully, Big 5 has what you need, especially the coveted Fishing License. Of course, here in California, dont forget to get the SALT WATER STAMP on your license for fishing in the ocean. They dont need it in Minnesota, even if Lake Superior is so large you cant see the other side, most folks think its an ocean. Its still fresh water.Yes, I LOVE to fish, and Big 5 Sporting Goods will outfit you, whether its fishing, hunting, soccer, baseball, football, you need it, they have it! Checkem out!

Havent been to Big 5 in years. Its a pleasant place had quite a lot things that you can only get online these days. For the most part. Definitely going back and spend more time looking around.

Salesperson did not know anything about the product we were looking at. I told him what we needed and why ( just a weight bench) and still he gave us the wrong one and we had to take it back to get the right one.

I wish the store was bigger. The selection is limited but the only place to get affordable sporting goods. They run out of the sizes Im looking for all the time. And they get their stocks in too late; like mid to late season when Ive already bought it elsewhere because they didnt carry it earlier.

Also I like LA Gear remember they were a huge hit back in the 90s. Anyway some of the prices are reasonable some are okay but all are good. thats why I shop here.

We bought a pair of water proof boots as a gift. While paying for them, my wife noticed they didnt look exactly the same. The clerk and manager assured us they were the same.Upon opening the boots, the person who the gift was intended said these boots feel great, but they are NOT the same.One boot had speed laces, the other one didnt. We are taking them back to get a pair of the same boots.

This store has good prices on sale items. The employee who helped me was nice. He kept getting a paige to answer the phone but, he finished pulling my product from the cabinet and completed the sale before taking the call. He was polite and thorough. I always say that we have very few choices in shopping here in the Antelope Valley. I will go back to this shop.

First impression was that it was kinda small and dumpy. BUT, I found what I was looking for with the help of an employee who actually knew where things were located and seemed to Want to be helpful. Girl working the counter was excellent. Didnt catch her name but great customer service skills. Its s good place for SPORTing goods, but we only ever shop here in a pinch for camping/backpacking supplies. Their inventory is sparse but helps from time to time.
